Chapter 1 - The Cold Heir

Chapter 1

The sky of Dhaka city is no longer the same. The silver sheet that once covered the entire city in the morning mist is now covered in a gray layer of dust and smoke. Akram Chowdhury removed the window glass and looked outside. Even though the month of Magh is on the calendar, the bone-chilling winter is no longer the same as before.

‎ The two-story duplex house is headed by Akram Chowdhury.

‎After him, there are 3 more bosses:

‎Arman Chowdhury. His wife Pushpa

Ibrahim Chowdhury. His wife Arifa

Irham Chowdhury. His wife Halima

‎Akram Chowdhury 1 son Riddha Chowdhury.

‎Arman Chowdhury 1 son Ihsan Chowdhury.

‎Irham Chowdhury 2 twin sons Tian and Tiash.

‎1 daughter Mala Chowdhury.

‎Riddha Chowdhury Age 28

‎Ihsan Chowdhury Age 22

‎Mala Chowdhury Age 17

‎Tian Age 8

‎Tiyas 8

‎Riddha Chowdhury is returning home from America after 5 years. All the members of the family are happily cooking for the eldest son of the Chowdhury family. Among the 4 siblings, Riddha is the apple of everyone's eye.

‎The difference between Riddha Chowdhury 5 years ago and Riddha Chowdhury today is sky and earth. There is no way to tell even by looking at him. The 6-foot tall boy has a fair yellow complexion. A full-cheeked beard. A messi cut hair style. Any girl is bound to fall in love with his fashion and look.

‎Seeing Riddha, Tian and Tiyas run to him. Tian asks what have you brought for us, brother?

‎Riddha smiles and replies, I have brought chocolates and a remote control car for you and Tiyas. Hearing this, the two mothers hugged Riddha.

‎He brought gifts for everyone in the family.

‎Riddha looked around looking for Mala. But he couldn't see her anywhere. He asked his younger mother, where is Mala?

‎Halima Begum smiled and replied, Mala has gone to college.

‎Mala returned home from college in the afternoon. As soon as she stepped into the drawing room, she saw a man sitting on the sofa, working intently on his laptop. A tall figure, wearing a black shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

‎Mala's heartbeat stopped for a moment. She said in a low voice, "Riddha, brother?"

‎Riddha didn't take his eyes off the laptop. Only his fingers were moving on the keyboard. After about a minute, he closed the laptop, but didn't look at Mala. Taking out his phone from his pocket and looking at the time, he said in a serious voice,

College breaks at 3 pm, where were you for the remaining 2 hours?

Mala's mouth was not speaking. Riddha's voice was not as soft as before, it was serious.

‎Mala said, actually I went to the library with my friends.

‎This time Riddha stood up and stopped in front of Mala. Mala looked very small in front of his huge height. Riddha's eyes had no emotion, but rather a look of contempt. He looked directly into Mala's eyes and said,

‎"You haven't learned to lie yet, Mala. I don't like the girls of the Chowdhury family standing and chatting at the crossroads. From now on, I want you to return home on time."

‎Without stopping for a moment, Riddha passed by and went up the stairs. The gift packet brought for Mala was lying carelessly on the table. He didn't even feel the need to hand it over to Mala.

‎Mala stood there stunned. She took the gift in her hand and entered her room.
