While David continued on his merry way, the trailer for the Pokemon game was posted on Youtube, and at first didn't get much attention.
That was until a certain person began to watch the video...
"Hello guys, here on the air is Watermelon for another gaming stream today!"
KoalaFriend: Yo!! It's Melon, wonder what he's going to do today?
PainterMan: Yeah, I watch him because he's pretty funny.
Anonymous: So what will we play today?
Watermelon was a streamer that focused on gaming and had a small following, however due to the stagnation of the industry, he only did this as a hobby and could not commit full time.
"So alright, what do we want to do today? Yesterday we were playing the newest video games on the market!"
PainterMan: Lol, don't say they were video games, they aren't worthy of the title.
KoalaFriend: Yeah!
FarmingLover: Well, there was that one game with farming that was nice.
BrotherOnGod: Bro, that one was barely better than the rest.
"Alright, alright how about playing some multiplayer games?"
Anonymous: Heh, I'm bored of that, can't you do something else?
KoalaFriend: Dude, if you're not satisfied with Melon just leave the stream!
PainterMan: I know, what a troll!
"So what do we do then?"
PainterMan: How about watching gaming news for any new announcements?
BrotherOnGod: Ooh, good idea bro! Maybe there's a game to look forward to!
"Alright guys, we'll go with PainterMan suggestion for now, let's look into video game trailers on Youtube!"
PainterMan: See Koala, I'm the number one fan of Watermelon, you can't even compare!
KoalaFriend: Shut up dude, I'm his number one fan, I bet you don't even know what the fruit taste like!
Anonymous: Guys, stop arguing I want to focus on the stream!
"Alright, let's look for new game trailers... Oh, there's one about a shooter here!"
After Watermelon and his viewers watched it they had a few things to say.
"Well that was..."
KoalaFriend: Boring.
BrotherOnGod: Bro, don't say that! The production team probably worked really hard on this!
PainterMan: Honestly, I have to agree with the number two fan of the streamer.
KoalaFriend: What did you say?!
"Alright guys calm down, This one was a dud we'll try to find another one."
Then suddenly a new video caught his eye.
"Huh? A new game trailer! Let's watch that!"
The title of this trailer was: Pokemon Game Trailer 1
KoalaFriend: Pokemon? What's that? Is it something about food?
PainterMan: Geez, it's obviously a game, how can you eat it?
"Alright then let's watch it then!"
The video starts with a Pokemon Logo and the name Pikachu Studio
"Never heard of them, are they new to the industry?"
Anonymous: Probably, I hope they have something good, or I'll give them a bad review in the comments.
The video begins in a white space where there is a man with a table next to him.
"Well hello there, My name's is Professor Oak. Welcome to the world of Pokemon!"
"I wonder what are those Pokemon things.
PainterMan: Guess we'll find out soon.
"They entered this world not long ago and are marvelous creatures!"
Then Professor Oak threw a Pokeball in the air and a Pikachu appeared. After that a few Pokemon that appear to be the starters are on the table.
"Pokemon seems to have some kind of energy coming from them and seems to have incredible power.
"Some people work together with them, some connect with them on a deeper level and others battle together."
"So they are pets you can battle with? That's pretty unique!"
KoalaFriend: Animals? I might buy this game if it's good!
"Me? I research Pokemon to understand more about them. You see, due to my limited capacity, I might need help to get data on these new creatures. And that's where you come in! You would help me collect information on them!"
"So It's a collection game with pets, i mean it's alright but not too interesting."
BrotherOnGod: Bro, the yellow creature is so cute, don't say that to its face!
KoalaFriend: Yeah!
"But I've heard some disturbing news. Recently, A group seem to have formed, they want to subjugate all Pokemons and harness their power to control the world!
"Seems serious."
Anonymous: Seems over the top.
"With the help of the others, I'm sure you can stop them and make friends!"
"This world is precious, you need to protect it."
"What do they mean by that?"
PainterMan: Don't know, seems confusing.
Then the video began to fade and a introduction appeared where it said that this would be the first VR game where the reality would be superimposed on the real world. The game would realease in 4 months for a price of 50 bucks on the VR platform.
"Wait you mean, That those cute creatures would be by my side and I could battle with them?"
KoalaFriend: Take my money!
PainterMan: It seems the release is for later this year, I'll have time to save money to buy it!
BrotherOnGod: Bro, you're not that broke.
"Honestly, this might be the most hyped I've been for a game!"
KoalaFriend: Me too!
Anonymous: Melon has great taste!
"Alright guys, I'll stop the stream, I need to post a video about this.
BrotherOnGod: Ride the wave, brother!
After ending the stream, Watermelon started frantically editing the video, this might be his best shot to break through, to cover a new promising game before anybody else. It might increase his following and revenue.
"Pokemon, huh? I'll get that game when it comes out and review it!"
This was not just about the money, but also about how this game seemed to reignite the fire deep inside him, a feeling he lost long ago.
"Let's do this!"
