Arriving back at the house Silas walked over to the door and entered.
As he was walking towards his room he felt like he had forgotten something.
My phone! Shit! I was supposed to charge it.
Silas rushed to his room and found the charger by his bedside table.
He plugged in his phone and put it down. Sigh. Why do I even care?
Silas was confused, just then a knock appeared on the door.
"Master, are you alright?"
Silas stood up and walked over to the door. He opened it and saw Viktor standing there looking at him strangely.
Silas raised an eyebrow.
"What's up?"
Viktor shook his head.
"Nothing."
Silas walked out past him and headed down stairs. As he reached the kitchen he opened the fridge and took out a drink.
He then turned to look at Viktor standing on the other side of the kitchen island.
"There's definitely something wrong."
Viktor hesitated then said.
"Master, you said we would also get to fight…"
Silas raised his eyebrows then let out a chuckle.
"Haha, was that why? Then next time I will let you take care of the vampires, I know for a fact in the next few weeks, there will be some vampires who will come looking for trouble, they will be yours."
Silas smiled to himself. What a vampire.
Viktor smiled then he furrowed his brows.
"Someone dares to come and cause trouble for the master?"
Silas shook his head.
"They aren't here for me specifically. I just kinda know they will mess with me."
Viktor looked confused.
"Call it intuition."
Viktor nodded .
Silas then took his cold drink upstairs. He now had to deal with his lateness.
As he walked inside his room he walked over to the night stand and picked up his phone.
It now had 5 procent, he looked at the missed notifications.
"3 Missed calls from xxx xxx xx xx."
Sigh.
Silas opened his phone and found what could only be Alice's number and clicked "Dial"
Ring~ rin…
…
Forks.
Cullen house.
Alice's room.
Alice was rolling on her bed. She didn't know why she was so bothered, he just hadn't picked up. Big deal?
But the more she thought about it, the more frustrated… and worried she became.
Was Silas mad? Had something happened.
She knew these things were unlikely. She had met him at school and everything was fine…good even.
But she just couldn't stop thinking the worst. She was… anxious.
She had tried to distract herself by painting, reading and even watching a clothing magazine… but she just couldn't focus, her thoughts would always drift away.
What was this…?
Just then she felt her hand vibrate. Before the ringtone even rang out she knew it was her phone.
She raised her phone and saw that it was Silas.
A bright smile grew on her face, she reached for the "Answer" button.
…
Forks.
Immortal Mansion.
In the middle of the second ring the other side picked up.
"Silas?" Alice's voice rang out from the phone.
"Yeah."
"You were supposed to pick up my calls after school… It's now 12am."
Silas looked at the digital watch on his night stand, it was indeed.
"Yeah, sorry I called so late, I started to charge my phone when I got home… then I fell asleep."
"Really?"
"Really."
Alice on the other side of the phone breathed a sigh of relief… but she was also in disbelief.
"Hmph, don't think I'm just gonna forgive you."
Silas smiled.
"Yeah? Then I'm sorry, what I did was unforgivable… maybe we should break off contact."
Alice who had just breathed a sigh of relief instantly had her heart in her throat.
"NO! Its fine, I forgive you… "
Silas shook his head and smiled.
"Ohh, alright then."
Alice on the other side smiled. Of course she knew she was being manipulated… but didn't this just mean he cared enough to manipulate her?
"How has your week been so far?" Alice asked, switching subjects.
"It's been good, quite eventful."
"That's good." Alice answered cheerfully.
"I will let you go back to sleep."
"Mhh. See you tomorrow at school."
Click.
Alice heard the click and laid down her back, a slight smile hung on her lips.
She didn't know why, but she felt happy, her emotions were like a roller coaster.
She went from anxious and worried to longing and happiness. She couldn't wait till tomorrow.
Just then a knock was heard on the door.
"Alice, are you okay?"
It was Ella.
"Yeah, come in."
Ella walked in and saw Alice laying on the bed with a smile on her lips. Ella smiled and asked.
"Did he answer?"
Alice looked over.
"No."
Ella looked confused.
"He called." Alice smiled mischievously.
Ella looked at her and understood what she was doing. She then smiled and said.
"See, it was nothing. Why hadn't he answered?"
Alice sat up.
"He had come home, put his phone on charge… but fallen asleep."
Ella put her hand on her mouth and chuckled.
"See? You were just worrying. Humans need sleep, you know."
Alice pouted.
"Yeah, but most do it during the night."
Ella nodded.
"But if he was tired from moving he might need more sleep, or if he had trouble sleeping because of an unfamiliar environment."
Alice looked thoughtful and nodded.
Ella smiled and said.
"You shouldn't worry too much."
Alice looked down at her phone and nodded.
…
Forks.
Immortal Mansion.
Silas had just hung up, when he looked at his other notifications. Some were from Cessian, one was from Mikael… and lasty Kate, she had sent quite a few.
Silas ignored Cessians since he had met him earlier and looked at Mikaels, it was just him wondering if everything was going well. It was.
Silas then turned his attention to Kate's messages. It was some from yesterday about lunch and one from today, he selectively ignored yesterday's ones.
Kate text: Have you charged your phone yet?
Kate text: Can we still sit at lunch tomorrow?
Silas sent two back.
Silas text: Yeah.
Silas text: Of course.
He then turned off his phone and laid down on the bed. He looked at the roof and pondered his life.
Who could've thought he would ever be in Twilight.
Sigh.
The more he thought the sleepier he got, soon he felt his eyelids grow heavy. He wanted to sleep, he could dispel it if he wanted, he could be at full energy… but now he wanted to sleep.
Slowly sleep descended him into darkness and quietness.
