Inside, the house smelled of wet soil and old wood. Water drops fell from the roof. Suddenly, they heard soft footsteps upstairs.
"Maybe cats," Rina said, though her voice shook.
Then they saw wet footprints forming on the dusty floor… walking toward them… with no one there.

Arko screamed. The footprints stopped right in front of them.
A cold wind passed through them. Rina felt someone whisper near her ear —
"Why did you come back…?"
But she had never been there before.
