Victor remained silent for a few seconds after Charlotte's request, clearly pondering whether this was really a good idea or just another absurd situation piling up that day. In the end, however, he only let out a tired sigh, like someone who had long since accepted that logic had left.
"Okay… whatever," he murmured.
Without ceremony, he extended his arm toward Natasha, slightly twisting his wrist to make it easier, as if it were something completely normal—which it definitely wasn't.
Natasha, on the other hand, froze instantly.
Her gaze went from his arm to his face, then to Charlotte, and then to Serafall, as if she were waiting for someone to say it was a joke.
"I'm not going to do it," she said immediately, crossing her arms instinctively, even though she was still visibly affected by what had happened before. "I didn't run halfway around the world to become… this."
Victor shrugged.
"Great, one less problem for me," she replied, already starting to lower her arm.
