Chapter 3 - Chapter 02

Y/N~

After the house placement, I make my way to the Ravenclaw common room to pick up the key to my dorm. The place is buzzing with first-years like me, all wide-eyed and giddy, trying not to trip over their suitcases. The room itself is gorgeous—straight out of a dark academia dream. A massive fireplace crackles in the center, surrounded by antique armchairs that practically beg you to curl up with a book. The high-arched windows let in just enough moonlight to make the place feel mysterious, and I think to myself, Yeah, this house is definitely my vibe.

After waving off a couple of new friends, I head upstairs to my dorm room. My key fits into the door with a satisfying click, and I step inside. What I'm not prepared for is someone standing in the middle of the room, wearing what looks like an Iron Man mask.

"Ravenclaw really suits you, Minx," he says, flashing a bunny-toothed grin after he takes off the mask.

"Bunny!" I scream, dropping my bag and launching myself at him like a rogue Bludger.

He catches me effortlessly, spinning me around while we both yell incoherently. I might look calm 80% of the time, but Jungkook brings out the chaotic 20% like nobody else. He's the reason Lima barely had to twist my arm to come here—well, him and the promise of magic.

"I missed you, Jeon," I mumble into his shoulder, ruffling his dark raven fluffy hair like I've been meaning to do for the last month.

"I know. Bet you've been absolutely miserable without me for the past four weeks," he teases, which earns him a solid slap on the arm.

"As if."

Jungkook and I have been best friends since before either of us could properly walk. The kind of bond where you share everything, from crayons to dark secrets, without a second thought. He started at Hogwarts a month before me because, unlike me—a proud muggle-born—he's pureblood, with wizarding parents and everything.

But the best part? He somehow convinced the Ravenclaw Head of House to make me his roommate. How? I don't ask questions. I just thank the universe for Jungkook's insane charm.

He helps me unpack and settle in, his usual confidence shining through as he chats about how he knew I'd get sorted into Ravenclaw. "We're basically the same person," he says, "except I'm way cooler, obviously."

"Sure. Keep telling yourself that," I reply, rolling my eyes.

After changing into my Ravenclaw uniform, I follow him back down to the Great Hall for dinner. The long tables are packed with students, and the energy is electric. As I take my seat with my new housemates, I feel it—this sense of belonging. I'm part of something bigger now.

"Y/N!" a familiar voice calls, and I look up to see Lima bouncing over to my table. She's already in her Gryffindor uniform, her red-and-gold tie slightly askew. Typical Lima.

"How's your dorm? Is it cool? Who's your roommate? Do you like them? I mean, they're probably not as cool as mine—" She fires off questions like rapid spells, barely pausing for breath.

"Gryffindor's definitely your house," I laugh, cutting her off before she hyperventilates.

She beams and launches into a monologue about her dormitory, her housemates, and some dramatic tapestry on their common room wall. I nod along, only half-listening, until Jungkook clears his throat beside me.

"Right!" I interrupt Lima, gesturing toward him. "Officially meet my twins for life-slash-roommate, Jungkook!"

I expect a quick handshake and polite introduction, but nope. The second Lima locks eyes with Jungkook, she freezes. Her face goes full red, and she's staring at him like he's a piece of Honeydukes chocolate she can't afford.

I nudge her arm, snapping her out of it. She blinks rapidly before finally shaking his hand. "Oh! You're the Jungkook! Nice to meet you," she says, her voice just slightly higher than usual.

Jungkook, bless him, doesn't seem fazed. "Nice to meet you too," he says with his signature bunny smile, oblivious to the fact that Lima's about five seconds from fainting.

As soon as the handshake is over, Lima bolts back to her table without another word, leaving me to stifle a laugh. "What was that?" I ask Jungkook, raising an eyebrow.

"Probably my natural charm," he says, smirking.

"Oh my god," I reply, rolling my eyes.

It's not like I don't get it, though. Jungkook is ridiculously attractive—broad shoulders, killer smile, and those stupidly sparkly eyes. Every girl who meets him ends up a flustered mess. Luckily, I'm immune. I've known him too long, and to me, he's basically my annoying little brother.

Dinner wraps up, and I lean on table with one hand propping my chin, feeling completely at home for the first time in weeks. Hogwarts might be new, but with Jungkook here, it already feels like the start of something incredible.
