Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Possessed

"I'm your wife, nice to meet you, darling~"

"Eh? Wife?"

Nevaris' brain stalled for exactly 0.2 seconds before realization dawned on him.

"So you are one of my lucky fiancees, huh? Though I must say, quite the first impression you are making?... Had enough yet?"

By this point, Lilith had dragged her lithe fingers over every inch of Nevaris' chest and torso. Her hands were now dangerously close to his adonis belt, her fingers ghosting over his muscles like a silk breeze.

"No!" Lilith responded without looking away, "J-Just two-no! F-Five more minutes!"

Nevaris sucked in a breath of cold air as her fingers traveled lower, sending a tremor through his body.

Grabbing her hand he gazed down at her with a dangerous light in his eyes.

"Careful lady…wouldn't want to start something you can't finish right?" Nevaris spoke in a low voice.

Lilith looked straight into his eyes, and for the first time, he got a good look at this fiancee of his.

'H-Huge…' Nevaris mumbled inwardly.

As his gaze swept over her, the two gravity-defying mounds of sacred flesh on her chest caused his body to heat up.

"Like what you see, darling~" a voice woven in the softest silk brushed his ear like a seductive whisper.

Nevaris' silver eyes met her green ones. The desire in them was like a web, hidden in plain sight.

Patience and quiet. Waiting for him to fall into its ensnaring embrace and wrap him in a cocoon of overwhelming passion.

'Well shit, she's an Arachne alright. Got yandere written all over here.' Nevaris was sweating inwardly.

"U-Uhh, moving kinda fast aren't we? We just met, shouldn't we get to know each other firs-SHIT!"

With a thud, Nevaris was on the floor in a blur of moment. Lilith sat on top of him, her gaze hazy and her breath ragged as she placed her hands on both sides of his head, his manhood held snugly between her sensual thighs.

"I-I don't care! You smell amazing, like the sweetest Idun apple. I-I gotta have a taste!"

'Shit this doesn't look good!' Nevaris screamed inwardly. Getting pinned down by a horny arachne was not on the top of his To-Do list when he arrived in this new life.

"H-Hey let's take a second to-" Nevaris began.

But before he could finish the thought, four pairs of nine-foot spider scythes emerged from her back and pierced the floor all around him, trapping him in a cage of limbs.

"No more talk! Let's let our bodies do the communicating, honey~"

Nevaris didn't fully understand how stats worked in this world yet and without knowing her own stats, he didn't want to be too rough with her and end up tearing his new fiancee in two by accident.

Everything was happening too quickly and his mind couldn't keep up.

Just as one of the death scythes on her back began trailing up his leg, a shy voice, so quiet it seemed like a whisper, broke through the heated atmosphere.

"U-Ummm, i-is--is he c-clothed yet?" Ana said.

Lilith reacted as if smelling salts had been stuck up her nose. The glassy look in her eyes faded instantly and her senses seemed to have returned.

"W-What happen-" She began, but her voice was cut short when she felt a burning heat and thickness coming from between her thighs.

Her pupils constricted and every thought stalled.

Without a hint of shame, Nevaris looked up at her and smiled, "Welcome back, enjoying the view?"

Lilith lowered her head until her hair covered her face saying nothing. For some reason, Nevaris began to feel a very bad premonition mounting in his future.

When Lilith lifted her head and flashed a beautiful smile, the room seemed to have plunged into an icebox. With the playfulness of a cat, she unhurriedly moved her hands from his waist up to his chest as she moved her face closer to his.

Though her every move looked and certainly felt seductive, Nevaris felt as if he was stuck in a spider web, his every limb refusing to respond to him as he lay beneath her at her mercy.

Nevaris gulped.

Was he scared? Very.

But did he want this deranged woman to stop? Not for his life!

"I don't know about that~. But I think you are enjoying this a lot more than me aren't you~?" She whispered teasingly in his ear. "But unfortunately…"

Suddenly her entire demeanor shifted as her eyes turned murderous.

"You won't be living long enough to enjoy the experience fully~~"

Nevaris' face broke out in sweat as he whipped his head toward his ever-trustworthy butler for help. Only to see him ushering everyone else out of the room.

"OI! You old lizard, get this crazy chick off of me!!" He screamed.

Just before rounding the corner, Garren leaned his head back into the doorway with a smile that expressed how much pleasure he was taking in his master's predicament.

"Ah, don't worry young master. The young miss won't kill you…probably. Anyway this OLD LIZARD will be waiting for you both in the drawing room!"

"W-Wait, don't you dare-Hyee!"

Before he could call him back, a bone-like scythe pierced the floor in front of his face. Turning his head mechanically, he met Lilith's furious gaze, the sadistic gleam in her eyes sending shivers down his spine.

"C-Can't we talk this out? Husbands and wives should handle disputes without resorting to violence. I don't even know what I did!"

Lilith flashed a smile full of fangs as she began to pull a line of thick silk-like thread from her wrist.

"Nope~. I think establishing hierarchies early on in the relationship is very productive. And whether you did something or not, me being upset is enough reason to punish you, right~?"

As Garren and Ana walked out of Nevaris' wing, his screams of pain echoed once more.

Ana looked back worriedly and spoke in a hesitant voice, "W-Will t-the young master be o-okay?"

Garren didn't even look back as he responded lazily, though the hint of schadenfreude in his voice wasn't very well concealed, "Don't worry young miss Ana. The young master will be just fine."

The drawing room atmosphere was a little strange.

On one of the couches, Lilith sat calmly with a perfect mask of calm indifference on her face as she sipped a cup of tea. Seated next to her, Ana sat nervously, shifting back and forth as her eyes moved between Lilith and the figure seated across the table from them.

Nevaris sat back on his couch comfortably. He wore nothing but a new pair of black pajama pants, a large silver necklace reminiscent of a usekh on his neck.

His brown skin seemed to gleam like flawless bronze, his body was still skinny but had filled out a little and was quite muscular. His eyes were like pools of mercury, but a subtle violet gleam on their edges gave him a hypnotic, almost predatory charm.

If not for the prominent black eye and the red rope rashes around his body, he would look divine. Though judging by the slight blush on Lilith's cheeks she failed to hide and the furtive glances of the maids in the room, he was still very handsome.

Standing behind Nevaris, Garren cleared his throat awkwardly as he started proper introductions.

"Young master as you can no doubt deduce, these two are the fiancees arranged for you by Emperor Hyperion." He said. Pointing to his left, he introduced them.

"The lady that you are no doubt already acquainted with…"

Nevaris: *glare*

"...is Lady Lilith Silkweave of the Arachne race. Firstborn daughter of their Queen."

Nevaris shot her a weary glance as she put on a harmless smile and winked at him.

Garren continued, "This cute young lady is Anantashesha of the Titanboa race. It is believed that she served some time as their priestess, but due to some…circumstances, she volunteered willingly to be the young master's bride."

When Ana felt Nevaris' gaze directed toward her, her eyes widened in panic as she shrank back shyly. But her eyes kept glancing back furtively to his face in fascination.

Though confused by the strange looks she was giving him, he gave her a reassuring smile as he met her gaze.

"It is nice to meet you, Ana."

Hearing his voice, Ana's hands fidgeted before she returned a shy nod.

'Cute.'

Nevaris couldn't help but chuckle at Ana's demeanor. Compared to the maneater on the couch next to her, Ana seemed much more like wife material.

Lilith, who had been about to raise her cup to her lips, stopped mid motion. She shot him a suspicious glare as she questioned, "Were you thinking something rude just now?"

Add mind-reader to the list as well.

Nevaris wasn't proud of it but he flinched at her gaze before quickly denying it, "No, no, absolutely not. Just thinking about how good your thighs felt-NO! I meant how beautiful you are!"

Trying to cover up his slip, he quickly corrected himself under her cold stare. Lilith let out an unconvinced scoff and turned back to her tea.

Sinking back into the chair with a sigh of relief, Nevaris almost jumped out of his skin when Garren's wizened face appeared close to his.

"...What are you doing, old man?" he questioned irritably.

Garren stared at him for a second longer before he finally spoke. And his words instantly changed the vibe of the room.

"Who are you and where is my young master?"
