Approximately twelve hours later, Victor finally opened his eyes.
The first thing he noticed was the silence.
The training ground looked completely different. Daylight had disappeared, replaced by the cold glow of the moon and the lanterns scattered throughout the Demonic Cult's buildings. The night air was colder up in the mountains, carrying the distant scents of trees, damp stone, and the energy formations that continued operating throughout the region.
Victor remained seated in the lotus position for several seconds, still feeling energy circulate through his three newly formed Dantians. The flow was so natural that it seemed absurd to think that this structure hadn't existed within his body that morning. Mana entered, was refined in the Lower Dantian, distributed through the Middle Dantian, reached the Upper Dantian, and returned through the meridians in a constant circulation that seemed to work in harmony with his Blood Energy.
He took a deep breath.
