I happily skipped breakfast and went outside to see Two black tinted cars waiting for me.
Today, Audrey has decided to escort me to school. Apparently she's home schooled and wants to know how a normal school functions.
We have gotten so close that her Father now allows her to visit and probably sleep over if she wishes, though our parents have not gotten the chance to meet yet.
My mother always includes that in our family prayers.
We arrived at school and a lot of people were gathered, waiting for us— for HER!
Apparently, she had posted it all over her social media stories that she would be visiting.
Audrey got down excitedly, making videos and taking pictures with people who asked
Actually, everybody was asking.
The principal had to call order, with the help of other teachers and the bouncers that accompanied us .
In class, Theresa kept wanting her to notice her. sometimes, she would make fun of me and everyone would laugh
Sometimes she would offer Audrey sweets or snacks or even the seat beside her but Audrey preferred to stay in my company
"I am guessing you are not the queen bee around here" she asked
"Neither that nor the minions" and she laughed to that
"I like you as you are. Never change that"
During The Break, Theresa came around again
"Hi Girl, we haven't gotten the chance to have a one on one conversation" sha said sitting between Audrey and I
"A private conversation? Like one without your minions besides or is it behind you?"
People chuckled, other laughed
And a flush of embarrassment spread across Theresa's face." I actually don't like that they are all over me, but what can I do? They love me"
Her minions nodded like they were being controlled.
"All right then. What is it that you wish you talk about?"
"Can you come sit with me?"
"Uhm..... For personal and security reasons, I would like to sit here... with Pat" she said smiling like she didn't know what she was doing. "You could join us..... That's if you don't mind. But I doubt there's space for you and your girls"
Theresa looked at me, with death glare and for the first time, I wasn't terrified of her or what she would do.
"I would also appreciate it if you went over to the other side." Audrey added.
Maybe she didn't hear it, or maybe she didn't want to Leave, in other words, she wasted time in leaving and a bouncer had to come carry her out.
"I am going to tell your brother about this. You don't act like a Princess that you are. Following this thing around is below your class and you don't have to stoop so low." she scolded, tears welling up at her eyes.
Even though everything she said was true, I found joy in knowing that Audrey was fighting for me.
I tried holding back my laughter when I saw her miserable face.
"Go on then, you whore." was simply Audrey's reply and everyone in the cafeteria burst out laughing.
Theresa ran away crying, her minions following.
School was fun afterwards.....
Audrey tried to answer a few questions in class. Not like anyone tried to compete with her
and if she failed the question, everyone clapped for her.
It made me wonder just how much People loved and adored her.
"Let's do this some day" she replied when we were going home.
"You do know you caused a lot of chaos today at school, right?" I asked
"Oh, I love chaos" she said laughing. "Did you see Theresa's face? OMG, I would do anything to see it again. But it was fun, yes?
"Of course, it was " I admitted smiling.
Tomorrow was going to be hell, I knew that for sure. Theresa is never going to let it die.
When we got to my house, I hugged her farewell, "Thank you for today" I said
"Oh, it's no problem, she said, coming down with me"
"What are you doing?" I asked laughing
"I am coming in for a while and then, I will go home later" she said. Turning to face the driver, she only said, "You can go"
"It is nice to be rich."
She only rubbed my hair, chuckling
Not like I was expecting a reply though.
When Mother opened the door, her face was filled with excitement ."What happened?" I asked
but Audrey was already talking, "You wouldn't believe what happened today B"
She alone calls my Mom B, short for Beatrice.
"Ohh, I cannot wait to hear it, but...."
"But what?" Audrey asked, entering inside , I followed afterwards.
she suddenly stopped and I followed suit.
I saw him before I heard it
"Charles is here"
