"Damn it, Karl," Tony complained as he stepped out of one of the cars.
"I've been running errands for you every day. I haven't even had time to study my armor."
He waved to his bodyguards, signaling them to open the cargo doors of the trucks before walking over to Karl.
Karl glanced at him calmly.
"Didn't I already give you some Adamantium before?"
He reached into his system space and pulled out a data chip.
"This is the complete Adamantium formula."
"Take it and produce it yourself."
"Consider it a reward."
Tony's eyes lit up instantly.
"Ha! I knew it!"
He grabbed the formula eagerly and began examining it.
"Steve Rogers' shield was forged from Vibranium and Adamantium, right?"
"That thing even held its ground against Thor for a while."
Tony grinned.
"I definitely need an Adamantium armor now."
Karl simply shrugged.
"Suit yourself."
He then turned toward Yelena.
"Yelena, have the people outside attach their identification tags to their items and bring them in."
Yelena nodded and walked outside to relay the instructions.
Karl looked at the massive convoy of trucks in front of him.
With a wave of his hand, a surge of telekinetic force lifted countless antiques out of the cargo containers.
The artifacts floated in the air around him.
Karl casually picked one up and began examining it.
Although the overall quality of this batch was higher than the previous one, most of the items were still damaged relics.
Their divine energy had already dissipated.
Many of them weren't even weapons.
They were simply everyday items from ancient civilizations:
ceremonial cups
golden bowls
decorative containers
Most of them had once belonged to gods or divine figures, but now they were little more than historical antiques.
The Black Phoenix stood quietly beside Karl, watching him work.
Yan, on the other hand, still refused to give up.
She picked up several items and scanned them using her Angel Eye, but just like before, the Angel Eye detected nothing unusual.
After some time passed, two books suddenly caught Karl's attention.
One was black.
The other was golden.
He pulled them toward himself using telekinesis.
[Dark Bible]
According to legend, the spells within were written by Anubis, the Egyptian god of death.
Because the magic was considered too dangerous, the scripture was sealed away by ancient priests.
To use its spells safely, the caster must become a follower of Anubis and receive the blessing of his divine power.
Otherwise, the spells will trigger a violent backlash, draining the caster's life force until death.
[Sun Bible]
An ancient scripture said to contain spells once used by the sun god Apollo.
It was sealed together with the Dark Bible by Anubis.
Casting its magic requires powerful solar energy.
Without sufficient solar power, the spell will burn the user's soul.
Karl looked over at Tony.
"Tony."
"Record this."
"These two Bibles together are worth two hundred years of lifespan."
He paused before adding,
"Some of the spells inside could be useful, but both scriptures carry dangerous side effects."
"So they're not particularly valuable to us."
After speaking, Karl handed the two books to Yan.
He had noticed earlier that she had been staring at them with curiosity.
Even if he didn't give them to her now, she would definitely ask for them later.
Yan looked at Karl in surprise before accepting the books.
Her Angel Eye activated immediately as she began scanning them in detail.
The appraisal continued.
Among the relics was even a stone pillar supposedly taken from a palace in Greek mythology.
Karl could only shake his head in disbelief.
Some people had clearly brought anything remotely ancient.
There were relatively few artifacts originating from the Eastern civilizations.
Until Karl suddenly noticed something unusual.
A palm-sized sword floated in front of him.
[Protective Flying Sword]
A defensive flying sword once owned by an ancient female cultivator from the Eastern world.
The weapon was damaged during the great war between the Celestials.
After losing its master, the sword sealed itself.
Due to insufficient energy, its internal formations can no longer repair the damage.
It can be restored using the power of rules.
Once repaired, it will return to its peak state.
However, because the previous owner refined it for many years, the sword now possesses a degree of sentience and will choose its own master.
Karl raised his eyebrows slightly.
"A flying sword…"
That was definitely interesting.
And the fact that it could choose its own master made it even more unusual.
However, Karl still planned to keep it for himself.
Even if it was repaired, its combat power probably wouldn't be extraordinary.
Besides—
Karl could always use Reality Overwrite later to modify it if necessary.
Previously, he had considered restoring other damaged artifacts with Reality Rewrite, but he hadn't encountered any weapon powerful enough to justify the energy cost.
Most relics were simply too insignificant.
Karl held up the small sword.
"Tony, record this one too."
"This Eastern flying sword is worth two hundred years of lifespan."
Tony leaned closer, staring curiously at the sword.
"Flying sword?"
"You mean the kind from Eastern fantasy novels?"
"I can look it up later."
He smirked.
"But the fact that something this small could be exchanged for two hundred years of lifespan is unbelievable."
Karl rolled his eyes.
"It's called a Protective Flying Sword."
"It can automatically defend its master."
"And even after restoration, it will still possess its own will."
"It will choose its own master."
"Do you really think it's that simple?"
After speaking, Karl stored the sword inside his system space.
Unfortunately, the rest of the items failed to impress him.
There were many ancient relics, but none of them possessed meaningful power.
Even the few weapons present were merely ordinary enchanted tools rather than divine artifacts.
Karl had no intention of accepting them.
Soon afterward, Yelena returned.
She began bringing in the relics that various adventurer teams had brought with them.
Compared to the items Tony had delivered, the quality of these artifacts was significantly worse.
Most were nothing more than ordinary antiques.
Until Karl suddenly noticed a golden chalice.
[Holy Grail]
Legend says that drinking from the Grail grants eternal youth and immortality.
However, once someone begins drinking from it, they must continue doing so periodically.
If the user stops drinking from the Grail, they will rapidly age.
Eventually, even their soul will be absorbed by the Grail.
The Grail also contains a hidden dimensional space.
Within that space lies a treasure map pointing to the legendary Apple of Eden.
The map can be unlocked using the power of rules.
Karl's interest was immediately piqued.
The Grail itself was already unusual.
But what truly caught his attention was the final line.
The Apple of Eden.
Karl suddenly remembered something from ancient myths.
However, he wasn't completely certain yet.
He turned to Yelena.
"Yelena."
He removed the identification tag attached to the chalice and handed it to her.
"Find the owner of this golden chalice."
"Bring them inside."
Yelena nodded and immediately walked out of the manor.
