Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Dimensional Travel

With the misunderstanding cleared up and both confirmed as Hero Association colleagues, the tension eased.

Nearly a hundred meters separated them. Not ideal for conversation. Jordan took the initiative to approach Blast, and the magnetic field fluctuations he sensed intensified with each step.

The man before him was a walking humanoid nuclear bomb. Violent energy overflowed from his armor's surface. The matter around his fists existed in constant distortion, as if a single punch could shatter space with overwhelming force.

Indeed, there were no wrong nicknames, only wrong names. "Blast" was truly fitting.

Suppressing his surprise, Jordan opened the conversation. "So my ranking already entered A-Class top ten? When did that happen?"

Blast paused, then burst into laughter. "Haha, no need to worry about that kind of thing. I just happened to see it while gathering intel."

His smile carried unique infectious power. Even people in panic would feel tremendous security upon seeing it.

Not for any reason except: he came.

When a powerful being's biomagnetic field reached a certain threshold, it subtly influenced other organisms even without deliberate display. Like a tiger suddenly emerging from grass could frighten a rabbit to death. The legendary dragon's might operated on the same principle.

Conqueror's Haki differed only in being weaponized to eliminate weaker enemies.

After chatting briefly, the two became somewhat acquainted.

"Let's leave it there. Since there's nothing else, I'll head out now." Blast shook his fists, dark gravitational waves rippling outward. He seemed prepared to depart. "After all, I'm still quite busy with work."

The explanation wasn't very convincing.

What did "busy with work" mean? He'd basically become a consultant instead of a hero. Didn't answer phones or reply to messages. Wouldn't show up unless the Earth exploded.

Even Jordan, who considered himself a professional slacker, was more dedicated than that.

At this point, Blast had already embarked on his path of confronting the god.

A thought struck Jordan. He decided to chat with this mysterious, rarely-seen hero. "Your deeds are well-known in the Hero Association. I heard you haven't shown yourself much since joining, have you?"

"Hey, you're quite observant. How can you slander me out of thin air?" Blast stopped, scratching his head. "Was it Sitch who said that? I already told him I'll only show up when truly needed. How can he spread rumors everywhere?"

"Could you tell me about your specific duties?"

"Well..." Blast's expression turned serious. He looked Jordan up and down, then changed the subject. "Among humans, you're already one of the few strong ones. But the fewer people who know what I do, the better. So... let's look forward to meeting again!"

Subtext: Although you're strong, you're not strong enough yet, young man.

Tch. What kind of amazing encounter did this old man have?

After finishing with a laugh, a circle of light resembling a black hole materialized around Blast.

Jordan sensed the surrounding gravity and space becoming abnormally chaotic under the portal's influence. A gap had been torn in spacetime itself. Countless spacetime substances he'd encountered during dimensional travel swirled inside the black hole's event horizon like stellar rings.

The handsome middle-aged man grinned from within the vortex, clapping his fists together before his chest. Spacetime energy flowing from his hands connected to form a perfect Möbius strip. The violent spacetime power suddenly collapsed into a singularity.

A blinding wave of light swept past.

All matter, including Blast himself, vanished before Jordan's eyes.

Looking at the empty ground, Jordan couldn't help sighing. "Spatial abilities are really good for showing off."

"But uncle, seems you drop something, didn't you?"

F-boy, who'd vanished since Blast appeared, materialized with one hand extended. He offered Jordan an orange card radiating golden light.

[Fantasy Card: Dimensional Travel]

Type: Ability Card • Rarity: SSR

A fragment of talent drop by "Blast," the Hero Association's strongest hero. He has spent years traversing spacetime rifts to fight against the god, possessing unique understanding of dimensional mechanics.

Effect 1: Spacetime Affinity

Frequent contact with spacetime matter imbues the user's body with certain spacetime characteristics. Reduces consumption of spacetime-related abilities to 10%.

Effect 2: Spatial Teleportation

Opens dimensional portal connecting to unknown world. Using this on an enemy forcibly banishes them. Blast named this move "Dimensional Seal."

When possessing a "Spacetime Beacon" of a related world, opens two-way portal to that world. Upon returning to the main world (One-Punch Man), this ability begins cooldown after one month.

As expected of one of humanity's top heroes. An instant SSR-rank pull.

According to the description, this was only part of Blast's innate talent, yet it already matched Tatsumaki's SSR tier.

Jordan secretly regretted that what he'd "collected" wasn't the gravity manipulation ability Blast excelled at most.

Combat power improvement was secondary. The important thing was... they'd almost been able to replicate planet-destroying techniques!

Still, good news: he could finally explore other worlds properly.

The god's black box wasn't something encountered easily. Since transmigrating, Jordan had only found it once, and that was detecting residual aura after use.

After all, the god's power gift could create super-sized monsters like Homeless Emperor with Dragon-level energy control in minutes. If such occurrences were common, the Hero Association—which didn't yet have Bald Cape Man—and even human society itself would be riddled with holes and utterly defeated.

The problem was coming.

Jordan yanked F-boy from thin air. The Stand patted his grabbed arm with disgust. Despite being a half-naked exhibitionist, he solemnly adjusted his collar mid-air, eyes full of contempt.

Indeed, elegance never went out of style.

"Stop messing around." Jordan slammed "Dimensional Travel" into his chest, the card dissolving in orange light. "Translate this: what exactly is a 'Spacetime Beacon'?"

Items, abilities, or other things that exist physically and possess the aura of another world can serve as spacetime beacons.

After a moment's thought, as if remembering something, Jordan suddenly reached out. Under F-boy's disapproving gaze, he pulled a blue card from the Stand's card-woven skirt armor.

The Senzu Bean.

Yes, you can go if you want.

"Wait a minute! I was just asking." Jordan casually returned the R-rank card to the deck. "It's not like there's only one option. Dragon Ball is a godforsaken place where you can blow up planets with just ten thousand power level. I can't afford to go there."

What if they arrived during the early stages when Frieza still ruled?

F-boy's expression said it all: Then don't ask stupid questions.

"But I refuse!" Jordan shoved F-boy back into the void. The two pointed middle fingers at each other across their mental link. "You said 'what if,' so you just want us both to die, right?"

F-boy vanished completely, leaving only psychic contempt echoing through their bond.

Jordan pocketed the SSR card's knowledge. Spacetime affinity, dimensional portals, world-hopping capabilities.

The possibilities were endless.

But first, he needed to be smart about which worlds to visit.
