Deep space. Inside the Devil's Anus wormhole.
If Sakaar was a junkyard, the wormhole's interior was a high-speed washing machine stuffed with stellar fragments and twisted timelines.
The War Song rattled like a tin can in a hurricane. Every alarm screamed. Every red light flashed. The hull groaned under forces that physics textbooks would have described as "catastrophically unsurvivable."
"HARD TO PORT! Avoid that fragment!" Jake white-knuckled the co-pilot's handle, his organs attempting to rearrange themselves.
"I'M TRYING!" Valkyrie's hands blurred across the controls, eyes blazing with the particular madness of someone who'd been born for this. "THIS is flying! THIS is what it means to be alive! Hold that handle or become paste!"
In the back, Bruce Banner — Hulk reverted, human, fragile — clutched his seatbelt with both hands, glasses crooked, face the color of old cheese.
"I shouldn't be here. I'm a scientist. I have seven PhDs. I should not be drag racing through a cosmic waste disposal—"
"Deep breaths, Banner." Thor clapped his back, though he was being tossed around just as violently. "Think of Asgard. They need you. More specifically, they need the other guy."
"No — we don't need him." Banner pushed his glasses up stubbornly. "I can help. I can fly a ship. Probably."
BOOM!
The ship punched through something invisible — a membrane between dimensions — and the turbulence vanished.
The view opened.
Thor's smile died.
Asgard.
The golden realm was burning.
Half the palace had collapsed. Black smoke and death-clouds choked the sky. And hovering above the ruins — trailing smoke from a dozen hull breaches — the Devil's Hammer. Vilgax's flagship, still operational despite everything Hulk had done to it.
Alien drones and Asgardian undead soldiers swarmed together, converging on the Bifrost Bridge where thousands of refugees had been forced to the cliff's edge. Behind them: a bottomless abyss. Before them: an army of death.
"That's my home." Lightning flickered in Thor's eyes. "They're committing a massacre."
"Your sister's redecorating. Terrible taste." Jake scanned the radar — dense red contacts everywhere. "Vilgax arrived first. He's using the ship's main cannon on the defense shields. Battle stations."
Bifrost Bridge. The end of the line.
Heimdall — bloodied, exhausted, still standing like an iron tower before the refugees — held Hofund in a grip that hadn't loosened since the siege began.
"Put down your weapon, Heimdall."
Hela walked toward him in black-and-green battle armor, the antler crown of death rising from her head. Beside her, Vilgax — wrists bandaged, expression murderous — surveyed the huddled civilians with the cold calculation of a conqueror taking inventory.
"The alien is useless in a fight," Hela said, glancing at her ally, "but his biochemical army has been effective. Give me the sword. Open the Bifrost. I'll grant you a quick death."
"The queen needs no prisoners," Vilgax said. "Kill them all. That boy with the watch will come to save them. I'll pave his path with their corpses."
ROAR—!
Fenrir — the massive black wolf — leaped from beneath the water, blocking the refugees' retreat. Giant wolf ahead. Death army behind. Nowhere to go.
"FOR ASGARD!" Heimdall raised Hofund for a final stand.
Then — engines. Screaming from the sky.
The War Song dove through the clouds like an angry comet. Valkyrie opened every weapon system. Machine guns rained fire onto the undead positions.
RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!
Rows of undead soldiers and bio-drones exploded.
"The Valkyrie's ship!" Hope blazed in Heimdall's eyes.
The ship hovered over the Bifrost. Hatch opened.
"BANNER! You're up!"
Bruce Banner — sunglasses on, jaw set — jumped.
Thirty meters. Free fall. Arms spread. Waiting for the transformation.
Everyone looked up at the "secret weapon" descending from the sky.
Thud.
No transformation.
Banner hit the Bifrost face-first. Full human. The crystal surface cracked under the impact. He didn't move.
Dead silence.
Hela raised an eyebrow. "How embarrassing."
Vilgax laughed coldly. "These are your reinforcements? A suicidal human?"
On the ship, Thor and Jake covered their faces.
"I knew it." Jake sighed. "He always chokes at the critical moment."
"Fine. We do it ourselves."
Thor's eyes blazed white. He leaped from the hatch, hit the Bifrost in an explosion of lightning, and punched two undead soldiers into vapor.
"HELA! Your opponent is ME!"
Jake stood at the hatch. Below: the dense enemy force, Fenrir sniffing at Banner's "corpse," and thousands of terrified civilians with nowhere to run.
For this many targets, this much chaos, he didn't need precision. He needed overwhelming firepower.
"Omnitrix — give me something big."
Green light.
Jake leaped. Mid-fall, his body expanded — skin hardening into brown armor, mass multiplying, a heavy tail growing behind him. Twelve meters. Twenty tons. Built for destruction.
Humungousaur.
But this wasn't the end.
Mid-air, Jake slammed the emblem on his chest — activating a function he'd earned at Chapter 50 and held in reserve for sixty-five chapters.
[ULTIMATE EVOLUTION — ACTIVATED.]
CLACK-CLACK-CLACK!
The Omnitrix roared. His body mutated again.
Brown skin darkened to deep green. Harder armor plates sealed over his entire frame. The shell on his back split open, revealing two rows of bone-tube launchers — biological Gatling guns, grown from his own skeletal structure. His arms restructured into massive organic cannons. His tail sprouted a spiked mace.
Ultimate Humungousaur.
BOOOOM!!!
He hit the Bifrost hard enough to make Fenrir stumble backward.
Vilgax's face — his composed, conqueror's mask — cracked with genuine shock.
"The Evolutionary Function?!" His octopoid features twisted with greed. "That Earthling unlocked Azmuth's ultimate code?!"
"ROAAARRR!!"
Ultimate Humungousaur's battle cry shook the bridge. His arms rose — not fists, but biological artillery.
"Firepower coverage — NOW!"
BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG!
High-explosive bio-missiles erupted from his arm cannons and dorsal launchers — dozens at once, trailing green exhaust, arcing across the battlefield in a saturation bombardment that turned Vilgax's robot phalanx into a field of fire and shrapnel.
Explosions walked across the Bifrost. Flames swallowed half the bridge.
And on the ground — the "corpse" moved.
Banner's skin flushed green. Muscles swelled. Clothes tore. Bones cracked and reformed.
"ROOAAARR!!!!"
A roar that dwarfed Fenrir's shook Asgard to its foundations.
Hulk — ONLINE.
He grabbed Fenrir by the tail, swung the mythical wolf overhead like a toy, and slammed it into the sea.
Thor — wreathed in lightning, eyes glowing white, no hammer needed.
Jake — Ultimate Humungousaur, cannons smoking, standing at the center like a walking weapons platform.
Hulk — beating his chest, shaking the Bifrost with every impact.
Valkyrie — circling overhead in the War Song, guns locked on target.
"AVENGERS—"
Thor's voice carried across the burning realm.
"—ASSEMBLE!"
Hela watched. Her smile widened. Two massive Necroswords materialized in her hands. The aura of death around her solidified into something almost visible.
"That's more like it."
She stepped forward.
"Now it feels like a proper funeral."
