"No," Kaiba replied, eyes narrowed. "Look at Kisaragi's expression—she's tense. Chaos Magician must have a nasty effect."
"I equip the Equip Spell Spellbook of the Magician's Incantation. Only Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl can be equipped with it."
He lifted a card toward the field.
"And Chaos Magician counts as Dark Magician while on the field and in the Graveyard—so I equip it to Chaos Magician!"
Chaos Magician (ATK 3200 / DEF 2100)
"At that moment," Yami Yugi declared, "I activate Chaos Magician's effect—once per turn. When a Spell/Trap effect is activated, I can target one card on the field and destroy it."
He pointed without hesitation.
"I destroy Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
"What?! So just by any Spell/Trap effect resolving, it can pop a card on the field?!" Kaiba snapped, genuinely startled.
"So this is Yugi's secret weapon against Kisaragi…" Téa whispered.
"Yeah," Joey muttered. "He didn't show that in earlier duels."
Chaos Magician raised its staff—dark energy coiling around the tip, ready to erase Blue-Eyes.
Kisaragi didn't flinch.
"Yugi… are you looking down on me?" she said coldly. "I activate the Trap Unyielding! Invincible! Strongest!!"
She almost rolled her eyes.
This card name really hits better when Seto yells it. After Battle City, I'm handing him this thing, she complained internally.
She snapped her gaze forward and recited the effect:
"I target one 'Blue-Eyes' monster I control. This turn, that monster:
cannot be destroyed by battle,
is unaffected by all other cards' effects except its own, and
any monster that battles it is destroyed at the end of the Damage Step."
"Therefore," Kisaragi finished, "my Blue-Eyes White Dragon can't be destroyed by your Chaos Magician this turn!"
Yami Yugi smirked.
"Heh. Sore wa dō kana."
"What—?!"
He thrust his hand down.
"I activate Magician's Navigation's Graveyard effect! Since I control Dark Magician—and Chaos Magician counts as Dark Magician—I banish Navigation from my Graveyard to target one face-up Spell/Trap you control and negate its effects until the end of the turn!"
He pointed at her Trap.
"I negate Unyielding! Invincible! Strongest!!"
The protection snapped like glass.
Chaos Magician's black spell detonated—Blue-Eyes was erased in a flash.
"Hmph," Kisaragi said, unfazed. "Nice one."
"Chaos Magician attacks Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon—Chaos Dark Magic!"
Kisaragi's LP 4000 → 3300
Mokuba's face went pale. "No—he still has two monsters that haven't attacked! If this keeps up, Kisaragi's going to lose!"
"No," Kaiba said sharply. "Her eyes aren't dead. She's got a follow-up."
Kisaragi flipped a card.
"I activate Trap Satellite Hunter. When my monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, I recover LP equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK."
She exhaled once, steady.
"So I gain 2500."
Kisaragi's LP 3300 → 5800
"Still not down," Yami Yugi admitted. "Then Dark Magician Girl and Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands attack directly!"

Yami Yugi set a card.
"I set one card. End turn." (Hand: 1)
Mokuba finally breathed again. "She made it through…"
"Of course," Kaiba said. "And now she'll bring out Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon. Chaos Magician's 'Chaos' effect is brutal—but Blue-Eyes 'Chaos' is worse. I'm betting on it."
"My turn—draw."
Yami Yugi's mind flashed back to Duelist Kingdom—the moment that monster had shattered his momentum.
This time… I'll surpass that defeat.
Kisaragi slammed a Ritual Spell onto the Disk.
"I activate the Ritual Spell Chaos Form. I Tribute Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand—and Ritual Summon Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon!"
The Blue-Eyes silhouette was swallowed by writhing, violent "chaos," then—
BOOM!
It tore through the darkness, its body now a deep, ominous blue, pressure rolling off it like a stormfront.

Kaiba's voice turned almost reverent.
"…Beautiful."
Yami Yugi tried to cut off her board anyway.
"Since you activated a Spell, I trigger Chaos Magician's effect—destroy Azure-Eyes Projection!"
Kisaragi didn't even look at the shattered card.
"Doesn't matter. My dragon is already here."
She snapped her fingers.
"And you know what it does."
"On attack declaration, if Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon was Ritual Summoned using Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I can activate its effect: change the battle positions of all monsters you control."
"And every monster that changes position becomes 0 ATK / 0 DEF."
"Also," she added, voice icy, "when it attacks a Defense Position monster this turn, I inflict piercing damage."
Yugi's eyes narrowed. "So you're trying to end it here."
Kisaragi's Graveyard shimmered.
"I banish Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon from my Graveyard. All Level 8 or higher Dragons I control gain 1000 ATK."

"What?!" Joey blurted. "She's going for the kill!"
Téa screamed, "Yugi!"
"Battle!" Kisaragi declared. "Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon attacks Chaos Magician!"
"Position-change effect—everything goes Defense, and everything becomes zero!"
