"Kisaragi—ha! I knew I wasn't wrong about you!" Kaiba laughed with unrestrained excitement. Shock was on his face, sure—but more than that, he looked genuinely happy at how overwhelming she was.
Marik, who had once wielded Ra himself, felt his spine go cold.
This can't be right… Ra is proud—arrogant. It doesn't "serve" anyone.Yet what he was seeing looked almost like reverence—like the god itself was willing.
Is Kisaragi connected to Ancient Egypt? No… Ra's posture looks like it chose her. Is it… betraying the Pharaoh?

"You Special Summoned it from the Graveyard… but its ATK is 0. Are you going to do what Marik did—merge with Ra to raise its power?"
"No. No, no, no." Kisaragi's voice turned flat. "That method? I'm not interested."
She tapped her Duel Disk.
"I activate the effect of The True Sun God—once per turn. I send The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix from my Deck to the Graveyard… and then I send my Winged Dragon of Ra on the field to the Graveyard as well!"
The divine bird she had just called forth vanished back into the Graveyard.
Joey stared, completely lost. "What the hell? She sent Ra to the Graveyard herself."
Marik swallowed. "Sister… did you hear her? 'Immortal Phoenix'…?"
"I did." Isis's eyes didn't leave Kisaragi. "So Ra isn't just one card… and those Spells she used are clearly part of Ra's system. What is this?"
Yami Yugi felt an unpleasant pressure in his chest.
She just threw away a God Card she finally summoned…? Why do I feel like something's about to happen?
A blaze ignited on Kisaragi's field—violent, sacred, devouring the air.
A phoenix, wreathed in living flame, soared upward.
"That is—"
Kisaragi's gaze stayed steady. "That's the card I sent to the Graveyard: The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix. When Ra on my field is sent to the Graveyard… Phoenix can Special Summon itself from the Graveyard."

Kisaragi didn't let the moment breathe.
"I activate Immortal Phoenix's effect—pay 1000 Life Points, then send one monster on the field to the Graveyard."
Her eyes locked onto the blue titan.
"I choose Obelisk the Tormentor."

The phoenix screamed, slammed into Obelisk head-on, and the giant ignited—blue stone turning into a furnace—until it collapsed into ash and disappeared.
"Your field is empty now," Kisaragi said. "Immortal Phoenix, direct attack!"
Yami Yugi's eyes widened. "What—after destroying a monster, it can still attack directly?!"
The burning bird dove straight at him.
"Sun God—go easy," Kisaragi said softly. "This is a duel, not an execution."
As if it understood, the phoenix reined in its force.

"Kisaragi… are you okay with that?" Yami Yugi asked, breathing hard.
"I am," she replied. "And you're okay—so that's enough."
He gave a short nod. "Agreed. But we're still settling this."
Kisaragi smiled—barely.
"I set one card. End my turn." (Hand: 5)
"At my End Phase," Kisaragi continued, "Immortal Phoenix is sent to the Graveyard. Then I can Special Summon The Winged Dragon of Ra – Sphere Mode from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard."
The phoenix sank back into the Graveyard—and a golden egg rose in its place, hovering ominously.

"Yugi," Kisaragi warned, "Sphere Mode has no printed ATK/DEF, but it can't be targeted by attacks or card effects."
Marik stared, shaken. "How is this even—Ra obeyed her… even held back its power because she told it to…"
Isis's voice was quiet, almost reverent.
"That is likely Ra's true authority. It's recognized her… and entrusted her with everything."
Down below, Téa watched Kisaragi's face.
"It's weird… she just pushed Yugi into a corner, but she looks serious—like she's worried."
"My turn—draw!"
For a split second, a shimmer flashed around Yami Yugi as he drew—so faint most people wouldn't notice.
Kisaragi noticed.
It's here… the Pharaoh's 'destined draw.'
Yami Yugi's smile sharpened.
"Kisaragi. You've got a monster that won't take attacks and won't take targeting effects. Most approaches won't work. But I do have a way."
Kisaragi's breath caught. "A card that works even on total protection…?"
A name flashed through her mind—something filthy, something molten.

Yami Yugi revealed the card.
"I activate Santa Claws."
He spoke the effect cleanly, like reading a sentence he'd rehearsed a hundred times:
"I tribute one monster on your field… then I Special Summon Santa Claws from my hand to your field in Defense Position."
Kisaragi's eyes narrowed.
"I tribute The Winged Dragon of Ra – Sphere Mode… and I Special Summon Santa Claws to your field!"

Kisaragi exhaled slowly, unimpressed—and irritated.
"Yugi… so you came prepared to remove a God Card with that kind of dirty tactic."
"Of course I did," Yami Yugi replied, unflinching. "I was certain you'd use the Gods. And after the vision I saw when I dueled Kaiba… I was convinced you're connected to Ancient Egypt."
His eyes burned with conviction.
"That's why I prepared answers—even for a God."
