Chapter 86 - Chapter 86 Mewtwo

Chapter 86 Mewtwo

"Mew!" (Your Telekinesis is strong, but not strong enough.)

Mew spun around and looked at Mewtwo, as if waiting for Mewtwo to give it another surprise.

"Mew, long time no see!"

Just then, Ash also arrived behind Mew with his Pokémon.

"My messenger, you've come!"

Mew increasingly felt that letting Ash become its messenger was the right decision. His Aura had completely surpassed that of the Aura Guardian from back then, and he had also received blessings from Viridian Forest and Ho-Oh.

"Messenger? Why, why choose a human as a messenger?"

Upon seeing the close relationship between Mew and Ash, Mewtwo immediately became displeased. It was 'too similar' to Mew. If Mew was so close to humans, wouldn't that make it look like a clown?

"There's no why, Ash is Ash, different from other humans. And you are already a mature Pokémon, you need to learn to control yourself." Mew said in an old-fashioned tone.

Indeed, with Mewtwo's Elite-level strength, if it were to cause widespread harm to humans, it could easily reignite the war between humans and Pokémon. If it came to that, Mewtwo would undoubtedly become the public enemy of all Elite Pokémon.

This was also a scenario Mew didn't want to see. It was already 'tired' guarding the World Tree, and didn't even have enough time to wander outside, so it had no desire to fight.

"Hmph!"

Mewtwo didn't care about any of that. It raised its hand and unleashed a Swift, shooting towards Mew and Ash.

Facing the attack, Mew calmly opened a shield.

The Swift couldn't even shake the shield, let alone break it.

Seeing this, Mewtwo gathered Psychic-type energy in its right hand, forming a sharp blade, and thrust it forward.

Boom!

The Psycho Cut collided with the shield, stirring up a large amount of smoke. Smoke meant no damage; Mewtwo's attack still hadn't broken Mew's shield.

"Mewtwo, you can't defeat Mew. Continuing will only bring humiliation, why bother?" Ash advised.

Mew has a divine position and is also the guardian of the World Tree. With the double blessing of the divine position's power and the World Tree's power, even if three to five more Elite Pokémon without divine positions came, they might not be able to defeat Mew, especially since Mew isn't even serious yet.

Trying to use type advantage might be possible in a game, but this is reality, with no skill limitations. Mew can use all moves except for exclusive Elite Pokémon moves, so type advantage is almost impossible.

When Mew fights Mewtwo, whether serious or not, it's like a father fighting his son—a guaranteed win. The only difference is that if Mew fights seriously, Mewtwo won't even be able to retaliate and will be completely dominated; if not serious, Mewtwo might get a couple of hits in before being dominated again.

"I don't believe it!"

Mewtwo completely ignored him, raising its hand and unleashing another Psychic.

"Mew, it seems we need to subdue it first." Ash suggested.

"Hmm… Ash, you want to catch it, don't you?" Mew asked.

"I have that thought, but it seems to have some misunderstandings about humans."

"It's fine. As long as you want to catch it, Ash, I believe that as a Aura Guardian, you can resolve its inner turmoil. Complete the battle you just didn't finish."

"Alright. Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Charizard, Dragonite, use Dragon Pulse! Zapdos, use Zap Cannon!"

Since Mew had spoken, Ash had no more reservations. He immediately ordered Pikachu and the others to forcefully attack Mewtwo.

.....

At the same time.

Nearly two hundred kilometers from Ash's location, the Flying Elite Four Lance was aimlessly searching for Ash. He had no idea where Mewtwo and Ash had flown.

"Wooh?"

Suddenly, Lance's Dragonite seemed to sense something, stopping and looking towards the coast.

"Dragonite, did you find them?"

Lance asked.

However, his Dragonite spread its hands. It wasn't sure if what it had just sensed was indeed the person they were looking for.

"Forget it, let's go check first. If not, then we'll ask the Jennys in various places to Assist with the investigation." Lance said, somewhat helplessly.

At this point, he could only pray that Ash was alright. Otherwise, he would not only face accountability from the Alliance but also the possibility of being held responsible by Professor Oak and others.

....

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail to shatter its barrier! Charizard, seize the opportunity to deliver the final blow!"

With Mew's assistance, Ash's righteous group attack finally pushed Mewtwo's stamina to its limit.

Pikachu was the type that grew stronger the more it fought. This battle not only successfully advanced him to Elite-level but also propelled him to mid-Elite stage. His Elite-level Giant Beast Slash easily shattered Mewtwo's shield.

Mega Charizard X also took advantage of the opening, getting close to Mewtwo and unleashing a flurry of punches. Finally, it used a Million-Ton Punch, sending Mewtwo crashing into a pit.

Ash also seized the opportunity to capture Mewtwo.

The Master Ball took Mewtwo in, swayed twice, and then burst apart. Mewtwo, panting heavily, stared at Ash with fierce eyes, its face full of defiance.

"Still not convinced? Alright, then I'll deliver the final blow myself."

Ash rubbed out a blue orb, stomped his right foot, and charged towards Mewtwo like an arrow released from a bowstring.

Boom!

The Aura Sphere exploded against Mewtwo's chest. Ash switched to close-combat mode and unleashed a fierce Tiger Climbs the Mountain on Mewtwo.

Mewtwo was stunned by Ash's punches and kicks. This human was too bizarre; not only could he use Psychic-type Pokémon moves, but his attacks were now even more ferocious than those of Fighting-types.

After taking a few heavy blows, Mewtwo snapped back to reality and began swinging its arms wildly, clashing with Ash.

And so, one human and one Pokémon began a royal PK.

Of course, in terms of fisticuffs, how could Mewtwo be Ash's opponent?

Grandmaster-level Eight Extremities Fist, both in technique and Power Up Punch, was enough to instantly defeat all Fighting-type Pokémon, let alone Mewtwo, which was a pure Psychic-type.

If it were Mega Mewtwo X, Ash would never choose close-quarters PK. Psychic ♦ Fighting, the types were the same as his, and Pokémon were inherently stronger than humans. Ash never looked for trouble.

As for this battle, it was purely Ash pummeling Mewtwo. Whether it was a heart-piercing elbow or an iron mountain lean, he just used whatever move felt natural and delivered it to Mewtwo.

"Pika?!" (It's over, it's over, Ash is completely inhuman now!)

"Wah roar!" (I agree, I agree!)

Charizard also watched Ash's actions with lingering fear. He was afraid Ash might give him such a beating too; it would be deadly for a dragon!

Zapdos felt about the same as Charizard.

Ancient Dragonite, however, didn't find anything scary. Her size was right there, and she wasn't stupid. Ash's background was so strong; wouldn't it be better to just follow along and live a good life?

About ten minutes later, Ash looked at the fallen Mewtwo and once again took out a Master Ball.

Perhaps Mewtwo was scared by Ash's beating, or perhaps its stamina had been depleted to zero. The Master Ball captured it instantly without even shaking, and it was successfully caught with a thud.

"Mew, thank you for helping Pikachu and the others suppress Mewtwo's abilities just now." Ash said to Mew, holding the Master Ball containing Mewtwo.

In the latter half of the battle, if Mew hadn't suppressed Mewtwo, Pikachu and the others wouldn't have been able to exhaust Mewtwo's stamina at all.
