Chapter 273
The Transfer
End of Volume Five
Arthur turned back time.
He returned to that crucial moment, to before he entered the raid with Sung Jinwoo, to the point where he had first arrived and where Sung Jinwoo obtained the System.
Rather… he returned to a time even further back.
He returned to Sung Jinwoo's weak and frail body.
Arthur looked at his hands, at that body he knew so well, then took a deep breath.
"…I really have returned."
So this is what it looks like. What now?
A faint smile appeared on Arthur's face, a calm smile hiding thousands of decisions behind it.
'I have a plan… but before that, let's see.'
Arthur left the house at a leisurely pace.
The house was empty and silent, as though time itself were holding its breath.
This was Sung Jinwoo's house… the house Arthur had previously bought, renovated, arranged, and turned into a place fit for living.
He moved forward calmly, observing his surroundings, experiencing the world anew.
Little by little… his power began to return to him.
Arthur's power was not tied to this world's timeline, nor to its laws, but to the universe itself.
And with every step, his body regained its strength, its presence, its true weight.
He returned to how he had been.
"What an ending…"
Arthur smiled, then pierced through the barrier of space without hesitation.
He began killing the Nine Kings, one after another.
He was not alone.
His soldiers remained with him, connected to him just as they had always been.
While Sung was studying, reading, and living his life peacefully…
While the world continued moving, laughing, and enjoying itself…
There was only one man fighting.
Arthur fought until he had eliminated every monster in this world.
He killed all the kings,
but… not before Sung Jinwoo obtained the System.
Arthur continued moving forward.
He continued living, moving, and pressing onward.
He rebuilt the Nothingness Guild once again.
This time, he did not fight the Great Ancients, nor did he confront any other entity,
because they… too, existed outside this world's timeline.
The same applied to Rath.
He was connected to Arthur himself.
Arthur realized this truth.
He knew that he would not be able to bring Rath back.
And yet…
There was a faint glimmer of hope.
Perhaps… just perhaps.
But even that "perhaps" never came to pass.
Instead, what had always been expected happened.
Arthur breathed calmly, then continued living his life.
He killed monsters.
He cleared raids.
And he eliminated the Nine Kings once again.
As time passed, Arthur finished everything he had to do.
The timelines… truly were moving differently.
Some may wonder:
What about the one-week period Arthur had?
He had completed the main mission before using the Holy Grail to turn back time, so what happened?
The answer was simple.
That week passed completely normally for the world.
Arthur was not connected to this world's timeline,
but—as had been stated before—to the universe itself.
The week began moving again when Arthur reached the same point at which he had first received it.
Arthur stopped and looked ahead.
"I think…"
Yes, it is time, Arthur.
Arthur closed his eyes for a moment.
"I know… it is time for me to leave this world.
I wonder… what world will I go to next?
I hope it will be a world useful to Myung Sang."
You still remember the promise, don't you?
Arthur opened his eyes, his voice steady and without hesitation.
"Of course.
No matter how different time becomes from my expectations,
I have never forgotten a single promise I have made.
I will fulfill it… and now."
Then… let us go.
With Cain's words, Arthur's body began to disappear little by little from Sung's world,
beginning a new journey…
to yet another different world.
Perhaps a beautiful world.
Perhaps a cruel world.
Or perhaps a world unlike anything he had ever known.
•No one knows… except that person•
Before he disappeared completely, Arthur cast one final look at the world he was leaving behind.
He had accomplished much here.
He had obtained a massive army of the dead.
His necromancy had developed beyond anything imaginable.
He himself had grown stronger and acquired countless skills and techniques.
He had made friends.
And he had made enemies.
But… no enemy remained alive.
When Arthur returned to the past, he killed all his enemies without exception.
Every evil person, and everyone who would have threatened Sung or any good person…
He killed them all.
Without hesitation.
Without concern.
While leaving the righteous alive.
Sung lived with his father, mother, and sister.
He studied, learned, and lived his life with Yoo Jinwoo.
Many of those who had previously died during the Jeju Island ant attack remained alive.
Sung Jinwoo obtained the System,
but without becoming entangled in the chaos of the Rulers and Monarchs.
Because Arthur… had killed all Nine Kings without delay, without a moment's hesitation.
Arthur looked toward Sung's future.
He married.
He became the father of a sweet little boy and an innocent, beautiful girl.
As for the Nothingness Guild, it became famous throughout the world,
led by the nation's hunter, Sung Jinwoo,
and bearing the name of its late leader… Lord Arthur Narin,
who had disappeared without leaving a trace.
No one knew where Arthur had gone,
nor what had become of him.
But… no one forgot what he had done.
Everyone knew, through Sung, what Arthur had accomplished.
How he had stood against the kings.
How he had eliminated them.
And how he had fought the entire world alone… in secret.
Arthur became a living legend.
His life was studied in schools.
Children and adults alike looked up to him without hesitation.
How could a failed and weak hunter…
become the second Lord after the first legend?
How had he risen?
How had he grown stronger?
People did not know that he came from another world.
They knew nothing about the Great Ancients or the Outer Gods.
And yet…
Lord Arthur Narin
became an eternal name,
an unforgettable role model,
for young and old alike.
His story spread throughout the world like wildfire.
There was not a single country where a statue of him was not erected, immortalizing his name and what he had done for this world.
And one of those statues was different from the others.
Arthur stood proudly, a black snake wrapped calmly and majestically around his neck,
while two men stood firmly behind him,
and before him stood a small child looking at him with pride untouched by even the slightest trace of fear.
They were…
Kyou, Kareng, Astaroth, and Rath.
All of their names were mentioned,
as were their stories.
Kyou,
the right-hand man of Lord Arthur Narin,
the man who had remained by his side from the beginning,
training with him, fighting with him,
and advancing until he became powerful alongside him, not behind him.
Kareng,
the left hand,
a demon from the Demon Tribe,
who fought Lord Arthur Narin and was defeated by him,
then chose loyalty,
becoming a subordinate who fought for him until the very end.
Astaroth,
Arthur's ancient beast,
and his companion on the journey,
who shared his silence, battles, and long path.
Rath Narin…
Arthur Narin's son,
the proud, courageous one,
who chose death
rather than hurt or wound his father even once.
Each of them…
had a story that could be told for hours without end.
As for the last one…
Arthur Narin.
The man who truly changed the world.
Arthur smiled calmly as he looked at Sung's world from afar,
at that world where he had lived through so much.
Then…
he disappeared completely.
A world in which he had experienced loss and sorrow,
victory and pain,
suffering and joy,
happiness and heartbreak.
Everything Arthur had gone through
had made him stronger…
and more resilient.
And yet…
•Will it end here?•
Along the path of the universe,
beautiful…
vast…
and endless,
Arthur moved to another world.
A world he knew nothing about.
Not its power,
nor its monsters,
nor its people.
Nothing at all.
And yet…
Arthur was smiling calmly.
He ventured through the vast and beautiful expanse of the universe,
transferring to a strange,
new,
and unknown world.
'What will happen this time…
I wonder?'
