Chapter 1 - 1

Outside, heavy rain poured down, and the air inside the room felt chilling.

"What?!"

The Second Young Master's furious shout startled the guards beside him, leaving them flustered.

"Zwe… are you sure?"

His voice came out through clenched teeth.

"Yes, Second Young Master… it's certain that First Young Master fell off the cliff. We've already sent people down to search, but so far, he hasn't been found."

"…Fine. Keep searching."

Brother can't be dead…

"Yes, Second Young Master."

Thingha Moe Nya was the Second Young Master of the Thingha estate. The First Young Master of the household was his twin elder brother, Thingha Moe Yan.

Moe Nya knew this wasn't an accident. Just this morning, his brother had called and mentioned going on a mountain trip with his fiancé. Someone afraid of heights… going mountain climbing? Moe Nya found it strange. He had repeatedly warned him not to go near high places. And now he supposedly slipped and fell off a mountain. Moe Nya couldn't believe his ears.

If his brother really died, who would benefit the most?

Sure enough, it would be that fiancé of his—Min Set Htin Kyar. Moe Nya knew best that the man had sweet-talked his brother into staying home while he himself acted like the company's boss. His brother, meanwhile, blindly believed everything he said. Whenever they talked on the phone, that man would always be nearby, making it hard to discuss such matters. And since Moe Nya was abroad, visiting wasn't easy.

This has to be that bastard's doing, Moe Nya thought.

"Heh… Thingha Moe Yan, your company is mine now. Hahaha!"

Min Set Htin Kyar was overjoyed that his schemes were succeeding. But he didn't realize his own end was approaching. He had touched someone he never should have.

"Ko… has that pale pretty husband of yours died yet?"

"He must have. That deep ravine—there's no way he survived. I didn't even have to do anything. He fell on his own. That idiot believed everything I said. Heh."

"Yeah. Even a rock isn't as dumb as him."

Two hours earlier…

Moe Yan had been standing near the mountain's edge taking photos with Htin Kyar. When Htin Kyar told him to step back a little more, he did—and slipped, falling off the cliff. His head struck a tree stump, knocking him unconscious.

It was lucky, really. He didn't fall all the way down but landed halfway on a jutting ledge of earth.

When he woke, his head throbbed terribly, but he forced himself to stay calm and slowly climbed down from there. The place had a narrow path used by herb gatherers. Moe Yan was incredibly lucky. Even so, just as he neared the foot of the mountain, his body gave out before his will, and he fainted again.

Perhaps he had done great deeds in his past life, because after escaping death, he met yet another savior.

Xue Xin De had come up the mountain to gather medicinal herbs and spotted Moe Yan collapsed near the base. As a doctor, he couldn't ignore a patient. He carried Moe Yan back to the small clinic in the village.

---

Three months later…

At the airport—

"Make preparations. Starting today, I am Thingha Moe Yan. Call me First Young Master."

Moe Nya loved his brother dearly. He refused to believe he was dead—even when told so. Until he saw the body, he would keep searching. At the same time, he returned to Myanmar disguised as Moe Yan to capture the person who had harmed his brother and erase him for good.

---

Min Set Htin Kyar was also troubled. He wanted to seize the company, but since Moe Yan hadn't officially been declared dead, he couldn't claim it yet.

Although he was only managing it temporarily, he behaved as if he already owned it. The shareholders were displeased, but because of the Thingha family's influence, they stayed silent.

Before his joy could even fade, he received news: his beloved husband hadn't died—he had been recovering abroad and was now returning to Myanmar.

Moe Nya's car arrived at Moe Yan's house. When he honked, a young man came to open the gate.

Looking inside the house—

Wow… my brother's living in luxury with all this money.

He walked in and looked at the boy.

"Brother, you're not dead. That's great… I really thought I'd lost you… sniff."

The boy ran toward him crying with puppy eyes, startling Moe Nya.

"Yeah, I'm not dead. Don't cry."

Who is this kid? What's his relationship with my brother? Brother never told me, so I have no idea.

"Sniff… I thought I'd never see you again…"

Ah… what should I say? If I keep talking, my lies will be exposed… Think, Moe Nya… think… Oh!

"Ah… my head… ah…!"

"Brother, are you okay? I'll help you to your room."

"Mm."

Phew. That was close.

"Are you alright? Should I call a doctor?"

"It's fine. I hit my head, so sometimes this happens. It's normal."

"Brother, that head injury must be serious. You should rest first."

He was exhausted from the long flight anyway, so he didn't refuse and headed to the bedroom.

How strange… why is that boy taking such careful care of me?

As soon as Moe Nya entered the room, the boy with the innocent eyes instantly transformed into a devilish expression, muttering—

"You're not Brother Moe Yan… so who are you?"

"…7, investigate someone for me."

…..

Although Moe Yan and Moe Nya were twins, only Moe Yan was publicly known. The younger twin, Moe Nya, worked from the shadows, helping with matters behind the scenes. He never felt jealous of his brother. As long as his brother was happy, he was content even if he never stood in the spotlight—a devoted younger brother who made his brother his whole world.

That was why, aside from the Thingha household, no one else knew of the existence of the Second Young Master, Thingha Moe Nya.
