Forks.
Immortal mansion.
A few minutes before Silas flung Viktor out the door.
He had just arrived home and was walking towards the kitchen.
Silas grabbed a soda and walked to the living room.
"Viktor, are you here?" He said with a slightly raised voice.
Soon steps could be heard from the second floor.
"Yes, master, what can I do for you?"
Silas nodded and took a sip.
"Tomorrow my girlfriend is coming over, so I need you to leave."
Quiet filled the room.
Viktor was confused.
Girlfriend? Alice? Or is it that other one… the human?
Viktor had carefully investigated who his master was around. You never know.
But are they already together?
"Master… do you mean Ms. Alice?"
Silas nodded.
"Yeah, who else?"
Viktor shook his head.
"No, I just wanted to make sure."
Silas took another sip.
"So you understand I need you to leave, right?"
Viktor snapped out of his thoughts.
"Master? Leave… why?"
Silas swirled the can in his hand.
"'Cause I can't have you home and then bring home a girl… can I?"
Viktor wanted to refuse… but that seemed to make sense.
"But master… I can stay in my room. I promise not to eavesdrop."
Silas stopped the swirling of the can and looked up in annoyance.
"I wasn't asking for your opinion, was I?"
Viktor didn't give up.
"Master… I can be of help…" But before he could continue Silas stopped him.
"Shut up! Get out and come back in two days."
Viktor knelt down.
"Master! Please don't get rid of me!"
Hearing Viktor say this Silas frowned.
"I told you to come back in two days. How is that getting rid of you?"
Silas raised his hand and activated telekinesis and floated Viktor into the air.
"NOO!"
"Please have mercy, master!"
Silas threw him out the door and closed it. He completely ignored Viktor's pleas.
He walked back to the living room and downed the rest of the soda.
"Time to go to bed."
He walked upstairs and did his nightly routine, then crashed onto the bed.
Outside the house Viktor was sitting on the lawn and staring at the door in hope.
Will the master have a change of heart?
But a few hours later, and no one opened the door, Viktor finally accepted his fate.
Sigh.
I guess I will have to come back in two days. I had to hunt for food anyway.
But…
Sniff sniff, the master is really ruthless.
With that he walked off.
The night passed smoothly and Silas got a good night's sleep.
Waking up in the morning he took a shower and then picked out some good clothes.
He then went down stairs and made a sandwich.
Like usual he sat down at the kitchen island and started to eat.
After he was done he put the plate in the sink and walked out, not forgetting to grab his keys and phone on the way out.
He arrived at his car and got in. He started the car and drove off.
A few minutes later he arrived outside the Cullen house.
He turned the car around and stood parked, waiting for Alice to come out.
A minute or so later she ran out with a big happy smile on her face.
She walked around the car to the passenger side and got in.
"Hello, Silas." Before she could put on the seat belt she leaned over and kissed him.
"Hello." Silas was a little surprised by the kiss.
Alice saw his expression and let out a chuckle.
Hearing her laughing at him Silas smiled wryly and put the car into gear.
Driving down the country road Silas lowered the music volume and asked.
"Are you ready to visit my house later?"
Alice smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how you live."
Silas smiled.
"Don't expect too much…"
Alice raised an eyebrow.
"What? Are there no dragon heads on the walls?"
"Is that what you're saying?"
Hearing Alice's teasing tone Silas laughed.
"That might be what I'm saying."
They both laughed in unison.
With that they arrived in front of Kate's house.
Silas honked once, but he got no response.
Kate was usually so fast to get outside.
He picked up his phone and called her.
Ring~
"Hello?"
"Kate, where are you? We're outside."
Kate was quiet for a second.
"Sorry I forgot to text you… I'm sick."
Silas and Alice looked at each other.
"Are you okay?" Alice asked.
"Yeah… I just need some sleep… and ibuprofen." Kate said.
Silas nodded.
"Alright… but do you want us to get you anything after school?"
Kate's face on the other side was scrunched up in pain. Her head was pulsating in pain.
"No… I'm fine, I just wanna sleep."
"Alright, we won't bother you more then." Silas responded and hung up.
The car was silent.
Then Alice asked.
"Is being sick really that bad?"
Silas glanced over.
"What? Have you never been sick?"
Alice shook her head.
"I'm a vampire, I don't get sick."
Hearing that Silas rolled his eyes.
"I know. But when you were human?"
Hearing that Alice frowned and looked out the window into the distance.
"I can't remember much of anything from my human life." She said.
Hearing that Silas frowned.
He reached out and grabbed her hand.
Alice feeling his warm hand against hers she couldn't help but smile.
"But who cares? I got you." She said.
Silas smiled and nodded.
"Exactly."
Then he pulled her close and interlocked lips.
Alice, feeling that Silas was trying to comfort her, felt a warm feeling in her heart.
"We should get to school or we'll be late." Alice said and rubbed her thumb on Silas's hand.
Silas nodded.
"Yeah."
He put the car in gear and gently drove off.
The rest of the car ride before school was filled with quiet music and an ambiguous atmosphere.
Alice didn't let go of his hand throughout the entire car ride.
When they finally arrived at school Alice reluctantly let go of his hand and got out of the car.
Then they walked inside.
As they walked, Silas thought of something.
"Don't we have art together later?"
Alice smiled and nodded.
"We do."
