Chapter 72 - Chapter 69

"Damn it! That Fujitora..."

Akainu looked at the disconnected transponder snail, knowing Fujitora was determined to go to the Kingdom of Alabasta.

He dialed a new transponder snail, "Black Horse, call Vice Admiral Tsuru to come to my office."

They were the old foundation left to him by Sengoku, along with Kizaru, who was far away in Wano Country, people Akainu could fully trust.

Fujitora and Aramaki were different; they were two extremes and had not yet earned Akainu's trust.

Fujitora was too soft-hearted, unwilling to sacrifice anything, unable to distinguish the weight of justice.

Aramaki, on the other hand, was crazy and reckless, too indifferent to life, often causing unnecessary casualties; sometimes,s Akainu didn't even know what he was thinking.

Soon after, Black Horse, the head of the Marine Criminal Investigation Department, and Vice Admiral Staff Officer Tsuru arrived at the Fleet Admiral's Office.

"Black Horse, how is the investigation into Cobra's assassination going?" Akainu asked.

"Not a single trace can be found," Black Horse said.

Tsuru glanced up at him; finding no trace at all was the biggest point of suspicion.

The Revolutionary Army was not at all familiar with the Holy Land. They couldn't have done it flawlessly.

Akainu cursed under his breath; it must have been those fools again who did it.

"However, I did hear a rumor that the World Government wants to pin everything on Clown Buggy..." Black Horse said, "That would make things much easier for them."

"Ever since Clown Buggy publicly killed a Celestial Dragon, no matter what he does, no one would be surprised; he's the perfect scapegoat."

"No matter what he does, no one would be surprised? Including attacking Marine Headquarters?" Akainu snorted coldly.

"This is intelligence that Borsalino risked his life to send back," Akainu handed the fax in his hand to the two of them.

"Two Four Emperors Crews?" Tsuru looked at the intelligence in her hand, "And one is a severely overstaffed Four Emperors Crew... It's truly not easy for Borsalino to still get intelligence."

"Why can Buggy subdue Kaido and Charlotte Linlin's subordinates?" Black Horse raised a question, "Have their deaths been confirmed?"

The intelligence the Marines received was that Kaido and Charlotte Linlin fell into underground magma, their fates unknown.

"How would I know that?" Akainu said irritably, "But the fact is that's how it is now."

"The Buggy Pirates' strength has greatly increased, and they've met with the Red Hair Pirates. Do you think it's possible they might come to attack Marine Headquarters..."

Through the intelligence of these past days, Akainu had gained a general understanding of Buggy. Unlike most chaotic evil pirates, he belonged to the lawful evil type.

Pirates pursued freedom, but he liked order.

Under his rule, those who followed the order not only wouldn't be harmed but would be protected by him.

Those who resisted would be executed without mercy.

Akainu thought his own way of doing things was already extreme, but then a pirate even more extreme than him appeared.

Logically, the possibility of such a guy attacking Marine Headquarters wasn't high, but he couldn't be prepared.

But the problem now was a lack of manpower; Akainu had no one he could use.

"If there's no other way, activate [Highest Alert], recall most of the Marines, and defend Marine Headquarters," Black Horse suggested.

"Now the Revolutionary Army is igniting wars everywhere, having already overthrown the rule of the eight kingdoms. If we recall the Marines, won't the World Government's member nations have objections?" Tsuru said.

Each country paid a huge amount of tenryuubito tribute in exchange for the Marines' protection.

If the Marines withdrew most of their forces, they would definitely be dissatisfied.

Just then, the fax transponder snail made a "beep" sound, and a piece of paper "spat" out from the device on its back.

Akainu glanced at the paper and immediately made a decision.

"Activate [Highest Alert]. Vice Admiral Tsuru, you go contact Sengoku and Garp, have them return to Marine Headquarters as quickly as possible. Black Horse, go notify Aramaki not to heed the Gorosei's orders, stay at Headquarters, and don't leave."

"What happened, Sakazuki?" Tsuru asked.

"Borsalino just sent a message; the Revolutionary Army's leader Dragon landed in Wano Country with cadre Ivankov." Akainu burned the paper in his hand to ashes, "The world is about to change..."

"What about the Holy Land, Mary Geoise? Should we notify them?" Black Horse asked.

"No... don't bother with them," Akainu said, "Don't they have the [God's Knights] in their hands?"

"Sakazuki, you'll be held accountable for this afterward," Tsuru said in surprise.

"That's a matter for later. Even if they hold me accountable, what can they do to me?" Akainu wasn't worried at all.

"I'll go handle it," Black Horse was the first to leave the office.

"Sakazuki, I've heard that there's now a faction of radicals in the Marines, mostly young Marines," Tsuru said, "They're somewhat dissatisfied with the current world..."

"Young people, full of passion, aren't they normal for them to be radical? At least they're better than those slick old veterans who've lost their sense of justice," Akainu didn't think much of it.

"Forget it, just pay more attention. Let's get through the current crisis first," Tsuru also left.

At the school in the Flower Capital, Kizaru began packing his things.

"The leisurely life is coming to an end, little snail."

From the moment he saw Dragon in the Prism, Kizaru knew he had to leave.

At the critical moment when the Revolutionary Army was inciting rebellion, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon, came to Wano Country; there must be something very important to do... Is it to attack the Holy Land, Mary Geois,e or to attack Marine Headquarters?

Kizaru hoped it was the former, but he couldn't gamble on it.

After packing up, just as Kizaru was about to jump out the window, a voice stopped him.

"Go say goodbye to the children, Mr. Bunta," Tsuru had somehow already arrived outside the door.

"I'm just going out to buy some oden..." Kizaru said awkwardly.

"Don't underestimate a woman's intuition. You're leaving, aren't you, Mr. Bunta?" Tsuru said.

"Yes, there are some things I need to do," Kizaru knew he couldn't hide it anymore.

"My late husband also said he was going to do great things, then disappeared for twenty years," Tsuru smiled sadly, "You men always say this, but you don't care how a woman survives in a country like hell."

Seeing Kizaru's stiff expression, Tsuru regained her composure, "But this has nothing to do with you, Mr. Bunta. Maybe you won't come back after this, but before you leave, say goodbye to the children; they really like you."

"I understand," Kizaru opened his bag and put on the white Marine robe.

"Justice? Is this your belief, Mr. Bunta?" Tsuru looked at the two large characters embroidered on the back of the Marine robe.

"That's right," Kizaru walked out of the room and saw the children had already gathered after receiving the news.

"Kidsthe teacherer is leaving. Maybe it's a group of pirates who will save your country, but I want to tell you that in other parts of the world, there are still people wearing such clothes maintaining the world's order; they are called the Marines."

"Teacher isn't that extreme; whether they're Marines or pirates, as long as they have a sense of justice, Teacher will acknowledge them."

"No matter what you become in the future, the teacher hopes you won't forget these two words, 'justice.' This is the last thing I can teach you."

"Finally, Teacher is... really strong!"

Kizaru turned into light and shot through the sky; for a moment, the strong ones in the Flower Capital sensed it, except for someone not skilled in Observation Haki.

The light streaked across the sky, heading straight for Wano Country's port.

Dragon, who had just gotten off the ship not long ago, sensed something, and his hands turned pitch black.

The next moment, the light arrived before Dragon, transforming into Kizaru's figure, kicking fiercely at Dragon.

"Long time no see, traitor of the Marines, Dragon."

Dragon's hands turned into Dragon Claws, blocking Kizaru's kick.

"Borsalino, you're actually here! I said the flames of revolution have been ignited; won't you come help me?"

"Your ideal world is too beautiful, harmonious, free, equal, a world full of dreams is simply impossible to achieve, Dragon."

After one strike, Kizaru didn't linger in battle, directly flying away from Wano Country.

"Compared to your utopia, Buggy's method is more realistic," Kizaru's voice came from afar.

"For you to praise him so highly, I'm really a bit interested," Dragon said.

"Ivankov, let's first take a look around this country!"
