Chapter 297 - Chapter 297: Gorr's Death

Karl paid no attention to the attack empowered by the All-Black Necrosword.

With his current level of strength, Gorr simply could not threaten him.

Karl's Doomsday-based evolution had never stopped. His body had adapted and strengthened through countless battles, reaching a level far beyond ordinary cosmic beings. Combined with the protection of the Infinity Stones and his Single-Universe-level energy reserves, even a pseudo–Single-Universe-level opponent had virtually no chance of breaking through his defenses.

Boom!

The All-Black slashed across Karl's shoulder.

At nearly the same moment, Karl's fist struck Gorr's chest.

The result was immediate.

Gorr's expression froze in disbelief.

The Necrosword had failed to leave even the slightest mark on Karl.

Before he could process what had happened, Karl's punch landed.

Crack!

Part of the symbiote armor shattered instantly.

Gorr was blasted across the planet at terrifying speed, crashing into the scorched wasteland below.

A gigantic crater erupted from the impact.

Fragments of living darkness scattered in every direction before rapidly returning to their host, attempting to repair the damage.

Karl's attack had nearly torn through Gorr's chest.

Watching the symbiotes desperately reconstruct his body, Karl merely smiled.

This was clearly the comic incarnation of Gorr.

Had it been the weaker cinematic version, that punch would likely have ended the battle immediately.

The comic version possessed far greater endurance and had drawn strength from countless slain gods through the All-Black.

Unfortunately for him, none of that mattered against Karl.

The gap between them was simply too large.

Boom!

Before Gorr could fully recover, a massive beam of golden energy descended from the sky and slammed him back into the crater.

Moments later, a scarlet phoenix-shaped blast followed.

The attack itself caused little damage.

Yet Gorr quickly realized something was wrong.

The living darkness covering his body began to break apart.

Molecule by molecule.

Cell by cell.

The symbiote structure was being unraveled.

His armor disintegrated.

The reconstructed limbs vanished.

Even the remnants of the All-Black itself began collapsing.

Gorr tried to resist.

He tried to speak.

But before any final words could escape his lips, his body dissolved completely.

The God Butcher died on the world where his legend had begun.

The All-Black Necrosword vanished alongside him.

Nothing remained.

...

Karl and the others turned and prepared to leave.

Before departing, Karl glanced at the three suns orbiting the planet.

He silently waved a hand.

Two of the stars disappeared into the Shadow World.

There, the Infinite Concept Energy Formula would convert their stellar output into usable energy reserves.

The remaining star was left behind, ensuring the planet's inhabitants would continue to survive.

...

Soon afterward, Karl, Yan, Hela, and Dark Phoenix returned to the Skyblade VII.

The warship entered a wormhole corridor and resumed its voyage through the cosmos.

Back aboard the ship, Karl returned to his private quarters with the three women.

Yan glanced around the room and noticed La's unusually elaborate attire.

A faint smile appeared on her face.

"You're certainly enjoying yourself. What next? Do you plan to have someone wearing the ceremonial robes of the Angelic Civilization serving you as well?" Yan asked teasingly.

Black Phoenix and Hela exchanged amused looks.

Karl immediately seized the opportunity.

"That sounds like an excellent idea."

Yan rolled her eyes.

"Keep dreaming."

She leaned comfortably against him.

Karl simply laughed.

The atmosphere in the room quickly became relaxed once again.

Recent events had left everyone carrying different emotions, but for the moment, they enjoyed a rare period of peace.

...

As the months passed, Karl became increasingly puzzled.

The Celestials still had not appeared.

Considering that he had personally destroyed multiple Celestials, a response should have come long ago.

Yet the universe remained strangely quiet.

The silence itself felt abnormal.

Karl never lowered his guard.

If anything, the absence of action made him even more cautious.

...

One day, Ganata suddenly appeared before Karl.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"I need to go out for a while."

Before Karl could ask for details, she had already vanished.

Seeing her enthusiasm, he ultimately chose not to interfere.

After all, Ganata possessed Single-Universe-level strength and was the daughter of Galactus.

There were very few beings in the universe capable of threatening her.

...

Not long afterward, Karl discovered the reason.

Far beyond the warship, a colossal sphere of blue cosmic energy floated through space.

It was consuming a planet.

The sight was immediately familiar.

It was one of Galactus's manifestations.

An avatar of the Devourer of Worlds.

Karl watched from a distance.

Ganata had already arrived beside the massive cosmic entity.

Father and daughter appeared to be speaking.

Although Karl could not hear the conversation, he clearly saw Galactus hand Ganata a small blue sphere.
