The battle is about to begin, and everyone is nervous in their respective positions. Our friends prepare for the fight; we see that at MALEKIN's location, all the soldiers are finally arriving.
RENJIT: Malekin, all of our forces are now gathered; we have around 70 soldiers.
MALEKIN: Renjit, this is going to get very troublesome. I sense about 200 soldiers on the enemy's side. I hope our soldiers can buy us some time so we can advance and help them later.
RENJIT: Don't worry, DANTE should be arriving with the dog soon, and we'll be able to do much more.
MALEKIN: Good, let's get started with this; something tells me it won't be easy this time. SOLDIERS, ATTENTION, PREPARE FOR BATTLE! I KNOW WE ARE HEAVILY OUTNUMBERED THIS TIME, BUT DO NOT WORRY BECAUSE I AM HERE, AND WE ALSO HAVE EXTRAORDINARY ALLIES. A massive roar echoes across the battlefield. All the soldiers prepare for war and begin to advance, while on MAMMON's side:
MAMMON: ALRIGHT, YOU MISERABLE WRETCHES, IT'S TIME; CHARGE!
All of MAMMON's troops begin to advance; the 200 soldiers start sprinting to fight against MALEKIN's soldiers, when we see that DANTE arrives at the entrance of the city where MALEKIN was, accompanied by REX and bringing some soldiers they managed to save.
DANTE HERALDI: Malekin, I brought 20 more soldiers; the other citizens I saved are in the house you gave me, and Elena is with them.
MALEKIN: Good, then I will proceed with the defense.
MALEKIN raises his right hand into the air and releases an energy that makes the ground tremble slightly, generating a massive barrier around the city, covering it entirely.
MALEKIN: With this, the people will be much safer, so we can fight with total peace of mind, my friends.
RENJIT: Sounds great to me, hehehe.
DANTE HERALDI: I love that idea.
MALEKIN: Rex, advance with the soldiers and help them defeat that massive troop.
REX: Understood. (runs off).
MALEKIN: You two, come with me.
DANTE and RENJIT nod and head towards the fight, and on the other side, we see MAMMON giving orders.
MAMMON: Good, the cockroaches have moved; let's advance too, so everyone move out!
Finally, the armies clash, and a fierce fight begins. At the frontlines was REX, fighting alongside the army, and thanks to REX, MALEKIN's army is gaining ground. MAMMON sees this and, annoyed, orders GALAHAD to kill the dog. The knight obeys, rushing out at high speed, but just a few meters before reaching REX, black spears erupt from the ground, stopping the knight dead in his tracks, and RENJIT emerges from the shadows.
RENJIT: Hello, sir knight. You will be fighting me.
GALAHAD: Well, judging by the armor you wear, you must be a knight from the enemy faction. Very well, let's fight. My name is GALAHAD, a pleasure.
RENJIT: I'm surprised you're so polite.
GALAHAD: I am a knight, after all.
MAMMON sees that GALAHAD is being held back by RENJIT and gets angry.
MAMMON: Damn it, that long-haired guy looks familiar; I think he was in the last fight with the demigod. I'm not going to make the same mistake. You two (referring to the knights), go and kill him quickly!
SIRGUILLER: That is not honorable for a knight; this is a legitimate duel.
MAMMON: I don't care, you filthy human, obey if you don't want ACHAM to vanish you to another dimension and ensure you can never reincarnate again.
SIEGFRIED: Come on, Sirguiller, this monster doesn't understand the concept of chivalry.
SIRGUILLER: (glaring shapes at Mammon) Fine.
MAMMON: And you better win, because your souls depend on it.
The knights also dash forward to attack RENJIT; meanwhile, RENJIT and GALAHAD are rapidly clashing swords, and it is clear that RENJIT manages to strike GALAHAD numerous times, but he is completely unfazed; that black armor he wears protects him too much. From one moment to the next, GALAHAD slips, and RENJIT takes advantage of the situation to slash him with much more force, but at that exact instant, the other two knights appear. They show up right next to RENJIT, one on each side of him, intending to take his head off. The two of them swing a side-to-side strike like a pair of scissors to cut off his head, but in that instant, a red barrier appears around RENJIT's neck to protect him, causing the two knights to recoil, and DANTE drops from the sky, striking SIRGUILLER and forcing him back. MALEKIN lands in front of SIEGFRIED, bringing all the fighters together on the battlefield. A heavy atmosphere fills the air because of these 6 people; the soldiers stop for a moment upon seeing these individuals arrive, but on the battlefield there is no room for distractions, and the fight immediately resumes, leaving the 6 of them facing each other eye-to-eye.
SIRGUILLER: Well, at least now it's a fair fight; now we begin this battle.
GALAHAD: Joajajaja, I say the same.
SIEGFRIED: You're right, let's get this started.
MALEKIN: Good, I like your way of thinking, you bastards. Let's begin.
DANTE HERALDI: I'm anxious for this; I already want to test my new strength.
RENJIT: Alright, don't interfere, this big guy is mine.
MALEKIN grabs SIEGFRIED by the shoulder so fast that it gives him no time to react, taking him far away and throwing him to the ground. DANTE and SIRGUILLER separate far from RENJIT and GALAHAD, and thus the boys are split up to continue their battles separately, while MAMMON watches all of this in annoyance.
MAMMON: Damn those idiots, this is exactly what I feared. HAAAAAA (the three traitors are terrified). ACHAM, get a little closer to the battlefield and, if they fail, you know what to do.
ACHAM: Yes, master, whatever you command.
We head over to the fight between RENJIT and GALAHAD. The two are staring intensely at each other, analyzing one another. Speaking, RENJIT breaks the silence.
RENJIT: I hope this is an intense fight, sir knight.
GALAHAD: Likewise; that demon gave us an immense amount of power. I hope you don't die, because I am going to fight seriously from now on.
The fight begins: RENJIT rushes at GALAHAD with ferocity, striking him with his katana, and GALAHAD quickly blocks it. In an instant, RENJIT draws his other katana, forcing GALAHAD to back away to dodge. GALAHAD unleashes a wind slash; RENJIT barely manages to dodge that attack and is surprised that the knight can launch an aerial slash, proceeding to slip into the shadows. The knight remains on high alert, guarding himself against RENJIT.
Quickly, GALAHAD leaps incredibly high into the air and, from up above, begins to unleash slashes at great speed, cutting up all the terrain beneath him and kicking up a huge cloud of dust. He stops for a moment and drops to the ground, and no sooner does he land than he is received by RENJIT, who appears a bit wounded, striking GALAHAD in the back with his katana, sending him flying and crashing into a large boulder, but GALAHAD gets up quickly as if he hadn't suffered any damage at all.
RENJIT: (in his mind) Damn it, that armor is the problem, it seems immune to physical attacks. I'll have to get serious. (RENJIT sheathes his katanas).
GALAHAD: What happened, my enemy? Are you giving up? I didn't expect you to do that, but oh well, I don't think you'll manage to get past this magnificent armor.
RENJIT: Alright, I'm sorry, knight, I know duels with you guys are meant to be with swords, but I admit it, you are strong with that sword and with that armor, so you beat me in that sense, but this is war (he gets serious) and in war anything goes, so I'm sorry for what's about to happen now.
GALAHAD looks at him with disappointment, but gets into a fighting stance, as he senses that something is coming. Out of nowhere, the ground turns pitch black, and black spears begin to erupt from it, heading straight toward GALAHAD. Confused, the knight manages to block everything; he raises his head to look at RENJIT and sees black whips emerging all around him; it was his shadow, looking as if it had come to life, and the knight is a bit frightened by all of this. Next, tentacles shoot up from the ground and rapidly attack GALAHAD, who fails to block all the strikes, sending him flying into the air. While airborne, he realizes he has taken massive damage; the armor is completely intact, but he doesn't understand why he is receiving damage. GALAHAD crashes to the ground and stands up quickly, only to keep getting struck by the black spears, and with his sword, he rapidly manages to block a few hits, when out of nowhere, a spear's edges turn a purple color, piercing right through GALAHAD's armor. He is shocked and worried, and when he pulls the spear out, the armor has no hole in it, but he is bleeding and asks himself, "What happened?".
GALAHAD: How can this be possible? If I have this great armor, how did you defeat me?
RENJIT: You should have realized by now, my power is shadows.
GALAHAD: And what does that have to do with anything? Wait, don't tell me you... (he touches his armor)
RENJIT: That's right, inside of you, your armor has a shadow, doesn't it? (GALAHAD is stunned)
GALAHAD: It can't be... through the shadow inside the armor? What kind of bullshit is that? (spits blood)
RENJIT: That last spear is a power I developed to bypass objects that have a shadow inside them. I possess your shadow and quickly create a spear from the opposite side to wound you. That's all, but it drains a massive amount of energy to do that. That's why I told MALEKIN that, with this power, I'm still in my infancy. (The knight is amazed).
GALAHAD: Damn it, I was defeated by a half-baked power. I'm so furious right now. (agonizing) Finish this, knight of this world.
A barrage of black spears with purple edges erupts from the ground, piercing GALAHAD's body and finishing him off quickly. RENJIT lifts the body with his shadows and hurls it far away, straight toward MAMMON.
Now, we rewind a bit in time—20 minutes to be exact—since the other battle was happening at the same time as this one. We head over to DANTE and SIRGUILLER; the two of them are about to begin.
DANTE HERALDI: What the hell are you waiting for, knight? I can tell you're strong, strong enough that you might actually withstand my attacks.
SIRGUILLER: You seem confident. Fine, let's get started with this; I don't have time to talk to a petulant brat like you.
The fight begins. This time, DANTE wields a different sword; he is not using Kusanagi. He manages to repel the knight's attacks, but he feels something different in them: they push him back, causing him frustration, as he had trained so hard that he thought he could easily defeat the enemy in front of him.
The struggle continues. The knight remains calm as he attacks DANTE, who perceives his strikes as heavier and heavier each time. Within moments, DANTE begins to sweat: the knight's attacks become so intense that it feels as if a mountain were striking his sword. It was so much that DANTE's weapon ended up shattering, leaving him shocked; he immediately retreats from such an event.
DANTE HERALDI: Who the hell are you? And why do you possess such great power? It's not normal for someone like you to exist in ancient times. What is your name? And that bizarre sword, where did you get it?
SIRGUILLER: (smirking) You don't seem so confident now, hahahaha. I am called Sirguiller, I am known by that name. And you are?
DANTE HERALDI: Dante, Dante Heraldi. I'm more intrigued by that sword. Tell me, does that sword have a name?
SIRGUILLER: Of course, allow me to introduce the sword Excalibur, an ancient, millenary weapon.
DANTE is left completely shocked because that sword is a myth in his world, but here it is a reality, and he wonders how that could even be possible.
SIRGUILLER: I don't know this sword myself; that demon gave it to me, but it is a powerful sword and it seems to have a consciousness because it chose me as its wielder. I am very interested in it; they told me that if I win, I get to keep it, jajajaja. Well, let's finish this, Mr. Dante, I have a kingdom to save.
