Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Jyu vs Meito

"Go on ahead, let me handle this," said Cobra, who had now stepped forward to face the old Arabai.

"Are you serious? I've fought him before, he's strong," Jyu explained.

Cobra glanced back with a smile, "If the enemy is old, then the one who fights him should be old too."

Jyu immediately ran off, leaving Cobra with the old Arabai. Surprisingly, the Arabai didn't chase after Jyu, showing no interest at all in killing him anymore. Now his gaze was fixed on Cobra, as if there was even a burning desire to begin a deadly battle.

Jyu didn't want to waste this opportunity. Quickly, he ran off to search for Kuma's curse. Every inch of the demon castle was explored in search of it, but unfortunately, there were no results.

Now Jyu had reached the main area of the demon castle. He stood behind a massive pillar to hide from all enemies. There were too many battles happening between Karakura and Alber's forces.

This was the only place Jyu hadn't searched yet, but stepping out now meant joining the fight. Still, there was no other choice. This was the only way for him to quickly find Kuma's relief.

Jyu drew his sword and dashed through the ongoing battles. Whenever there was an opening, he struck enemies who were still busy fighting Karakura. One enemy fell, their stomach torn open by Jyu's black blade.

His actions continued until Jyu reached a spot he suspected to be where Kuma's relief was located.

"Damn it!" Once again, the relief wasn't there.

Instead of focusing on searching, Jyu was shocked by Sizhi's presence in the battle. But not as an ally—she was an enemy, fiercely attacking Karakura.

Jyu's legs moved on their own, sprinting toward Sizhi. Amid the chaotic battle, it turned out an Arabai protected Sizhi. His entire body was black, wearing tattered clothes, and his face resembled a monkey's.

Jyu showed no mercy. He immediately attacked Sizhi—not to kill her, but to snap her back so she would return to the DV Army's side.

Jyu's left fist struck Sizhi's stomach, catching her off guard. She was sent flying and collapsed onto the ground, writhing in pain from the powerful blow.

"Hey, hey, hey, don't attack while someone's busy fighting. That's cowardly!" said the protecting Arabai, clearly caught off guard by Jyu's strike.

"Leave! I want to talk to my friend."

"What kind of ridiculous request is that? She's my responsibility. If I leave, my master will kill me."

"Meito, beat him—but don't kill him," Sizhi said with a very serious tone.

The Arabai named Meito immediately revealed his claws. They were incredibly sharp and long. Strangely, they looked wet, with droplets constantly dripping onto the floor.

It was poison.

Meito's claws were coated with deadly poison. A single scratch could take a life. Jyu immediately became cautious, drawing his sword and preparing to fight.

Meito attacked, his claws raining down on Jyu from all directions. Even the splashes of poison from those claws managed to hit Jyu's body.

"Relax, my poison only works if your body is wounded."

The speed of Meito's attacks was truly troublesome. Several times, Jyu was cornered. He only survived by accidentally colliding with other enemies. In those moments, Jyu used them as shields. They were the ones who died from Meito's claws.

"This poison is truly deadly!" Jyu exclaimed in shock as he saw the reaction of Meito's victim. Within three seconds, the body began to sweat, turn blue, and even shrink, as if deprived of water.

Jyu dropped to the floor, looking exhausted after struggling to avoid Meito's relentless attacks.

"My poison is special. Once it enters the body, it instantly causes blood to evaporate. That's why the victim sweats and dries out immediately. This is the greatest art of my poison."

Jyu couldn't waste any more time. He had to defeat Meito quickly if he wanted to find Kuma's relief as soon as possible. His only option was to fight with Kuma's help.

There was indeed a risk that Kuma could be destroyed, but this was the only way to win quickly. Still, Jyu felt more confident facing all enemies as long as he fought alongside Kuma.

In an instant, Kuma appeared in front of Jyu.

"Grrr"

Kuma's appearance drew the attention of all mystical creatures. Alber's forces froze, clearly eager to attack Kuma. Of course, Karakura didn't stay silent—they quickly intercepted them.

A second later, Kuma ran forward, once again moving like a child learning to walk. Meito mocked him.

"Is this doll really the threat we're worried about?" he said, laughing loudly.

But Kuma had already done far more than that. Every enemy he passed suddenly fell silent, trapped in the illusion he created. Jyu immediately followed up, cutting them down without mercy. All of them fell!

Now, the path to attack Meito was wide open. Meito stared at Kuma seriously. Of course—he could no longer underestimate that bear doll. One mistake, and he would surely lose easily.

Kuma's power was all about distance. As long as one stayed at a safe range, his illusion wouldn't take effect. Meito had already realized this, quickly jumping back to maintain distance.

Suddenly, Meito began sweating—but the sweat only poured from his armpits.

"Kuma, stop!" Jyu shouted.

Now, Jyu and Kuma stopped at a considerable distance from Meito. Both kept their guard up as Meito acted strangely. He was clearly preparing a troublesome attack.

"This demon is disgusting… do I really have to fight a demon with sweaty armpits?"

Suddenly, Karakura and Alber's forces near Meito collapsed unconscious. A second later, they struggled to breathe, their bodies unable to function properly.

Meito walked slowly, smiling victoriously. One by one, he approached Karakura and killed them with his sharp claws.

"What's happening?" Jyu was confused by what he had just witnessed. He also worried about Taffie's condition, since every wound Karakura suffered would be transferred to her.

In Jyu's mind, he had to stop Meito immediately. But he didn't know how, especially since he still didn't understand what kind of power Meito was using.

"Hey, I'm your enemy. Don't touch them. Are you afraid of me already?"

Meito only laughed. "Afraid? Then attack me right now."

"Grrr"

Kuma seemed impatient to strike, but Jyu kept holding him back. A single careless move would cost them both the fight.

Meito slowly approached Jyu. Every step he took brought death. Any Karakura he passed would collapse unconscious, then be brutally killed. Even more irritating, Meito kept opening and closing his arms, as if playing with his sweaty armpits.

"What is he doing?" Jyu looked disgusted watching Meito's behaviour. His armpits made a sticky sound every time he moved his arms, and sweat kept splashing in all directions.

"Why do I have to fight such a disgusting enemy?"
