Jack and Hody Jones roamed the seas for a long time but couldn't find any enemies.
Finally, at Hody Jones's request, a reluctant Jack decided to head to Fish-Man Island.
Hody Jones summoned two whales to pull their small boat, and they arrived near Fish-Man Island at an extremely fast speed.
Hody Jones invited Jack to his home as a guest, but Jack disliked the feeling of powerlessness when exposed to seawater.
"But you can't go back either, Brother Jack," Hody Jones said. "Without my command, the whales won't take you back."
"..." Jack was silent for a moment, then grabbed Hody Jones and lifted him. "Why didn't you say so earlier?"
"I thought you knew!" Hody Jones said with a mournful face.
Jack was pondering how to return when Hody Jones suggested, "Why don't you come to my house first, and then I'll have my family send you back?"
"Alright," Jack jumped directly into the sea and began to sink to the bottom.
"Wait, we haven't applied the swimming coating yet!" Hody Jones didn't expect Jack to be so decisive and quickly dived into the sea to chase after him.
After applying the swimming coating to Jack, a bubble separated him from the seawater, allowing him to move freely in the sea.
"What is this...?" Jack asked in surprise.
"Swimming coating, it's somewhat similar to ship coating. Boss Jack, have you never seen this before?" Hody Jones asked.
Wano Country didn't have such a thing; if it did, many things would have been much simpler.
Jack recalled an unbearable experience, being tied up and thrown into the water again and again... "It'll be fine once we reach Fish-Man Island; there's a bubble shield there to separate the seawater," Hody Jones said.
Jack ignored him, instead swimming happily in the sea, finding the feeling he had before eating the Devil Fruit.
Whether mermaids or Fishmen, they are ultimately happiest living in the sea. Why must they go to the land?
Hody Jones didn't understand his mother, Queen Otohime's dream of migrating to the surface for "peaceful coexistence between humans and Fishmen."
But reality dealt them a harsh blow; they had originally agreed with Alabasta at the World Council to exchange resources for a piece of land to live on.
However, after Alabasta and the mermaids landed, they were also captured as "resources."
Hody Jones suddenly noticed Jack had topped swimming. "What's wrong, Brother Jack? Did the swimming coating leak?"
"Something's happening over there..." Jack said, pointing in a direction.
"That's..." Hody Jones's eyes suddenly widened. "Alabasta's Slave Capture Team!"
Ahead was the outer perimeter of Fish-Man Island, and under the bubble shield, an army was escorting a group of Fishmen, with several mermaids being closely guarded.
"Are they enemies?" Jack drew his scimitar.
"Yes, but..." Hody Jones was about to explain when Jack already charged out.
Upon contact with the bubble shield, the swimming coating on Jack's body automatically merged with it. His massive figure descended from the sky, and the scimitar in his hand heralded the beginning of a massacre.
By the time Alabasta's Slave Capture Team reacted, approximately one-third of their men had already fallen under the scimitar.
Looking at this figure like a god of death, someone recognized Jack's identity.
"You're Jack? Why are you here?"
"Do I need to report my whereabouts to you ants?"
Jack swung his blade at the speaker, but the person dodged with extreme speed.
"Is that Marine Six Powers?" Jack recognized that the person had used Soru to evade his attack.
"Marine? When did Alabasta get involved with the Marine?" Hody Jones, who followed closely behind, heard Jack's words.
"Not Marine, they have a familiar scent..."
Jack was trying hard to remember, but the person had already attacked with Rankyaku.
Jack ignored his attack; the Rankyaku barely fazed him.
He swung his scimitar, fiercely slashing at the person.
"Tekkai!"
In a critical moment, the person used Tekkai, one of the Six Powers, preparing to withstand the scimitar's attack head-on.
But under Jack's monstrous strength, Tekkai was ineffective, and the person was severely wounded directly.
"I remember now, you have that CP0 scent about you."
Jack had dealt with CP0 on Onigashima, and the enemies before him felt similar to CP0.
Outside Fish-Man Island, there was also a coated ship waiting to rendezvous with the Slave Capture Team.
Inside the cabin, several people dressed in pure white clothes with the Celestial Dragon hoof mark emblem on their collars noticed the change below.
After watching for a while, the leader gave an order, "Let's go."
"Aren't we going to help them?" The others were somewhat puzzled. "Together, we should be able to kill Jack."
"But it would take time... Jack's appearance here means Buggy wants to interfere with Fish-Man Island. I'm worried he might have more reinforcements," the leader said.
"Then Imu-sama's orders..."
Someone pulled out a photograph. In the photo, Shirahoshi was smiling happily, but there was a gap in the middle, as if pierced by a sharp object.
"Imu-sama should understand, as the opponent is Four Emperors Buggy. But how did that guy detect our plan? Did something go wrong?"
The white-clad leader looked at the berserk Jack, somewhat confused.
"Could it be a problem on the Gorosei's side? Only they knew about this operation," someone suggested.
"We'll investigate thoroughly when we get back. I can't believe our God's Knights' first mission was ruined by Buggy."
The coated ship left Fish-Man Island and ascended.
The abandoned Alabasta Slave Capture Team collapsed. They wanted to surrender, but Jack ignored them, relentlessly pursuing and slaughtering them.
A captured Fishman watched this scene, then suddenly bent down, picked up a weapon from the ground, and, still chained, joined the pursuit.
Other Fishmen cheered and followed suit.
After all the enemies were eliminated, all the Fishmen faced Jack and knelt on one knee.
"Lord Jack, thank you for saving us. Please accept our loyalty," the first rebellious Fishman shouted.
"Not interested." Jack put away his weapon; his opponents were too weak, leaving him unsatisfied.
"Please, Lord Jack, our Fishman race desperately needs a hero, a leader," the Fishman pleaded, unwilling to give up.
After Fisher Tiger's death, the Fishmen lost their leader and became disorganized.
Originally, Sea Knight Jinbe could have succeeded Fisher Tiger as the new leader of the Fishmen, but he abandoned this responsibility to follow Straw Hat Luffy.
Since then, the status of the Fishmen plummeted.
But now they have found an even stronger Fishman. In the eyes of Fishmen who worship strength, Jack was fully qualified to be the leader of the Fishman race.
"Leader?" Jack was somewhat confused.
I just went out to sea, and now I'm the leader of the Fishman race?
