Chapter 52 -  Freezing the Rabbit

—Divine Vacuum Orb!

—Divine Vacuum Wave!

Kaguya opened her mouth and unleashed continuous blasts.

Yet whether it was the pressure cannon or the cutting wind waves, none of them could break through the deep crimson barrier before her.

In the end, she was nothing more than an empty shell now.

She had no Ten-Tails' power.

No chakra gathered from Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Her only real advantage was the abnormal agility of her current form.

But inside this unbreakable barrier, even that advantage was steadily being weakened.

Kaguya turned her gaze toward the three of them.

Her rabbit teeth ground together with a harsh crack.

"Must you really drive me to extinction?"

"I won't let you have your way!"

Savage light burst from her enormous Byakugan.

—Daizan!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Within the area enclosed by the Four Red Yang Formation, fragments of the shattered Chibaku Tensei began to rise.

Countless rocks floated into the sky, densely packed like an army of thousands.

They shot forward like a meteor storm!

The three of them unfolded their long-legged Susanoo forms, blades whirling wildly.

Interlaced shockwaves shattered the rocks midair!

But even after being smashed apart, the fragments were still controlled by Kaguya.

Worse, once broken, they became smaller, more numerous, and far harder to predict.

At the same time, the trio's own attacks were further damaging the ground, creating even more ammunition.

Daizan—

As long as the earth existed, her firepower would never run dry.

Obito said,

"It's futile, but… not a bad counterattack."

Madara replied,

"Let's ignore this rain and charge straight in."

Akira nodded.

"Yes. That's probably the greatest respect we can give her."

Their long-legged Susanoo launched forward.

Blade wheels tore through the sky, slicing apart boulders!

Seeing them force their way in, Kaguya hurriedly fired Divine Vacuum Orbs!

Three blasts—one for each of them!

—Kamui!

Obito swallowed his attack directly into Kamui.

—Limbo!

Madara swapped with a shadow and struck the wind sphere away with a blow strong enough to fell a Tailed Beast.

—Divine Illumination!

Akira erased his incoming orb outright.

Breakthrough successful.

Kaguya followed with a sweeping Divine Vacuum Wave.

Then came another storm of stones.

The three maneuvered through cutting winds and debris, weaving flawlessly.

They closed in.

"Get away from me—ALL OF YOU!!!"

Kaguya let out a shrill roar.

A shockwave rivaling Super Shinra Tensei exploded outward!

Their long-legged Susanoo, lacking full defensive power, shattered under the impact.

Madara and Obito raised their Truth-Seeking Staffs, shielding Akira behind them.

Not because Akira truly needed protection—

But because, as seniors, they instinctively guarded the successor they had placed their hopes in.

"Is this your last struggle, Kaguya?!" Madara roared.

His Rinnegan flared.

—Limbo: Border Jail!

"Limbo shadows aren't bound by physical laws!"

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

Four shadows surged forth.

Each deployed Perfect Susanoo avatars, locking Kaguya's rabbit body in four directions.

"Aaaahhh—!!"

Kaguya screamed in panic, struggling violently.

"Not enough!" Madara barked.

—Sage Art: Myōjinmon!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Massive red torii gates descended from the sky!

They sealed her head, shoulders, waist, limbs, and legs.

Kaguya was completely immobilized.

Akira summoned his Perfect Susanoo and hovered above.

Below him, Kaguya's massive body was pinned, helpless.

He condensed the Time-Slaying Destroyer Spear.

"Hold on."

"It'll be over soon."

Slash!

The spear pierced through her body.

Crack!

Frozen mist spread rapidly.

As her consciousness faded, Kaguya's thoughts drifted back…

To Takamagahara, a thousand years ago.

To the day before her deployment.

Inside the divine hall…

Her partner, Isshiki, was kneeling, head lowered.

She sat upright on a cushion.

Before her stood a man in white divine robes.

Long blue-silver hair flowed down his back.

One hand behind him, tall and elegant.

His voice was noble and calm, carrying unquestionable authority.

"Kaguya… I know you haven't completely abandoned your sympathy for humans."

"So if one day you betray the clan…"

"You'd better be prepared."

He turned slightly.

Revealing a Six-Tomoe Rinnegan—

Its sclera shimmering with a Tenseigan-like blue glow.

Suddenly, his voice changed.

Half male, half female.

Eerie and distorted.

"Prepared for judgment."

"From the clan…"

"And from humanity."

"Ryūshiki…"

As she spoke his name—

Her body froze completely.

Cold mist rose.

She vanished from the battlefield.

"Whew… Finally done."

Akira landed alone on the ground.

As an Edo Tensei, Madara and Obito felt no fatigue.

But Akira, in flesh and blood—

After nonstop Perfect Susanoo usage, planet-shattering labor, and continuous battles—

Was exhausted.

"Good thing I have Hashirama's chakra now…"

"And Uncle Madara's spiritual energy."

"Otherwise, I wouldn't have survived this."

Everything he needed—

He had obtained.

Even what he wasn't supposed to get—

He had obtained.

The foundation of his plan was complete.

Madara approached, Truth-Seeking Staff in hand.

It was time for an important handover.

"The summoning contract of the Gedo Statue…"

"Defaults to the first Rinnegan user after the Sage of Six Paths."

"That was me."

"Now, I'm transferring it to you."

Black sealing marks appeared on Madara's palm.

Akira raised his left hand.

Their palms met.

Light burst from Madara's Rinnegan.

Akira's body trembled.

He stepped back.

The contract had transferred.

He stared at his palm.

He knew—

What he received wasn't just control of the statue.

It was Madara's trust.

And his expectations.

From now on, Akira was the only person in the ninja world who could summon the Gedo Statue.

Even if new Rinnegan users appeared—

They could never compete with him.

Akira checked the time.

7:58 p.m.

Perfect.

He smiled.

"Dinner time. Let's go home."

Night.

A dark alley in Konoha.

Tōno Katō kicked a pebble away angrily.

Ten minutes earlier, his proposal in the hospital—

That scientific ninja tools could defeat Uchiha Akira—

Had been rejected by both Naruto and Sasuke.

It left him furious.

"The Seventh's vision is too narrow."

"After so many wars, his thinking's completely rigid."

"He can't even see that the future belongs to science!"

"Hey. You."

Katō stopped.

By the drainage pipe at the alley corner stood a blond boy.

Hands in his pockets.

Blowing bubble gum.

Blue eyes fixed on him.

Clearly waiting.

Katō froze, then smiled politely.

"Oh? Young Master Boruto."

"What can I do for you?"

"I heard everything you said in the hospital."

Boruto pulled his hand from his pocket, peeled the gum off his mouth, rolled it into a ball, and stuffed it back.

He looked at Katō.

"Tell me."

"With your scientific tools…"

"Can you really beat Uchiha Akira?"
