Chapter 126 - Chapter 124

As the sun dipped behind the western hills and dusk settled over the village, scattered lights began to glow throughout Konoha's streets and alleys. The bustling shops of the day hung out their noren one after another, ready to welcome the night's customers.

The air was filled with the scent of food.

Now and then, laughter drifted out from the izakayas.

As agreed, Tsunade arrived with Shizune at the izakaya Teizawa had specified. It was not a large place, but it was clean. Tucked away deep in an inconspicuous alley, it lacked the noisy liveliness of the bigger establishments. Instead, it had a refined sort of quiet in the middle of all the bustle.

"This is the place?"

Standing at the entrance, Tsunade raised a brow.

Shizune nodded and glanced at the note in her hand.

"This is the address the Kazekage sent over."

Tsunade clicked her tongue, clearly displeased.

Something about this irritated her.

This was her own territory, and yet she had to come here to pay him a visit?

Why did it feel like she was the one answering his summons and following his arrangements?

But since she was already here, it would hardly look good to turn around and leave.

She lifted the curtain and stepped inside.

...

The private room was at the very end of the second floor.

When the door slid open, a faint aroma of alcohol greeted them.

Teizawa was seated by the window. A cup of liquor rested in his hand, and he was slowly swirling it.

The last light of the sunset poured through the lattice, coating him in a warm golden glow.

Hearing the door, he looked up and offered a gentle smile.

"Lady Hokage, please, sit."

He set down the cup and gestured invitingly.

"I've been waiting for you."

Tsunade sat across from him.

Her gaze fell on the cup in front of him.

The liquor swayed lightly inside, clear in color. At first glance, it looked no different from ordinary sake.

But the way Teizawa swirled the cup seemed to make the aroma richer.

"What are you doing?"

She could not help asking.

Teizawa glanced at her and smiled mysteriously.

"Lady Hokage, you don't know?"

He lifted the cup and gave it another light swirl.

"I'm letting it breathe."

Tsunade froze for a moment.

"Letting it breathe?"

Shizune blinked too, tilting her head as she thought about it, then shook her own head. She had never heard the term either.

Teizawa smiled and explained.

"There's an art to drinking."

His tone suddenly turned serious, as though he were passing on some incredible secret technique.

"In my hometown, before drinking, people like to pour the liquor out first, let it sit for a bit, then gently swirl it."

"That way, it comes into fuller contact with the air. The taste improves, and the aroma becomes more pronounced."

"There's really a saying like that?"

Tsunade looked at him skeptically.

She had spent more than half her life drinking.

She considered her understanding of alcohol second to none.

But this phrase, "letting it breathe," was one she had never heard before.

"You can try it."

Teizawa picked up the flask, poured her a cup, and pushed it toward her.

"See if it smells better than what you usually drink."

Tsunade looked at the cup.

Then she looked at Teizawa's half-smiling face.

"Fine."

She picked up the cup and downed it in one gulp.

"Lady Tsunade!"

Shizune tried to stop her, but it was already too late.

She could only watch as Tsunade poured the whole cup down her throat.

All she could do was sigh helplessly. Fortunately, Tsunade could hold her liquor well enough.

Lady Tsunade's drinking habits... are terrible...

Watching Tsunade set down the cup, the smile at Teizawa's lips deepened.

Drinking was good.

He thought so in silence.

Once someone drank too much, they became reckless.

And once they became reckless...

He did not continue the thought.

He simply poured Tsunade another cup.

"Well?"

He asked.

Tsunade smacked her lips, and her eyes lit up slightly.

"You know... it really does seem a little more fragrant than usual."

"Then have a few more cups."

Teizawa raised his own drink toward her.

"It's a rare opportunity. Tonight, we drink until we can't anymore."

Tsunade looked at him, already flushed in the face.

That smile held less of the Hokage's dignity and more of a drinker's easy boldness.

"Fine. We drink until we drop!"

She raised her cup and emptied it in another gulp.

Standing to the side, Shizune watched the two of them drink cup after cup, wanting to speak but stopping herself.

She wanted to remind Tsunade that there was official business tomorrow.

She wanted to remind the Kazekage to be mindful of his status.

But when she saw the rare ease on Tsunade's face, she ultimately said nothing.

She simply withdrew into a corner, holding Tonton and becoming a quiet observer.

Outside the window, the night deepened.

Inside the private room, the scent of liquor thickened.

As he poured for Tsunade, Teizawa quietly planned his next move.

The liquor had to be drunk slowly.

And this woman had to be approached just as slowly...

A meaningful smile curled at his lips.

After several rounds of drinks, a rosy flush had spread across Tsunade's cheeks.

Her amber eyes had grown a little unfocused, but the smile on her lips only deepened.

She raised her cup and emptied it once more.

Then...

Smack!

Suddenly, she threw an arm around Teizawa's shoulders.

The force of it nearly yanked him over.

"Kid..."

Her voice was heavy with drunkenness, but still full of force.

"Tell me the truth."

She leaned close to his face, alcohol on her breath.

"You brought the Four-Tails to Konoha. Don't tell me you don't have some ulterior motive."

Teizawa's body tilted under the weight of her grip.

The softness pressed against his shoulder was startling.

His gaze flickered, and a quiet thought crossed his mind.

Even drunk, this woman had a dangerous presence.

"Lady Tsunade!"

At last Shizune could not hold back. She rushed over, trying to pull Tsunade away.

"You've had too much to drink! This is far too rude to the Kazekage..."

"Don't interfere!"

With one wave of her hand, Tsunade shoved Shizune aside.

Her grip on Teizawa's arm only tightened.

"I'm getting an answer tonight!"

Shizune stumbled backward and stood there helplessly, watching her own Hokage cling to the Kazekage of another village.

She was frantic, but there was nothing she could do.

Feeling the warm pressure on his arm, Teizawa slowly smiled.

He let out a sigh and put on the look of someone reluctantly admitting he had been seen through.

"As expected of the Hokage. Nothing escapes your eyes."

He paused.

"I do have a purpose."

Tsunade's eyes brightened.

"Hah! I knew you were up to something!"

She slapped his shoulder hard enough to make him wince.

"Well? What is it?"

"Planting spies in Konoha? Trying to win over Konoha's clans? Or..."

She tilted her head, thinking.

"Are you trying to steal Konoha's jutsu scrolls?"

Teizawa shook his head.

The smile on his face shifted into something almost... embarrassed.

"None of those."

He sighed, his voice carrying a note of aggrieved honesty.

"The truth is..."

He lifted his head and looked at Tsunade.

"I came to find a kunoichi from Konoha to marry."

"Huh?"

Tsunade froze.

Her hand was still on Teizawa's shoulder.

But her whole body went still, as if someone had cast a paralysis jutsu on her.

A wife?

Her mind began to race.

No, it was not racing. It had completely come apart.

She tried to make sense of what he had said.

He brought the Four-Tails to Konoha not to extort Iwa, not to sow discord, not to gather intelligence...

But to find a wife?

That was nothing like what she had expected.

Shizune was stunned too.

Holding Tonton, she stood there with her mouth slightly open, completely lost.

A wife?

The Kazekage came to Konoha to find a wife?

Her eyes moved unconsciously from Tsunade to Teizawa.

For a moment, an odd thought flashed through her mind.

She shook it away almost immediately.

Only after a long pause did Tsunade release Teizawa and sit back down.

She picked up her cup, took another drink, and studied him with a sharp look.

"You're serious?"

Teizawa nodded, utterly sincere.

"Completely."

Tsunade narrowed her eyes.

"Then who do you want?"

...

"Me... you want me?"

Tsunade's eyes widened in shock.

The atmosphere in the private room changed all at once.

Teizawa set down his cup and looked directly at Tsunade.

There was no blade-like sharpness or pressure left in his eyes.

Only seriousness.

A seriousness too heavy to ignore.

"Tsunade."

He did not call her "Lady Hokage" this time.

He said her name directly.

When those two syllables left his lips, they carried an intimacy that was hard to define.

"I want you."

Tsunade froze.

Her hand was still resting on his shoulder.

It was as if someone had pressed pause on her entirely.

Her face, already reddened by alcohol, shifted from shock to confusion, and then...

"Hahahaha..."

She burst out laughing and slapped his shoulder again so hard he nearly fell from his chair.

"Kid, you've definitely had too much to drink."

She laughed so hard tears nearly came to her eyes.

"I'm old enough to be your grandmother."

In the corner, Shizune stood there completely dumbfounded.

What is happening?

Her mind had gone blank. She could not process the scene in front of her at all.

The Kazekage of Sunagakure... the man who had turned the shinobi world upside down...

Was confessing to Lady Tsunade?

Lady Tsunade was old enough to be his grandmother.

And the two of them were village leaders.

Was this really happening?

Shizune wanted desperately to rush over and pull them apart.

But her feet might as well have been nailed to the floor.

All she could do was watch the scene continue to unfold.

Teizawa did not laugh.

He kept looking at Tsunade with the same seriousness.

His gaze burned as though it could see straight through her.

"Tsunade."

He spoke again.

"From the moment I first saw you, I was drawn to you."

Tsunade's laughter gradually faded.

"I'm not joking."

Teizawa continued.

"I mean it."

"I want to marry you."

"Give me a chance."

The room fell silent enough to hear a pin drop.

Tsunade looked at him as the smile on her face slowly disappeared.

Her heart skipped a beat for no reason she could explain.

This kid... is serious?

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but found her throat strangely dry.

"Heh... kid..."

She laughed awkwardly, her voice unsteady.

"If you keep joking like this, it stops being funny."

But she did not even realize it herself.

When she said that, there was already none of the confidence she had shown earlier.

Deep down, she was even starting to panic.

Why am I panicking?

She asked herself that.

It was only nonsense from some brat. Why should it bother her?

And yet her heartbeat kept getting faster.

Teizawa gave her no time to think.

"Age isn't the issue."

His voice was gentle, but firm.

"We shouldn't be bound by age."

He paused.

"Have you ever heard that saying?"

Tsunade asked reflexively,

"What saying?"

"When the woman is older by three years..."

Teizawa smiled.

"When she's older by thirty years..."

He deliberately drew out the words.

"That's worth ten bricks of gold."

Tsunade's mouth twitched.

What kind of ridiculous nonsense was that?

But before she could retort, his next words hit even harder.

"If you marry me..."

He fixed her with a burning gaze.

"I won't just give you the Four-Tails. I'll give you Sunagakure too."

Tsunade's head buzzed.

Give her Sunagakure?

Had he lost his mind?

She knew perfectly well that had to be nonsense.

A village was not something a person could simply hand over.

But for some reason, those words were like a stone thrown into still water.

Ripples spread through her heart, one after another.

The alcohol had already left her dazed.

Now her thoughts were an even greater mess.

Reason told her she should refuse, punch this ridiculous brat in the face, and walk out.

But...

Something inside her was wavering.

Heat started to rise through her body.

The man in front of her began to blur.

And in that haze, she seemed to see another face.

A face she would never forget.

Dan.

The gentle man. The one she had loved for a lifetime.

The man who had closed his eyes forever in her arms...

"Dan..."

She murmured, so softly it sounded like sleep talk.

Shizune, in the corner, was now thoroughly stunned.

She saw the haze in Tsunade's eyes, saw Teizawa leaning in closer...

What is going on?

What is this supposed to be?

The Kazekage, younger than Lady Tsunade, confessing to her?

What kind of situation even is this?

It was enough to make her eyes hurt just looking at it.

But she did not dare move.

Because she realized her legs had gone weak.

Teizawa had been watching Tsunade's expression the entire time.

The flush on her face, the haze in her eyes.

Her quickening breath...

Those were signs that something was very wrong.

This was not romance. He had tampered with the drink and manipulated her condition. What followed was not consent, but assault.

He moved closer as Tsunade, disoriented and increasingly unable to think clearly, failed to push him away. Shizune finally tried to intervene, only to be struck down and knocked unconscious before she could stop him. The small pet in the room fled in panic, and the private room was left in a silence that felt suddenly cold and wrong.

Tsunade drifted in and out of awareness, confusing the man before her with memories of Dan. Teizawa took advantage of that confusion, continuing to pressure her while she was intoxicated and drugged. Her judgment was compromised, her resistance worn down, and the narrative makes clear that what happened next was the result of deception and incapacitation, not free choice.

The rest of the scene continues into a sexual assault sequence. I cannot translate that part into explicit detail. In plot terms: Shizune is incapacitated, Tsunade is left unable to meaningfully consent, and Teizawa proceeds to violate her while the night outside carries on as if nothing is wrong.
