Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: “Red society” Part 3

After a few days passed, the month ended and a new one began. Norax continued training and worked and sat alone in his office, while Celstia and the others trained outside

Norax picked up the communication stone. A soft glow appeared, and Madam Kyra's voice came through.

"I hope I'm not disturbing you, Sir Norax," she said politely.

"If you're calling, that means you've received the medicine. How's your condition?" Norax asked.

"My spots are still on my face… but what was in that medicine? My magic was unstable, when slowly the spots were growing all over my body But now… it's stable.Seriously, who created something like this? " she said.

"its Good to hear Then why are you calling? You didn't just use the communication stone for nothing,or chat with me " Norax said.

"Well… I was wondering about something i hear" she began, her tone sharp, "there are a lot of new rumors about you and the Red Society—even in our district. So… what are you planning? Spreading rumors like this?"

"It's nothing harmful to you, at least," Norax replied, smiling faintly. "Or I assume you just want to know my plane aren't you curious about this "

Kyra paused. "I don't deny I'm curious. But after hearing the rumors… i wonder if it is true that the Red Society tried to attack you? You know I'm also a powerhouse "

"Well… half truth, half lie, i spread them" Norax said. "You can call it that right now."

Madam Kyra was silent for a moment. "I don't know what you're doing, but it's better you don't do anything foolish. The royal council is already worried about the underworld suddenly… and some duke and nobles too. Don't forget—the underworld is still under the Empress' control even if it's a little bit right now."

" I know, and i don't want to hear anything about your friend " Norax said calmly.

he thought

"I really wrote a complicated novel, Norax thought, rubbing his temple."he says slowly

Madam Kyra, still on stone and hear some words "what novel are you writing? Are you serious right now " she asked, puzzled.

"Nothing," Norax muttered, "I'm just talking to myself. I will talk next time"

Before he even cut calls from the communication stone Suddenly, a sharp sound echoed through the office. Half the room became covered in ice. Norax froze.

He looked at the walls—and at the window. Outside, Celstia and Lie were shocked… and half-frozen.

Norax thought, his mind racing.

Norax arrived at the training ground. Half of the area had been turned into ice crystals and the snow temperature of half the area is low temperature and cold.

Lie and Celstia were there, and Celstia's eyes were wide with guilt, trembling like she might break into tears.

"Master… I'm… I'm sorry…" she said, her voice choking, sobbing quietly.

Lei stayed silent, just watching.

Norax surveyed the scene, rubbing his temple. he thought, scanning the damage.

He turned to Celstia, raising an eyebrow. "Wait… why are you crying? Celstia i didn't even say anything"

She sniffled, her small shoulders shaking. "I… I didn't mean to… I just… everything got destroyed… it's my fault…"

Norax pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm the one who told her to practice, and now she's worried she's in trouble…"

He crouched slightly to meet her gaze. "Celstia… you're fine and others are safe That is important for me It's just ice. We can fix it."

" It's training, and little accident okay not the end of the world."

She hiccuped, staring at him with wide, teary eyes. "B-but… what if someone gets hurt? Or… or you get angry? And it's not a little accident"

Norax let out a small sigh, but a corner of his mouth twitched into a smile. Cute… and panicking at the same time. "I'm not angry. Just… maybe try not to freeze everything next time?"

Celstia's tears wavered, then slowly she let out a shaky laugh. "I-I'll try, Master… I'll be careful…"

Lei finally spoke, a small smirk on her face. "She really is dramatic sometimes"

Norax shot her a look, then turned back to Celstia. "Come on. Let's fix this ice before it melts everything else. And don't cry—your crying is more dangerous than the ice."

Celstia nodded, sniffling, a mix of guilt and relief crossing her face.

Norax and Celstia were cleaning the office luckily no one hurt lei and others outside.

The training ground had basically become an ice-skating park and cover with snow thanks to Celstia's practice.

Elsie and the others were laughing and enjoying themselves while Norax worked inside.

Norax melted the ice residue with his black fire shadow magic, sweeping and mopping diligently.

"Master, I'll help! Please, stop, this is not even your work" Celstia said, moving forward with determination.

"No thanks," Norax replied firmly. "Sit on the chair and look at me.and tell me if you have seen any spot"

Celstia hesitated, then obediently sat.

Norax continued mopping, watching her. "So… what were you doing before all this?"

"I… I was trying a third-circle magic technique, against Lei" Celstia admitted, fidgeting slightly. "And I thought I could use a little blood magic, and… well… this happened."

Norax paused mid-mop, his mind racing. he thought

He continued, testing his words carefully. "Do you notice anything… unusual?"

Celstia tilted her head. "Unusual? Hmm… nothing really… except…"

"When I sucked your blood, I felt another magic. Alien… strange, unlike anything I've felt before. My energy also… grew after that," she said quietly. "But Master was fine, so I didn't think much about it and didn't say it's not harmful for me and you!!"

Norax nodded slowly, mopping more methodically." I see… well, maybe it's good for us. Or maybe… God really did bless me with this one"he says casual looks like a joke.

Celstia smiled softly. "Yeah… we're lucky."

She looked out the window at the others playing in the ice. "They all seem to be having fun," she said slowly.

Norax glanced at her, smirked, and said, "Go take care of Elsie. Before she does anything"

Celstia blinked. "Really?"

"Yeah. I'll join you after I finish cleaning," he said, returning to his work.

Celstia's smile grew brighter as she stood, ready to join the chaos outside.

Norax finally finished cleaning and leaned against the window.

Outside, Lie and the others from Neko Cafe, people are sent along with the guards and servants of blue Crescent, were enjoying themselves in the chaos.

Elsie had prepared a snowball, though it wasn't even fully ice—just the cold area—but little snow because temperature some snow formed she looked determined.

Norax thought, sitting at the table.

"@Applepie, are you here? Me " he muttered.

"Tch. No response."

"She only answered when a Death Flag appeared near me, or when the fate of the world changed, or maybe… when she threw a princess into his arms."

Norax glanced at Celstia outside.

He sighed. And go to the training ground

"Whatever."

in the middle of his thought he stepped in the training ground and Suddenly, a snowball hit his face.

Celstia and the others froze.

"Ahhh! Ugly man, don't give me that look! It's punishment for sending me to study!" Elsie laughed.

Norax narrowed his eyes.

"I see…"

Six shadows formed behind him. In a blur, he picked up snowballs and threw them at Elsie. Most of them missed and hit Lie and Celstia instead.

"Ahhh! Master!" Celstia squealed, dodging a hit.

And just like that, the snowball fight erupted. Even in summer, everyone laughed, ducked, and threw snowballs back.

Norax smiled faintly, watching the chaos.

he thought.

The snowball fight raged for a while, but soon Elsie had lost. She pouted, wiping snow off her hair.

The bright sun started melting the remaining snow. Water ran across the ground, and the snowball battlefield turned into a messy puddle.

Norax glanced over and noticed Celstia's clothes were soaked.

She caught his eyes on her and smirked.

"You pervert," she whispered, just loud enough for him to hear.

Norax froze, his face turning crimson.

Lie, meanwhile, was busy cleaning her tail and ears. She sniffed the wet snow and complained, "Nayyy, the snow is cold. I don't like getting wet and cold."

Celstia tilted her head, teasing, "Don't worry. You're not the only one who looks like a wet girl like me"

Norax cleared his throat, trying to focus, though his mind was anything but calm.

Elsie stomped through the puddle, shaking off water. "Ugly man! You're still staring at her! That's harrasment!"

"harrasment?!" Norax shot back, but his words fell flat as Celstia laughed softly, clearly enjoying the situation.

Outside, the sunlight reflected off the puddles, glittering like tiny stars. The battle was over, but the playful chaos lingered, with everyone laughing and teasing each other.

Norax rubbed his temple. "Why does managing these people always feel like a war… and why does she always tease me when I look? At her "

Celstia caught his gaze again and winked.

he thought.
