Chapter 36 - Charlotte Linlin

One week after the news of the formation of the Rocks Pirates shook the world, flames began to engulf the islands of the New World.

In a prosperous kingdom famous for its culinary exports, the blue sky had been obscured by billowing clouds of thick black smoke. Screams of terror, the cries of children, and the crackle of gunfire shattered the peace.

In the harbor, a massive ship flying a pirate flag bearing a skull emblem sat anchored arrogantly.

In the heart of the kingdom's capital, beautiful buildings have crumbled into rubble. Amidst the destruction, a giant woman with long, pink hair sits atop a pile of treasure. Charlotte Linlin. She is still young, yet her stature and aura already hint at the form of a natural disaster.

"Mamamamama! This place really doesn't disappoint!" Charlotte Linlin's laughter boomed, her voice making the ground tremble. With her giant hands, she grabbed a handful of gold and silver jewelry, looked at it with satisfaction, then glanced at the three open, intricately carved wooden chests nearby. Three Devil Fruits. "The rumors about that brown Paramecia-type Devil Fruit might be false, but getting three Zoan-type fruits and this much treasure is a very sweet consolation!"

Nearby, a small man in a chef's uniform with a long mustache hurried over. Streusen, the executive chef and Charlotte Linlin's right-hand man.

"Linlin! Stop laughing and get ready!" Streusen warned, his forehead covered in sweat. "Our warning system just went off. A Navy warship is approaching this island!"

Charlotte Linlin snorted dismissively. She was chewing on a massive piece of sponge cake she'd snatched from the palace. "Pfft. Just the Navy. What's there to fear from those government lackeys? As long as it's not old man Falcon, Garp, Sengoku, or Zephyr, they'll just be snacks for Prometheus!"

Streusen shook his head vigorously, his face pale. "It's not them! Our spies reported a ship with a blue seagull emblem and red wings. It's a ship from G-5 Base… and leading it is Rear Admiral Red Eye! The man who's said to have withstood Garp the Mad Dog's attack at Marineford!"

Charlotte Linlin's jaw dropped. "What?!"

Her initial shock slowly faded, replaced by a wide, terrifying grin.

Charlotte Linlin's eyes sparkled with lust. Rear Admiral Red Eye's reputation as a young monster was well-known.

"Mamamamama! Red Eye, huh?" Charlotte Linlin licked her full lips. "I hear he's still very young and incredibly handsome. His strength is also extraordinary. Streusen... if I manage to conquer him and bring him to my bed... just imagine! Our offspring will surely become the strongest and most handsome monster in the seas! He'll be the best husband I could ever have!"

As Charlotte Linlin was indulging in wild fantasies about her future, the air around her suddenly felt hollow.

Swoosh!

A massive crescent-shaped slash of blue flame streaked at insane speed from the sky, slicing through the air and aiming straight for Charlotte Linlin's neck.

"Duck, Linlin!" Streusen shouted in panic. Both of them immediately leaped backward just before the slash cleaved through the pile of treasure and shattered the stone pavement within a radius of hundreds of meters.

Behind the billowing dust, three figures landed with the heavy thud of boots.

Quentin Seven stood at the front, his blue flame sword glowing brightly in his right hand. To his left and right, Sakazuki and Borsalino had covered half their bodies with magma and light.

At G-5 Base, Seven had left only Gunko behind, under the pretense of guarding the headquarters. Unbeknownst to Seven, the servant had been plotting something sinister against him.

On the battlefield, Sakazuki and Borsalino moved immediately. Without needing orders from Seven, the two teenage geniuses instantly understood their division of labor.

"That chef is our target, Sakazuki," Borsalino said casually. His body transformed into a flash of yellow light and instantly appeared in front of Streusen, delivering a light-speed kick.

"Don't give me orders, Borsalino! Dai Funka!" roared Sakazuki, unleashing a giant magma fist that forced Streusen to defend himself desperately, driving the chef away from his boss.

Now, in the middle of the shattered plaza, only Seven and the giant woman with pink hair remained.

Charlotte Linlin stood up, brushing the dust off her dress. Her eyes scanned Seven's muscular frame from head to toe, as if appraising the quality of sacrificial meat.

"Mamamamama! So the rumors were true. You're incredibly handsome, Young Admiral," Linlin teased in a coquettish tone that sounded terrifying coming from a body that massive. "How about you leave the Navy and join me? I'd love to have a few kids with you. You won't regret it!"

Hearing that, Seven's eyebrows shot up sharply. An overwhelming wave of nausea washed over her. Her red eyes, marked by the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, fixed on Charlotte Linlin with the most repulsive gaze she had ever directed at a living creature.

'Sleep with her? Have a child?' Seven thought with disgust. 'This woman behaves worse than a pig. Giving birth to a child from a different man every year. I don't know how many green hats I'd have to wear if I ever agreed to be with her. Disgusting.'

There was no verbal response. Seven immediately darted forward using 'Shunshin'.

Klang!

Seven swung his blue flame sword, which was immediately blocked by Napoleon, Charlotte Linlin's living sword three times the size of Seven's body. The collision created a shockwave that destroyed the buildings around them. Sparks of black lightning exploded in the air.

"You impatient man!" laughed Charlotte Linlin. "Prometheus! Burn him!"

The small sun floating beside Charlotte Linlin swelled instantly, unleashing a colossal wave of fire that swept down the street toward Seven.

Seven snorted coldly. His left hand formed a seal at lightning speed.

"Katon: Gouka Mekkyaku!"

A massive wall of red fire erupted from Seven's mouth, colliding with Prometheus's flames in the middle of the street. The two flames collided violently, creating a heat storm that dried out the air. Prometheus screamed in pain as Seven's flames slowly pushed his back.

"Zeus!" Charlotte Linlin called out angrily.

The dark cloud to Charlotte Linlin's left instantly swelled and flew toward Seven. "Take this! Thunderstorm!"

A massive purple lightning bolt struck directly toward Seven's head. Its speed left him no room to dodge.

However, instead of dodging, Seven's eyes flashed brightly. Dark purple giant bones with a terrifying aura burst out from his right side, forming a giant bony arm.

That Susanoo arm rose up, deflecting Zeus's lightning bolt like a steel umbrella. The lightning shattered and scattered, obliterating the ground, but not a single scratch marred the armor.

Charlotte Linlin's eyes narrowed sharply as she stared at the giant arm. "Mamamamama! So this is the true form of the power of that much-talked-about Mythological Zoan Devil Fruit, Susanoo!"

Before Charlotte Linlin could process what was happening, Susanoo's giant arm clenched, coating itself in Weapon Haki until it turned pitch black, then slammed forward with tremendous force.

At the same moment, Seven darted forward, riding the momentum of Susanoo's punch, her blue flame sword blazing as if slicing through the air.

A deadly combination of Susanoo's punch and Matatabi's sword slash.

BOOOM!

Charlotte Linlin crossed her arms, thickly coated in Armament Haki, to defend herself. Her "Steel Balloon" physique collided directly with the combined attack.

A massive explosion tore through everything. The air screamed. The ground beneath Charlotte Linlin crumbled into ruins. The giant woman's body was violently dragged backward, carving two long trenches into the rocky ground for hundreds of meters before she was finally flung and crashed into the remains of the castle tower.
