Gripping their sword hilts, Gian and Suneo wore their Bamboo Copters and engaged Flying Elephant near the city gate tower.
Under the effect of the potion, the already powerful elephant demon became even more aggressive and completely abandoned defense.
The heavy blows caused cracks in Gian's and Suneo's palms, but such injuries meant nothing because of their immortal bodies.
Even if they were smashed into paste, they could revive again.
The battle continued repeatedly while the potion's effect slowly faded and the elephant demon became weaker with each clash.
His final hope rested on the invulnerable metal soldiers behind him.
"Thundercloud Gas."
Doraemon pulled out a gas canister and twisted the valve as thick black gas continuously spread into the air and formed a dark cloud.
The cloud drifted toward the metal soldiers attacking the city gate and intense lightning suddenly struck down.
The metal bodies instantly twisted and deformed under the electric current as if squeezed by an invisible giant hand.
Their outer shells began melting under the lightning and flowing silver metal gathered into puddles on the ground.
Soon they completely collapsed into piles of scrap metal.
"Damned humans you all deserve to die."
Seeing the destroyed metal soldiers below the city wall, Flying Elephant stared at Doraemon in horror.
He never expected that in only two and a half hours the strongest army of Demon Spirit Emperor Odom would be completely destroyed by this tanuki demon mage.
The blood-red color in his eyes slowly faded.
While he was momentarily distracted, two swords struck at the same time.
"Demon die."
Gian and Suneo cut off the elephant's ears together which caused his massive body to lose its floating ability and fall rapidly.
"Ah."
Flying Elephant crashed down from the mountain slope to the cliff below and lay motionless on the grass.
He was dead.
"Victory we are victorious."
As the enemy flags fell one after another, the soldiers on the city wall erupted into loud cheers.
They had suffered no casualties and easily enjoyed victory with the help of the item masters.
Flying Elephant's corpse was carried back into the city and paraded through the streets.
"Why are you shaking again."
Nobi Hiroshi was preparing to return and rest when the silver sword at his waist suddenly vibrated again.
This meant enemies were still nearby.
His relaxed expression immediately changed and his sharp gaze scanned through the cheering crowd until he spotted a dark shadow hiding behind the pagoda roof.
With a hooked nose and sharp eyes, there was probably no uglier bird in the world.
Its sinister gaze carefully observed Doraemon's secret pocket which proved it was no ordinary bird.
"Hmph."
With a quiet laugh, Nobi Hiroshi activated his Bamboo Copter and silently moved closer while blending into the stone wall so he would not alert the enemy.
"So it was this strange pocket causing all the trouble and I have finally discovered the secret of this tanuki demon. I must quickly return and report to Demon Spirit Emperor Odom."
The birdman revealed a proud smile and prepared to fly away.
However, before he could leave, a flash of silver light suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Ugly bird you are quite smart but unfortunately you will not have a chance to report back to your master."
With a swift strike, several blood-stained feathers fell into the mud below.
The birdman looked confused as he seemed to see his own body.
"That is my body so why is there no head."
Before he could understand anything further, his body collapsed backward onto the city wall walkway.
"Ah what was that."
Startled by the sudden noise beside her, Shizuka jumped back in surprise.
"Do not worry it was only an ugly bird secretly spying."
Nobi Hiroshi returned his sword to its sheath and descended slowly with his Bamboo Copter while gently touching Shizuka's cheek.
It was most likely a spy sent by Demon Spirit Emperor Odom to monitor the battlefield.
If that was the case, it would normally return to its master to report everything.
Suddenly an idea appeared in Hiroshi's mind.
"Doraemon do you have any gadget that can temporarily change someone's appearance and body shape."
"What do you need that for," Doraemon asked curiously.
"Just lend it to me first and I will explain the plan later."
Keeping everyone curious, Hiroshi used Doraemon's Shaping Clay to change his appearance into the birdman's form.
Although he disliked the ugly appearance, he endured it so he could quickly deal with Demon Spirit Emperor Odom.
"I will use this disguise to deceive Demon Spirit Emperor Odom and assassinate him."
"If something goes wrong I will call Doraemon for help."
The group gathered together as Nobi Hiroshi explained his plan.
If the assassination succeeded then everything would be resolved.
If it failed, it still would not matter.
He could use the locator to call for support and anyone who knew the target's location could immediately arrive using the Anywhere Door.
"I think your plan will definitely succeed Hiroshi."
Doraemon clapped happily and took out the Person Finding Staff to guide Hiroshi since no human knew the location of Demon Spirit Emperor Odom's base.
"You all return and wait for me because I am leaving now."
After saying goodbye, Nobi Hiroshi followed the direction pointed by the Person Finding Staff and flew toward Dark City.
He flew from noon until evening and finally arrived near Dark City after a long journey.
Along the way, he passed several cities already occupied by Demon Spirit Emperor Odom.
The guards looked at him normally and did not suspect anything.
Some even waved at him.
The disguise worked perfectly.
"How is it birdman did you discover anything about that tanuki demon mage for me."
A strange demonic voice echoed inside the dark hall.
Nobi Hiroshi had just landed and had not even caught his breath when Demon Spirit Emperor Odom walked toward him while leaning on his staff.
The staff dragged across the floor and produced a harsh scraping sound that felt like the laughter of death.
Nobi Hiroshi remained silent.
Speaking would expose his identity and the distance between them was still not close enough.
At the same time, the opponent's terrifying appearance also made him pause slightly.
His black robe looked like deep night itself and released a suffocating aura.
His pale face appeared thin and sunken while two green lights flickered inside his eye sockets like poisonous snake eyes.
His small eyes were extremely sharp and whenever he narrowed them the chilling malice became even clearer.
"Why are you not speaking did you fail to discover anything."
After waiting for a long time, Demon Spirit Emperor Odom slowly approached him and his tone became impatient.
As the black robe moved closer step by step, Nobi Hiroshi quietly prepared himself while the hidden silver sword between his legs became ready for the assassination strike.
