A violent shockwave blasted outward, shattering ancient pillars and ripping massive stone slabs from the walls. Entire sections of the Vault collapsed, sending torrents of debris crashing into the abyss below. The air screamed under the pressure of raw, uncontrolled energy.
At the center of it all, Kael Arden hovered in midair.
His body radiated blinding gold and crimson light, flames and shadows twisting together in violent harmony. His eyes burned like twin suns, glowing so brightly they cast long, distorted shadows across the chamber.
Ari collapsed to one knee, shielding her face. Leon planted his sword into the ground to keep himself upright, lightning crackling wildly around his body. Jax slid backward across the shattered floor before managing to stop himself. Ren stood frozen, unable to tear his gaze away from Kael.
"This… this power…" Leon whispered. "It's not human anymore."

Kael slowly lowered back onto the fractured stone floor. The moment his feet touched down, the raging storm of energy around him gradually calmed, condensing back into his chest. The Radiant Core pulsed violently before stabilizing into a slow, powerful rhythm.
He exhaled deeply.
And then he staggered.
Ari was instantly at his side, her hands glowing with healing energy. "Kael!"
"I'm okay," he murmured, though sweat soaked his brow and his muscles trembled under the strain.
Ren stepped closer, eyes filled with disbelief. "You crossed the final threshold… without being consumed."
Kael slowly lifted his gaze. "No. Something followed me back."
A chilling silence fell.
Before anyone could respond, the Vault trembled violently. The fractured crystal chamber began collapsing inward, reality itself warping as cracks formed across the air like shattered glass.
From within those fractures, darkness began to pour.
Not smoke.
Not shadow.
But something deeper a void so dense it swallowed light, sound, and even thought.
The temperature plummeted instantly.
Frost crept across the stone. Ari gasped as ice formed along her fingertips. Leon's lightning sputtered violently, unstable. Jax felt crushing pressure clamp around his chest, forcing the breath from his lungs.
Ren whispered, voice shaking, "The seal… it's breaking."
Kael's Radiant Core surged violently in response, golden flames bursting outward around his body. Every instinct inside him screamed danger.

A presence stepped through.
Reality bent inward, collapsing around a towering silhouette formed of pure void and crimson light. Massive horns curved backward from its head, its body wrapped in shifting darkness that rippled like living shadow. Its eyes burned deep blood-red, ancient and merciless.
The Eclipse Sovereign had awakened.
The Vault itself seemed to recoil.
Ari collapsed completely, barely conscious beneath the overwhelming pressure. Leon dropped to one knee, blood trickling from his nose. Jax slammed both fists into the ground, roaring as his muscles trembled violently. Ren staggered backward, his shadow energy spiraling uncontrollably.
Kael stood alone.
The Sovereign's gaze locked onto him.
"So… the Prime Flame has chosen a new vessel," the Sovereign's voice echoed directly inside Kael's mind, vast and crushing. "How fragile you still are."
Kael clenched his fists, golden fire igniting across his arms.
"I won't let you take this world."
The Sovereign laughed.
A sound that shattered stone and ruptured the air itself.
"This world was already mine long before you were born."
With a simple gesture, he raised one clawed hand.
Gravity collapsed.
Kael was hurled backward, smashing through multiple stone walls before crashing into a massive pillar. Pain detonated through his spine. His breath exploded from his lungs.
Before he could recover, the Sovereign was already there.
A single strike.
Kael barely raised his arms in time.
The impact detonated like a nuclear blast.
The entire chamber caved inward.
Kael's body skidded across shattered stone, leaving a deep trench behind him. Blood ran from the corner of his mouth. His vision blurred.
But he forced himself upright.

He vanished.
A sonic boom shattered the chamber as Kael reappeared directly in front of the Sovereign, his fist blazing with condensed Radiant energy.

The Sovereign staggered half a step.
Just half.
His eyes narrowed.
"Interesting."
He retaliated instantly.
Void energy detonated outward, slamming into Kael and blasting him through the chamber ceiling, sending him crashing into the endless void above the Vault.
Kael spun violently through the air, barely stabilizing before the Sovereign appeared in front of him once more.
Their collision sent shockwaves tearing across dimensions.

Kicks.
Every impact distorted reality.
Kael felt bones crack. Muscles tear. But the Radiant Core surged, regenerating him even as the pain screamed through his nerves.
