The Starfish ThrowerOnce, an old man was walking along a beach after a big storm. The shore was covered with thousands of starfish that had been washed up by the waves.The man noticed a young boy picking up starfish one by one and gently throwing them back into the ocean. The man laughed and said, "Son, there are miles of beach and thousands of starfish. You can't possibly make a difference!"The boy paused, looked at the starfish in his hand, and threw it into the water. He smiled and said, "It made a difference to that one."
