Over dinner on a summer night, the 17th of August, Van could never forget that date. It was the night that led to his mother's demise. A night he wished to have been absent from the table, because if he had never known, maybe she would have still lived today.
It started off as a peaceful dinner, just him, his mother, and father. At the time, Dustin was overseeing an operation in a nearby city, and he no longer lived with them since he already had a home of his own from the money he had made. His sisters, on the other hand, all three of them were married. Only one had married someone she dated, the rest were all business.
"We are at the testing stage of the serum," Luther suddenly declared, a smile on his face, showing his delight at the accomplishment. "It has been too long since they started working, and by now we are ready to test it on a human subject."
