Chapter 26 - Integration

The bag of multiverse technology hit the heavy oak table with a thud that seemed to silence the very air in the command center. It wasn't just the weight of the items; it was the potential they represented—a leap forward in survival that defied the crumbling physics of our world.

Dr. Okoye, Liang, and Marcus stood around the table, their faces illuminated by the faint, sterile blue glow of the stabilization field I had wrapped around the contents. Their eyes were wide, a mixture of avarice and scientific hunger dancing in their irises.

"Batteries," I said, pulling out a sleek, silver cylinder the size of my finger. It hummed with a subtle vibration, vibrating against my palm. "High-density graphene-hybrid. One of these can power the greenhouse heaters for a month. We have twenty."

Liang reached out, his calloused hand hovering over the device. "And this?" He pointed to a stack of grey metal sheets that looked like liquid smoke frozen in time.

"Titanium alloy," I said. "Lighter than steel, three times as strong. It self-corrects minor dents when heated. Use it for the gate reinforcements and the new watchtower plates."

"And this?" Dr. Okoye's voice was barely a whisper. She was staring at a vial of swirling blue liquid that seemed to crawl up the glass.

"Nanites," I said. "Medical grade. Programmable. They don't just heal; they seek out cellular damage and reconstruct it. We use these for life-or-death only. We don't know the side effects of using them on Mist-mutated biology yet."

The room buzzed with a new, electric energy. It was hope, sharp and dangerous. But I needed to channel it before it turned into entitlement or chaos. I slammed my hand on the table, the sound cracking through the room.

"Listen up," I said, my voice hard. "This tech changes things. It makes us stronger, yes. But it also makes us a beacon. If word gets out that we have unlimited power and miracle healing, every raider gang and desperate warlord for fifty miles will be at our gates. No one leaves this base with tech they don't absolutely need to do their job. Understood?"

I turned to the System interface, projecting it visibly for the first time, letting them see the intricate web of light that guided my decisions.

[SUB-AUTHORITY MODULE: ACTIVE]

[GRANTING ACCESS: ALEX SHEN (TACTICAL MAP)]

[GRANTING ACCESS: MARCUS CHEN (LOGISTICS INVENTORY)]

[GRANTING ACCESS: KENNA OKOYE (AGRI-SCAN)]

"Alex, you see the threats before they happen. Marcus, you track every nail, every battery, every can of beans. Kenna, you track crop health and soil toxicity. You report directly to me. We move as one body, or we die as individuals."

The hierarchy was set. The council was no longer just a group of survivors; it was the brain of the valley. And we were about to get much, much smarter.
