Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Lisha flies toward Regal, swinging her scythe wildly at his body. Regal jumps back and ducks, dodging the attack.

The knights, eager and anxious to charge, talk amongst themselves, discussing their battle plan. The flag-bearing knight on a horse blows a trumpet.

Lisha looks back to see five hundred knights running toward her, their weapons at the ready.

"It looks like you dogs are so impatient to die. Very well then. I was having fun toying with you, but playtime is over, boy!" Lisha cries out.

Lisha jumps behind Regal, swinging her scythe at his right arm. Regal, unable to dodge, falls to the ground, screaming, as his right arm lands in front of him, lying in a pool of blood.

"Well. It has been fun, my playful mutt!" Lisha cries out.

Lisha swings her scythe, aiming for Regal's head. He rolls away and manages to mark a cut across Lisha's leg.

"Lord Regal!" a knight calls out.

He charges toward Lisha with the sword gripped tightly in his hand. Lisha swings her scythe and slices his torso in half.

"Attack! Wreak havoc on these wretched scums!" A wolfen cries.

The rest of the demon army runs to meet the knights. A fierce battle clashes in the middle of the green and peaceful plains. The screams of warriors echo through the air as the wolfen claw and gnaw their way to the necks of the humans. The knights bounce their swords against the solems, unable to hit the skin in between the armored exterior of the towering giants.

Regal carries himself up and runs toward Lisha in the middle of the chaos. He readies his dagger, aiming at Lisha's neck.

"You're bleeding out, human, without any help. The end is near for you," Lisha berates him.

She sheathes her scythe and punches Regal in the chest. Regal gasps for air as he stumbles back, his stump of an arm still dripping blood.

"You vile witch!" a knight cries out, swinging his weapon toward Lisha.

Lisha sidesteps to the left, avoiding the blade before snapping the knight's neck.

"Broken like a twig. You humans are nothing but playthings," she says, smiling.

Regal, losing consciousness, peers up at Lisha, his eyes burning with anger and hatred. He continues to struggle breathing, keeping himself awake as the battle wages on.

Five hours have passed since the first sword was unsheathed, and only ten knights remain. The remaining knights surround Regal.

"My lord, we will defend you," a knight tells him.

Lisha walks over to the pool of blood. Her voluptuous body is covered in blood from the many knights she has slain. She and the remaining fifteen solems surround Regal and his knights.

"To think you knights would best my wolfen." Lisha mocks them as she grabs her bosoms with fondness. "I haven't had such fun in a long time. A few of your knights even managed to cut my precious thighs. That made me furious!"

A maniacal laugh leaves Lisha's mouth.

"I don't even need the solems to finish you off."

Lisha charges, jumping into the circle of knights protecting Regal.

"Enjoy the afterlife," she whispers, as a small grin forms on her face.

She pulls her scythe out and twirls it in a circle, cutting all the knights in half. Killing them in one swift slash. Covered in blood still, Lisha stands before Regal, looking down at his dying body.

Regal looks up from his position, kneeling and crying. "Goddess Receive my spirit for it is done," he cries out.

"I am surprised you lasted this long with that wound." Lisha spits on him. "You really have the stamina, don't you? Or perhaps you're some sort of potion addict? No matter. Let the worms remember you."

Lisha turns her back on Regal as the solems surround him. She smiles relishing the beautiful harmony of pain and closes her eyes before letting out a small chuckle.
