Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Yamcha’s Transformation

Across the barren wasteland, fierce winds carried sharp grains of sand that stung like countless tiny blades against the skin.

The air itself felt suffocating, heavy with tension. Two completely different auras were about to collide, and the pressure between them crackled like static before a storm.

Standing atop a rock in the rear, Krillin kept his hands in his pockets. Across his vision, the AR interface streamed endless data, cascading like a digital waterfall.

[System Notice: Key story node detected – "Yamcha's Death."]

[Historical Correction Mission Activated: Redemption of the Wolf Fang.]

[Objective: In the original timeline, Yamcha was caught off guard and killed by a self-destructing Saibaman, becoming a benchmark for power scaling. Ensure Yamcha defeats all enemies without injury and decisively crushes the Saiyans' confidence.]

[Current Target: Yamcha | Z Fighter | Test Subject No. 1 under Krillin]

[Status: Stabilized Overclock State | Simulated Kaio-ken Output]

[Power Estimate: 2,100 suppressed → ??? potential burst]

Krillin sighed inwardly.

Yamcha, if you cannot handle a few Saibamen, I am throwing you into the 300x gravity chamber with Trin for a month.

As if sensing that not-so-kind thought, Yamcha felt a chill run down his spine.

He inhaled slowly, circulating his energy through the unique pathways Krillin had drilled into him.

The six Saibamen struck in an instant.

They moved with frightening speed, splitting into six green blurs that sealed off every escape route. Front, back, sides, even above.

Claws shrieked through the air. Acid sprayed down like rain.

In the original timeline, this was a death trap.

Today, it was nothing more than a joke.

"Too slow."

Yamcha's voice was calm, yet it carried clearly across the battlefield.

A low hum filled the air. No blazing aura erupted, only a deep, restrained vibration, like a high-pressure engine roaring to life within him.

This was Krillin's refined method. Power compressed inward, minimizing wasted energy and maximizing impact.

Snap!

The first Saibaman lunged, its claws stopping just a centimeter from Yamcha's face.

Its jaws were already open, ready to tear out his throat.

The next instant, its head exploded like a melon struck by a hammer.

No wasted motion. Yamcha lifted his arm, threw a punch, and withdrew.

So fast it looked as if he had never moved.

Nappa's grin froze.

"What?!"

Before he could react, Yamcha vanished.

"Let's play a little whack-a-mole."

He reappeared above two Saibamen on the left. With both fists raised, he brought them down casually.

Boom!

The two creatures were smashed straight into the ground before they could even scream. The rocky terrain collapsed into a crater, their bodies crushed beyond recognition.

The fourth fell next. Yamcha spun and delivered a clean side kick. The Saibaman's spine snapped instantly, and it was sent flying hundreds of meters away, embedded deep into a distant cliff.

The sequence flowed seamlessly, brutal yet precise.

The last two Saibamen hesitated.

Even they could sense the danger now.

One turned to flee. The other began to glow red, its energy core destabilizing as it prepared to self-destruct.

"Trying to blow yourself up?"

Yamcha smiled faintly, calm and confident.

Compared to the hellish training Krillin had put him through, this was slow motion.

"Spirit Ball: Twin Dragons!"

With a flick of his hand, two compressed blue energy spheres shot forward.

These were not ordinary Spirit Balls. They spun with a cutting edge, refined into something far more lethal.

The twin spheres curved through the air like living dragons, slipping past the Saibamen's defenses.

Pierce. Pierce.

Both creatures had their heads cleanly penetrated.

The one preparing to self-destruct lost control instantly. Its energy core collapsed before it could detonate. Its body twitched once, then dissolved into a pool of green fluid.

Six Saibamen.

Eliminated.

Time elapsed: 3.2 seconds.

Yamcha stood among the scattered remains, brushing imaginary dust from his gi.

He turned toward Nappa, who stood frozen in disbelief.

Slowly, Yamcha raised his hand.

Thumb up.

Then turned it downward.

"So that is your so-called elite bio-weapons? Got anything tougher? I did not even break a sweat."

Silence.

The battlefield fell into a dead stillness.

Even the wind seemed to stop.

Goku stood off to the side, clutching a handful of senzu beans, his mouth hanging open.

"Wow… Yamcha's energy feels so sharp. Compressing everything into a single point, striking, then pulling it back instantly… I have not fully mastered that yet."

Tien narrowed all three eyes, sweat forming on his brow.

"He actually did it… blending Kaio-ken's burst into normal attacks. Is this what Krillin meant by perfect control?"

For the Saiyans, this scene shattered everything they thought they knew.

The calm mask on Vegeta's face finally cracked.

His scouter flickered wildly before letting out a sharp burst of static.

"This is impossible…"

He pressed the device, trying to reset it, fingers trembling with tension.

"There is no way a human's power jumps from 1,400 to over 4,000 in an instant!"

"Even Raditz would not have been defeated this cleanly!"

Nappa's expression darkened further, shock giving way to fury.

"You… damn you!"

He ripped off his armor, revealing muscles like carved stone. Veins bulged across his body as golden energy flared around him, crushing the ground beneath his feet into dust.

"I will tear you apart!"

He roared, advancing like a rampaging tank.

Each step shook the earth. His full power surged outward, thick and suffocating.

At that moment, Krillin's system displayed the result.

[Notification: Yamcha has successfully reversed his fate.]

[Battle Rating: S Rank | Flawless Victory | Overwhelming Dominance]

[Reward: Skill Fragment acquired – Wolf Fang Fist, Ultimate Variant x1]

Krillin nodded in satisfaction, a faint smile on his lips as he looked at the enraged Nappa.

Now the real show begins.
