Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 - Storage and Evil Eyes. Which should I buy?

Back home, I started looking for a skill that could work as storage. After searching for a long time, I didn't find a skill called "Storage," but I did find one called "Spatial Magic."

In other stories, this skill is usually used to create storage. I don't remember if, in the original story, it's possible to create storage using this magic, but maybe it is.

'I'll buy this.'

First, I bought the skill "Magic Power Operation" for only 200 points.

After that, I bought "Spatial Magic," which cost 400 points. In total, I only spent 600 points.

After acquiring it, I tried to do something with it, but I couldn't create storage at level 1. I also couldn't do much else. The only thing I managed to do was create some "cuts" in the air.

They looked like small black holes.

'Is this how the skill is supposed to work? I'm not sure. What would happen if a monster got hit by this?'

With a smile, I disabled the edits I had made to the "System Corruption" skill and edited Spatial Magic to level 10. Since I knew it had a "tier 2," I thought I would gain the skill "Dimensional Magic," but that didn't happen.

That's when I discovered that I don't receive the next tier of a skill just by editing it to level 10.

'That's disappointing. I should get the next tier once it reaches level 10! God is really stingy.'

But now that the skill was at level 10, I tried to create storage again. Surprisingly, it was very easy. As soon as I did, something like a black hole appeared. I stuck my head inside and looked.

There was a huge, completely black space inside.

'Is this where I'm supposed to store everything?'

I looked at the monster corpses and quickly went down. Then I tried storing one of the smaller monkey corpses. Fortunately, it worked without any issues.

As soon as the black hole got close to the body, it was sucked inside.

When I looked into my storage, it was there, taking up very little space.

'Can I go inside?'

I tried entering my storage—and I could.

Right after that, the entrance disappeared.

I got worried that I might get stuck inside, but I managed to get out without any problems.

'This is a great place to hide if necessary.' I smiled and started storing all the bodies to eat later. This also prevents new anomalies from spawning in the area.

After storing everything, my storage was almost full.

'There's less space than I expected.'

I closed my storage and went back up to my house to rest.

Then, I started checking out the special eyes available for purchase.

After looking through them, I found out that each one costs 1,000 points. Since I already spent 600 points, I can only buy one right now. I have 1,900 points left. If I level up once more, I'll be able to buy two "Evil Eyes."

But I'll leave that for later.

'The strongest and most interesting ones are the "Annihilating Evil Eye," "Petrifying Evil Eye," "Hypnotizing Evil Eye," and "Maddening Evil Eye."'

If I had to choose one right now, it would be either the "Hypnotizing Evil Eye" or the "Petrifying Evil Eye." I even tried to get the second one by killing that lizard last time.

But thinking about it, isn't a hypnosis-type eye really good? I don't know how effective it is, but it might be very powerful. If I can hypnotize any monster in this place, wouldn't that be great?

Wouldn't I be able to create an army with this ability? Then again, that's probably unlikely. Some monsters might have resistance, and controlling many enemies at once is certainly impossible—especially stronger ones.

There's no point in creating an army of weak monsters, right? Unless it's just for distraction.

'I wish there was a skill that let me control multiple powerful monsters freely. It would be insane to have several strong monsters under my command.' Unfortunately, something like that probably doesn't exist.

After sighing, I kept thinking about which eye I should buy.

Right now, I need offensive abilities—especially if I'm going to face that dragon.

Isn't the "Petrifying Evil Eye" interesting? I could petrify part of the dragon's body—or even its entire body if I raise the skill to level 10. When I checked its status, I don't remember it having any resistance to petrification.

'But I'm pretty sure that dragon has mental resistance. It's also more intelligent.'

I don't think hypnosis would be very effective on it, even at max level.

'Ugh. Why am I overthinking this? I just need to level up once more to buy both.'

That's when I decided to go hunting again.

I'll level up once more and buy both eyes!

I left my house and looked at my unedited status:

Abyss Anomaly Taratect LV6

Skill Points: 1,900

Nameless

Status

HP: 2,600

MP: 2,600

SP: 2,900

Average Offense Ability: 2,800

Average Defense Ability: 2,400

Average Magic Ability: 2,100

Average Resistance Ability: 2,300

Average Speed Ability: 2,600

It's great that my stats look this clean. I hate uneven numbers.

I'm pretty strong, aren't I?

'Well, I'm still very weak compared to those anomalies. Maybe I should start worrying about my system, shouldn't I?'

I gained a new evolution that is an anomaly, so my system is connected to all these anomalies appearing.

I should start being cautious… Even if it's helping me now, in the future it might turn against me.

God wouldn't be that cruel to me, right?
