Victor rose from the bed and moved toward the door. When he opened it, he found a man in a black suit standing outside with a straight posture and a composed expression. The man's presence felt restrained, yet there was an unmistakable heaviness in the air around him, as though his body carried immense weight despite the calm exterior.
"Mr. Walker, Sir Alexander has summoned you to his manor," the man said in a measured, professional tone.
Victor's gaze sharpened as he instinctively assessed the person before him. A translucent interface appeared in his vision.
[Name: Frank Lampard
Rank: Third Transformation
Strength: 200,000 tonnes]
Victor's eyebrows lifted slightly. His surprise did not stem from the number being overwhelming. Instead, it felt unexpectedly low. Compared to the terrifying power he had witnessed from Alexander, the difference was almost difficult to reconcile.
"The strength gap between each transformation truly is enormous," Victor thought silently. Alexander possessed one point two billion tonnes of strength. That figure alone dwarfed Frank's power by more than five thousand times. Even though Frank was already a Third Transformation gene warrior, the distance between him and someone like Alexander resembled the difference between a hill and a mountain range.
"Sir, give me five minutes. I will get ready," Victor said politely.
"Alright," Frank replied with a brief nod.
Victor closed the door and entered the washroom. He splashed cold water onto his face, allowing the lingering fatigue from the previous day to fade. After that, he straightened his clothes, adjusted his collar, and made sure his appearance looked presentable. Although he was not overly concerned about formalities, he understood that meeting someone like Alexander required at least a minimal level of composure.
When he stepped out again, Frank was waiting exactly where he had been before, unmoving like a statue. The two of them walked downstairs together and exited the hotel. A hovering vehicle floated silently near the entrance, its sleek metallic surface reflecting the morning sunlight. They entered the vehicle, and it rose smoothly into the air. The city spread beneath them as the car accelerated forward. Within four minutes, the vehicle slowed and descended before a massive villa that resembled a private estate more than a residence.
The gates opened automatically as they approached. After entering, Victor noticed the carefully maintained gardens, the polished stone paths, and the understated luxury that surrounded the place. Frank led him inside without delay. They moved through a wide hallway before arriving at a dining area.
Alexander was already seated at the dining table, casually eating breakfast.
"Victor, Frank, come and join me," Alexander said without looking particularly formal.
Victor did not hesitate. He sat down on one of the chairs and reached for the dishes as though he were at home.
"Thank you, sir, for inviting me," Victor said while placing food onto his plate with little restraint.
Frank's expression twitched slightly. Victor's casual behavior bordered on disrespectful in a place like this, yet he remained silent. Alexander, however, seemed amused rather than offended.
"Geniuses often have interesting characteristics," Alexander remarked as he continued eating.
The meal proceeded quietly for a while. Victor focused entirely on the food, and Alexander observed him with a faint smile. After they were halfway through, Alexander placed his utensils down and looked at Victor again.
"I will send Frank with you. He will speak with the White family and warn them not to trouble you anymore. You should also restrain yourself from now on until the Trial, at least," Alexander said calmly.
"I'll remember, sir," Victor replied.
"In that case, you should leave soon. I have heard that the Whites are planning to attack the civilian district. They appear to have backing from a major city, so they are not afraid of the consequences," Alexander added.
Victor froze for a moment before standing up abruptly. He had remained calm because he believed they would not dare attack a residential area. However, if they truly had powerful backing, then they might act recklessly. His mind immediately turned toward his family. The possibility alone was enough to tighten his chest.
Alexander noticed the urgency in his expression.
"Do not worry. They have only planned it. They likely will not act until noon. If you take a flying jet, you will arrive within minutes," Alexander said.
Victor nodded, but the anxiety remained.
…
Meanwhile, inside Alex's house, the atmosphere had grown tense. A group of gene warriors from the White family had arrived early in the morning. Their presence filled the living room with pressure. Robert stood in front of the hallway, his expression firm despite the obvious disparity in strength.
"Robert, you should stay out of this if you want to keep your family safe. If you insist on protecting them with your meager strength, then remember that the White family has a Third Transformation warrior as their backer. He is also a two star citizen. Attacking a civilian house would not be a serious matter for him," the leader said coldly.
They had come to take Elina and Luna. They preferred not to create unnecessary chaos, but they were prepared to use force if required.
"No one is going anywhere. If you want to destroy the place, then do it. But remember that Victor has gone to find a backer. The strength he displayed would likely earn him support from a Third Transformation gene warrior. Are you certain you want to take that risk without seeing him first?" Alex said calmly.
His voice remained steady, yet his words carried a chilling implication.
"You all have friends, families, and loved ones. As crazy as he is, he would gouge out your eyes and rip apart your children if he discovered that you were the ones who took his mother and sister. He would bathe in the blood of your loved ones. Perhaps the White family would survive the aftermath, but you First Transformation warriors would face his wrath personally."
Robert stared at his son in astonishment.
"Where did you get this much courage son? Even your old man is not as brave as you are. I am really proud of you," he muttered you told with pride in his eyes.
The threat actually worked. The warriors hesitated. They had witnessed Victor's brutality toward Ray White. Something about that boy felt unpredictable. They exchanged uneasy glances.
"Then call him here quickly. Otherwise, even if we face consequences, we will drag his family out," one of them said after a moment.
At that instant, Alex's phone rang. He saw Victor's name and answered, placing the call on speaker.
"Alex, if any bastards come to take Mom and Luna, tell them that I am bringing a Third Transformation being with me. I will shred them and their families into pieces. I will arrive in thirty minutes at most," Victor's voice echoed.
"Alright," Alex replied calmly before looking at the group with a faint mocking smile. "You heard him."
The warriors' expressions changed. Fear crept into their eyes. In a small town, a Third Transformation gene warrior was treated like royalty. If Victor truly brought one, their situation would become disastrous.
Suddenly, the door burst open with a loud crash.
Tren White entered the room with an impatient expression. He was Ray's cousin and a First Transformation gene warrior.
"What is taking so long? We are waiting outside," he shouted.
He paused when he noticed the strange tension.
"What is going on?" Tren asked.
"Tren, Victor said he is bringing a Third Transformation being," the leader explained.
Tren stared at them for a moment before bursting into laughter.
"Third Transformation? And you idiots believed him? Even our backer in the city is a Third Transformation powerhouse and the head of the Nolan family. My grandfather cannot summon him casually unless it is a life and death matter. You think that punk can bring one here? Are your brains filled with cow dung?" Tren mocked them.
The warriors flushed with embarrassment. Alex realized the bluff had lost effectiveness.
"Step aside, or die," Tren said coldly.
Just as tension escalated, Richard appeared.
"You cannot take them from here," he said firmly.
"Hall Master, are you really opposing the White family? Do you not want your martial hall to continue operating?" Tren sneered.
"You should not be impulsive. Even with backing, attacking a civilian district carries harsh punishment," Richard replied.
Tren ignored him and called his grandfather. Five minutes later, two powerful auras approached.
"Richard, are you certain you want to stand in our way? He destroyed my grandson's future. This is a blood feud that can only be resolved with blood."
