Chapter 182 - Chapter 182: Capturing Cyndaquil

Chapter 182: Capturing Cyndaquil

After blasting off the Team Rocket Trio, Ash's group quickly appeared on a small mountain filled with caves.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted towards a cave on the hillside.

A Cyndaquil curiously poked its head out to look at them.

"Wow, how cute! If only it were a Water-type," Misty said with some regret.

The Cyndaquil was small, and without fire on its back, it really looked quite cute.

The Cyndaquil glanced at Ash's group, then lazily yawned, looking like it hadn't fully woken up yet.

Seeing the Cyndaquil turn and walk into the cave, Brock hurriedly shouted, "Oh no, the Cyndaquil is leaving!"

"Hurry up and go after it, otherwise it'll be hard to find once it gets far away, and it'll be troublesome if that person from earlier shows up."

"Hmm, follow behind me. There are many caves on this mountain, and the terrain is quite complex."

Ash used his Psychic powers to carry the two of them as he flew up, arriving at the cave the Cyndaquil had entered in the blink of an eye.

Just as Ash's group entered the cave, the purple-haired boy also found his way to the small mountain and happened to see them entering the cave.

"This cave is so deep!" Brock exclaimed.

Ash analyzed, "There must have been many Cyndaquil living here before. Look at the cave walls; they are basically covered in claw marks from the Cyndaquil Family."

"Doesn't that mean there's more than one Cyndaquil here?" Brock was a bit excited.

Ash shook his head, "That's not the case. The Cyndaquil presence here is only the one we just saw."

"The others probably moved away for some reason."

Wild Pokémon do have a habit of migrating. There are only two main reasons for migration: either there is an invasion by external enemies that they cannot defend against, or food in the habitat has decreased, forcing them to move.

With Aura detection, it didn't take long for Ash's group to find the Cyndaquil, which was lying on a rock preparing to sleep.

[Pokémon: Cyndaquil] [Type: Fire] [Gender: Male] [Level: Veteran Advanced] [Ability: Flash Fire (Absorbs fire when hit by Fire-type moves, strengthening its own Fire-type moves)] [Potential: Elite] [Moves: Tackle, Smokescreen, Glare, Ember...]

"Brock, do you want to give it a try?" Ash asked, looking at Brock.

Brock shook his head, "I'll pass. Ash, you go ahead and capture it."

He did like the Cyndaquil, but there was only one, and Ash was the one who actually found it. Besides, he wasn't very good at raising Fire-type Pokémon, so he knew his limits.

"Then I won't be polite. Eevee, I choose you!"

Just as Eevee jumped onto the rock platform where the Cyndaquil was, an exasperated voice rang out, "Sandslash, use Fury Swipes on Eevee!"

A Sandslash suddenly burst out from the other side of the stone platform, its sharp front claws raking towards Eevee.

Ash frowned slightly and said, "Eevee, use Quick Attack."

Hearing the command, Eevee moved nimbly and easily dodged Sandslash's attack.

"Hey, you guy are too shameless! We were clearly the ones who found the Cyndaquil first!" Misty accused angrily.

The boy retorted coldly, "Stop nagging. No matter what method is used, whoever captures it first wins."

"Fine, Sandslash, quickly grab the Cyndaquil!"

This arrogant statement successfully annoyed Ash. "Very well, since you attacked us first, Pikachu, don't hold back. Use Iron Tail."

"Pika!"

Pikachu was clearly angry too, because Eevee had almost been hurt just now. He leaped high into the air, lightning crackling as he instantly appeared beside Sandslash, striking the two-meter-long beast-like slash fiercely against Sandslash's waist and abdomen. With just one hit, Sandslash was knocked flying and embedded into the rock wall.

"San... Sandslash..." The boy was instantly dumbfounded.

He didn't expect to have kicked such a hard iron plate this time.

"Pikachu, give that guy a little taste. After we capture the Cyndaquil, send him to the station for tea. Who does he think he is, daring to attack an Alliance Inspector?" Ash said coldly.

For such an unreasonable and ill-mannered guy, one can only let him experience what the beatings of society are like.

"Pika... chu!"

Pikachu used the minimum power Thunder Shock on the boy.

"Nu... numb!"

The Cyndaquil was quite bold; the big commotion Ash and the others made not only didn't scare it away, but it actually watched with great interest, looking just like an onlooker.

"Eevee, the troublesome guy has been dealt with. Use Swift on the Cyndaquil!"

"Eev-ee!"

Eevee twisted its body, flicked its tail, and several waves of star-shaped beams attacked the Cyndaquil.

Seeing the attack, the Cyndaquil unhurriedly spat out a cloud of black smoke.

"Eevee, full power Quick Attack at three o'clock!"

Eevee dove into the smokescreen, and the next second, the Cyndaquil was knocked flying out.

Ash threw an empty Poké Ball at the right moment when the Cyndaquil landed.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for capturing Cyndaquil. Obtained 3000 points, 1x Top-grade Fire Stone, 1x Flame Orb."

"Ash, congratulations on capturing the Cyndaquil!" Misty and Brock congratulated him.

Ash picked up the Poké Ball with satisfaction, "It's nothing!"

After tending to the Cyndaquil's injuries, Ash's group escorted the boy away from the Cyndaquil's home.

Not long after leaving the forest, Ash's group, amidst the boy's pleas, handed him over to Officer Jenny.

After Officer Jenny's investigation, it turned out the boy had a long track record of bad behavior, such as forcing people with lower-level Pokémon to battle him, forcibly snatching Pokémon others intended to capture, and so on. This time, not only did he plan to snatch the Pokémon Ash intended to capture, but he also planned to launch a sneak attack on Ash's Pokémon, and was suspected of attacking an Alliance Inspector.

The final result was that the boy's Trainer qualification was revoked, and he would have to be recycled and serve five or six years in prison.

"That kind of person deserves it; he's simply abominable," Misty said indignantly.

"Indeed."

Ash nodded, then silently opened the system and arranged a miserable fate for the boy.
