Chapter 3 - Busy schedule Chapter —3 Morning Mayhem

Sunlight slanted through the blinds, cutting across my small apartment like a spotlight on my impending doom.

I groaned, sitting up on the bed. My head throbbed from lack of sleep. My schedule, my life, my careful little world… all in ruins.

And then I remembered.

Three girls. Three girls were living here now.

My pulse picked up.

I dragged myself out of bed, trying not to think about the silver-haired girl's piercing gaze, the redhead's teasing grin, or the dark-haired girl silently observing everything from the corner of the room.

I stepped into the kitchen.

Big mistake.

The redhead was standing on a chair, trying to reach the top shelf. "Whoa! Who puts the cereal up there?" she shouted.

"I can help—" I started, but she smirked. "Nah, you're too slow. I got this."

Before I could react, she slipped slightly. I lunged forward to catch her. Our hands touched.

Thump.

My heart… exploded.

"Careful!" I stammered, pulling back, face burning.

The silver-haired girl leaned against the counter, arms crossed, eyes rolling. "You're overreacting. It's just a girl."

"Just a girl?" I wanted to scream. My brain had forgotten all proper logic.

The dark-haired girl sat at the table, notebook open. She looked at me, calm, almost amused. "You… get flustered easily."

I… I couldn't argue with that.

Suddenly, the silver-haired girl grabbed a frying pan. "Who's cooking breakfast?"

"Uh… I—I can—" I started.

"Impossible," she interrupted, smirking. "You're hopeless in the kitchen. Redhead, help me. Dark-haired one, you sit. Take notes."

"Notes?" I muttered.

"Yes," she said, flashing a grin. "You'll learn from us."

The redhead laughed, hopping down from the chair. "Yeah, virgin landlord, today you survive breakfast… or you die of starvation."

I blinked. Is this real life?

Sparks Fly

The morning passed in chaos.

Silver-haired girl flipping eggs with terrifying skill

Redhead teasing me at every opportunity

Dark-haired girl observing, making sharp comments that cut right to the bone

And through it all…

I noticed little things.

Silver-haired girl's hair catching the sunlight perfectly as she moved

Redhead's laugh, pure and teasing, lingering in my head

Dark-haired girl's quiet, knowing smile whenever she caught me staring

Every accidental brush of hands, every close moment in the small apartment…

I could feel tension coiling tighter and tighter in my chest.

It wasn't just anxiety.

It wasn't just chaos.

It was something… more.

Something I couldn't name yet.

Cliffhanger

By the time breakfast was over, I was drenched in sweat, exhausted, and completely unprepared.

And then the silver-haired girl leaned over, smirking.

"You know, this is going to be fun. But don't think you're in control, virgin landlord. This apartment… it's ours too now."

My chest tightened.

The redhead winked. "Try surviving today. Just try."

The dark-haired girl's eyes met mine, calm and sharp. "You have no idea what's coming."

I swallowed hard.

And I didn't.

Because my life, my schedule, my careful balance… was officially over.

After breakfast—or what could barely be called breakfast in the chaos of spilled eggs, smoke from the frying pan, and redhead constant teasing—I realized something important.

The three girls hadn't even met each other yet.

And now… it was time.

I swallowed hard and cleared my throat.

"Uh… maybe we should all… introduce ourselves?" I said, my voice shaking slightly.

The silver-haired one, crossed her arms and gave me a sharp look. Calm, commanding, like she already owned the apartment.

"I'm Ayane," she said. Her eyes scanned every corner of the apartment, lingering on my bed, my desk, my little kitchen. "I like structure. And I expect everyone to follow the rules… mostly."

The redhead, bounced on her heels, twirling a strand of hair. "I'm Rika! Rules? Ha! I make my own." She smirked, glancing at Ayane. "You seem… serious. Boring, maybe?"

Ayane's piercing eyes narrowed slightly, but I swear I saw a small smirk tug at her lips. Interesting, she must have thought.

Then I looked at dark-haired one, quietly sitting at the table with her notebook open.

"I'm Mio," she said softly. Her eyes met mine for a second, then glanced at Ayane and Rika. "I observe first. Speak later. I don't like unnecessary chaos… but I tolerate it, for now."

Ayane raised an eyebrow. "Tolerate chaos? Sounds like you're speaking to me."

Mio's lips curved faintly. "Maybe."

Rika couldn't resist, leaning forward. "Ohhh, this is already fun. Ayane vs Mio. Red vs… quiet? I love this already!"

I groaned and buried my face in my hands. Why did I think this would be simple?

By the time introductions ended, my head was spinning.

Ayane had already claimed the kitchen as her territory.

Rika had declared the living room her "personal chaos zone."

Mio sat calmly in the corner, observing everything with those sharp eyes.

Then they all turned to me at once.

"You're in charge… right?" Ayane asked, voice calm but slightly challenging.

"You're paying the rent," Rika added, smirking.

"And we're judging your ability to survive this," Mio said softly.

I swallowed hard.

This… this is officially chaos.

Every glance, every subtle movement… made my mind spin.

And even though I knew my busy schedule was about to get completely out of control…

A tiny spark of excitement ignited inside me.

Because this wasn't just roommates.

This… was destiny knocking.

They like me as standing right in the middle of it, exhausted, overwhelmed, and completely unprepared.

And I knew one thing for certain:

Living with these three girls wasn't going to be easy.

It was going to be… chaotic.

It was going to be… unpredictable.
