âI cast him a wary look that he seemed to try and decipher. "Hello, Lena," he murmured, shock coloring his voice. He looked like a man caught in a crime.
âI arched my brow even higher, grazing his form with my eyes. "Hello to you too, Mikhail."
âFor a stretched moment, we stood like that, assessing each other in the wake of the silence. He swallowed, and I could have sworn I saw a flush spread across his pale cheeks. I tried not to show my astonishment because I had never seen him blush.
â"Is there something I can help you with, Selene?" There was no irritation in his tone at my intrusion and subsequent staring. I was still on track.
