Kaiba Entertainment Group's secure vault was located on B5, five levels beneath the company. Classified documents, confidential research, and every sensitive result Kaiba Corp didn't want the world to see were sealed down there.
Only Seto Kaiba and Mokuba Kaiba had access.
And now—Kisaragi Aoi made three.
Ding.
The elevator doors slid open.
Aoi followed Seto into the underground facility. In front of them stood a gigantic ultra-alloy door, reinforced by several thick metallic beams—like a fortress gate built to withstand war.
Seto stepped forward, pulled out his ID card, entered a passcode, and leaned in for an iris scan.
With a low, heavy rumble, the door finally opened.
Inside were hundreds of safes—endless rows—each one with its own keypad, each one a locked mouth swallowing secrets.
"So this is the company vault?" Aoi asked, eyes narrowing slightly.
Seto didn't bother hiding his pride. "Yes. Only Mokuba and I knew about this place. The material here is absurdly durable—missiles won't break that door."
He walked to an empty safe and opened it.
"For now, the God Cards go in here."
"Alright." Aoi took out the three cards and stepped toward the open safe.
A shadow blurred across the space.
Aoi didn't even have time to register the movement—only the shock of impact as she was knocked off balance. She hit the floor hard.
And the three cards were gone.
Seto lunged, catching her before she fell fully, then snapped his head toward the fleeing silhouette.
"WHO ARE YOU?!" he roared.
A mocking chuckle floated back from the thief's retreating figure.
"Ha… ha… ha. Took long enough. These God Cards are mine at last. All those months undercover at Kaiba Corp weren't for nothing!"
The thief vanished into the corridors.
Seto's hand was already inside his coat, pressing the tiny communicator hidden there.
"Lock down Kaiba Corp immediately," he ordered coldly. "No one enters. No one leaves."
A siren exploded through the building.
Metal shutters slammed down across doors and windows throughout the facility, sealing the entire headquarters like a cage.
Seto helped Aoi to her feet, voice dropping to something quieter—dangerous, controlled.
"Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine," Aoi said, steadying herself. "Just… startled. I didn't think someone could infiltrate here."
"Recruitment surge," Seto spat. "That's how they slipped in. Damn it."
Aoi's gaze sharpened. "We need to chase them. If the God Cards are lost—"
"I know." Seto grabbed her hand. "Move."
They sprinted out.
When they reached the first-floor lobby, Isono was already waiting.
"Have you caught them?" Seto demanded.
Isono bowed deeply, tense. "My apologies. They were prepared. We lost their trail."
Seto's eyes turned razor-thin.
"Deploy every security team. Search every perimeter. Call the police if you have to. Anyone suspicious—anyone—is restrained and brought to me."
"Yes, sir!" Isono turned and hurried off.
Then—
Outside Kaiba Corp, the air shimmered.
A colossal projection rose into the sky: the Three Egyptian Gods, their silhouettes towering above the city like an arrogant declaration.
Aoi's expression darkened. "The three Gods…"
Seto's mouth twisted. "A provocation. They stole the cards, yet instead of running, they show them off right in my face."
Aoi didn't hesitate. "Then they want us to follow."
She bolted for the exit. Seto followed immediately.
The moment they stepped outside Kaiba Corp, three motorcycles rolled in and stopped before them—engines snarling.
Three riders sat astride them like executioners.
Seto's stare could cut steel. "Who are you?"
The first rider spoke in a solemn tone, like reciting scripture.
"When the forbidden door is opened…"
The second continued without pause.
"…the light of Orichalcos delivers judgment upon a corrupted world."
The third finished, voice sharp and proud.
"We are Doma's Three Swordsmen."
"Doma's Three Swordsmen?" Seto's eyes flashed. "You stole the God Cards."
The man in the center—broad-shouldered, imposing—tilted his helmet slightly, amused.
"That's right. Duel King Kisaragi Aoi… and Seto Kaiba. I'm taking the cards."
"This is our challenge. If you want the God Cards back—come to the abandoned construction site nearby."
His voice dipped into something almost delighted.
"I'll be waiting."
The three motorcycles roared to life and tore away, leaving exhaust and threat behind.
"Wait—!" Seto took a step forward, but they were already gone.
Aoi exhaled once, controlled. "Seto… we don't have a choice."
He nodded, jaw tight.
They reached the abandoned site: rusted scaffolding, dead concrete, skeletal beams—an ugly place for an ugly duel.
A cloaked man stood alone, draped in black, his silhouette matching the thief from the vault.
He was waiting.
Seto's voice cut the air. "You bastard—hand over the God Cards!"
The cloaked man didn't flinch. Instead, he spoke as if reading Aoi's resume aloud.
"Kisaragi Aoi. Battle City champion. The one who defeated the nameless Pharaoh…"
Aoi stepped forward, eyes icy. "So you're one of them."
"Correct." The man's mouth curled. "My name is Gurimo. I am one of Doma's Three Swordsmen—servant to Lord Rafael."
He spread his arms slightly, theatrical.
"Now. Accept my duel."
Aoi moved to step up—
Seto blocked her with his arm.
"Aoi. This duel is mine."
She looked at him, then smiled—small, calm, fearless.
"No, Seto. Those are my God Cards. I'm taking them back."
Before he could argue again, she walked past him and raised her duel disk.
"I'm ready."
Gurimo's eyes gleamed.
"Then let us begin."
Duel!
Gurimo LP: 4000Kisaragi Aoi LP: 4000
Seto stood outside the site's perimeter, watching. A cold unease curled inside his chest.
I believe in her victory… so why does it feel like something is wrong?
Gurimo drew first.
"My turn. Draw!"
He slapped a monster down.
"I summon Marauding Captain in Attack Position!"(ATK 1200 / DEF 400)
"And I activate its effect—when it's summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from my hand!"
A second card hit the field.
"I Special Summon another Marauding Captain!"
The two captains stood side by side like a formation built for war.
"And as long as this card remains on the field, you can't choose other Warrior monsters as attack targets!"
Seto's eyes narrowed. "Two Marauding Captains supporting each other… She can't attack around them."
Gurimo's grin widened. "I'm not done. I'll show you our true power."
He raised a card high like a ritual offering.
"Behold—a spell born from pure darkness. Its mysterious power becomes my strength. With the sacred sigil, I will seal both myself and my enemy!"
He slammed it down.
"I activate the Field Spell—The Seal of Orichalcos!"
A green ring appeared in the sky, descending slowly.
When it touched the ground, lines spread outward, forming a massive, glowing magic circle around the duel site.
A shockwave burst from the seal and threw Seto backward—forcing him out of range.
"Aoi!" he shouted, alarmed.
Gurimo laughed, voice echoing inside the circle.
"The Seal of Orichalcos… Once you enter, no one can interfere. No one can enter. No one can leave."
His tone sharpened into something cruel.
"The only one who walks out is the winner. The loser's soul will be sealed inside this sacred circle forever!"
Seto pushed himself up, teeth clenched. "So that's what this is…"
Gurimo's eyes burned with fanatic certainty.
"And now its power truly begins. Orichalcos darkens my monsters—raising their Attack by 500!"
A shadowy aura crawled over both captains.
Marauding Captain (ATK 1700 / DEF 400) ×2
Gurimo set one card facedown.
"My turn ends."(Hand: 2)
Inside the emerald seal, Aoi stood perfectly still—her gaze steady, her expression unreadable.
Outside it, Seto stared at the circle like it was a prison.
And for the first time since Battle City began, the unease in his chest sharpened into something close to dread.
