Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: It's Good to Have a Mom

"The previous accident allowed me to master a secret technique like Rampage, so if I continue down this path, I should be able to develop more techniques and maybe even create my own Bloodline Limit."

Sora said as he slowly brought his hands together after listening to Tsunade's advice.

If someone carefully sensed the chakra around him, they would notice something unusual.

Although invisible to the naked eye, Water Nature Transformation chakra was condensing in Sora's left hand while Fire Nature Transformation chakra gathered in his right.

The two opposing chakras were colliding, yet under Sora's precise control, they did not conflict with each other.

It seemed the accident in the Land of Waves had given him a new understanding of how water and fire could interact.

"Since the previous fusion of water, fire, and Vital Energy produced Rampage, then this must be the correct path," Sora thought.

"However, that fusion happened by accident and nearly cost me my life. Repeating it now would be extremely difficult, so I should begin with chakra first."

After making up his mind, Sora formed a hand seal.

More than thirty Shadow Clones instantly appeared around him.

With Tsunade and Shizune nearby—especially now that Tsunade had overcome her Fear of Blood—Sora could train without worry.

Within a day or two, Tsunade's strength would return to its peak state.

At that point, even a Kage-level opponent would not easily threaten him.

"Lady Tsunade, what kind of training is Sora doing?" Shizune asked after sparring with Tsunade for nearly an hour.

"It looks like Nature Transformation, but also something else. Hasn't he already mastered Water and Fire Nature Transformation?"

"When Sora was tempering his body with water and fire chakra in the Land of Waves, an accident occurred," Tsunade explained calmly.

"His Water and Fire Nature Transformation chakra fused with his Vital Energy, producing a dramatic change.

It allowed him to control his Vital Energy with incredible precision and led to the creation of a new technique he calls Rampage.

Simply put, Rampage accelerates blood flow, increases adrenaline secretion, sharpens the mind, releases the body's hidden potential, and unleashes combat instincts sharper than those of a wild beast."

Tsunade looked toward Sora with a proud expression.

"He is now attempting to fuse water, fire, and Vital Energy (Blood). If he succeeds, he may create an entirely new Bloodline Limit."

"I never expected that something Sora mentioned casually before would actually become reality," Shizune said in surprise.

"I told you long ago that this child is a different kind of genius," Tsunade replied proudly.

"Look at him now. He is accomplishing things that many so-called geniuses cannot. In today's Ninja World, most geniuses simply inherit their clan's secret techniques or Bloodline Limits.

They rely on the achievements of their ancestors. If they weren't born into those clans, how much could they accomplish compared to someone like Sora, who started from nothing?

In my eyes, those people are not true geniuses. Only someone who creates his own techniques deserves that title."

After watching Sora train for a while, Tsunade suddenly spoke again.

"Shizune, go run an errand for me this afternoon."

"What is it, Lady Tsunade?" Shizune immediately stood up respectfully.

"Take this letter to Konaha and deliver it to the Third Hokage," Tsunade said as she handed over a sealed scroll marked with a protective ninjutsu.

Even a jonin would not be able to open it.

"I understand, Lady Tsunade." Shizune quickly realized what Tsunade intended.

Tsunade was preparing a larger stage for Sora.

She wanted him to see the other geniuses of the Ninja World and witness the true strength of Konaha, the village known as the strongest ninja village.

For Sora, Tsunade was even willing to face things she hated most—her Fear of Blood and even the thought of returning to Konaha.

"So we are finally going back," Tsunade murmured to herself.

"Well, if it is for Sora, returning once is fine. I want to see just how corrupt Konaha has become."

A full week passed.

Yet Sora's progress had stalled.

"Water and fire... why is there still no breakthrough after a whole week?" Sora muttered irritably.

Although he had gained better control over the two types of chakra, the fusion itself had not advanced at all.

"Come here and rest," Tsunade said gently.

"If one path doesn't work, try another. Being stubborn won't help."

Sora suddenly felt warmth surround him as Tsunade pulled him into an embrace. The frustration in his heart disappeared instantly.

Resting his head against her soft chest, Sora closed his eyes and carefully reviewed everything that had happened during the accident in the Land of Waves.

"Water and fire are extreme opposites," he thought.

"Trying to fuse them directly is almost impossible with my current control. Even Mom would struggle with that. It seems I chose the wrong path."

Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind.

"Vital Energy! That's right. I was foolish. The purpose of combining water and fire was to temper my Vital Energy.

Since childhood, my Vital Energy has already been tempered by these two types of chakra. The three formed a triangular cycle.

If Vital Energy is removed from the equation, the cycle collapses. Water and fire must be balanced by Vital Energy.

Blood like blazing sunlight and Vital Energy like flowing tides. That balance allows water and fire to coexist."

Realization flooded his mind.

"I really wasted a lot of time," Sora muttered with a bitter smile.

Fortunately, Tsunade had reminded him in time. Otherwise he might have continued wasting weeks on the wrong approach.

Having a kage-level mother truly made a difference.

Even if Tsunade could not directly help him create a Bloodline Limit, her experience allowed her to guide him whenever he strayed from the right path.

"I understand now, Mom."

Overcome with relief and excitement, Sora turned around and hugged Tsunade tightly.

Looking at her warm and enchanting smile, Sora could see that she was genuinely happy for him.

Without thinking, he leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips.

Tsunade froze for a moment.

With her speed and reflexes, she could easily have avoided it.

But she didn't move.

Instead, she allowed Sora to kiss her, letting out a quiet sigh as the moment lingered between them like a gentle breeze by a riverside.
