"You're attacking without even checking my set cards?!" Kaiba snapped, slamming a button on his Duel Disk.
"I activate the Trap Attack Guidance Armor! This card can be activated when an attack is declared. It has two effects:
Destroy the attacking monster, or
Target 1 monster on either field other than the attacking monster—the attack target is changed to that monster, and damage calculation is performed!"
"I'll force your Dragonmaid Ernus to wear the cursed armor—then your House Dragonmaid's attack will be redirected onto your own monster!"
"Then I activate House Dragonmaid's effect," Aoi said calmly. "When the opponent activates a Spell, Trap, or monster effect—negate that activation, and destroy it!"
"What?!" Kaiba's eyes widened.
"So your Attack Guidance Armor is negated."
"But after I use this effect, House Dragonmaid returns to the Extra Deck, and I Special Summon Dragonmaid Sheou from the Extra Deck!"
House Dragonmaid erupted in a flash of dazzling light. The armor clinging to Ernus fell away, and the dragon's form withdrew—reforming into an intelligent-looking maid with glasses.

Aoi stared at the hologram for a second.
…She really does look kind of like that crab guy, she thought, almost cracking up—though she didn't let it show.
"Tch. So that monster can negate Spells and Traps too," Kaiba muttered.
"It's 3000 ATK—same as Blue-Eyes. I'll end my Battle Phase."
"But first, I activate Dragonmaid Ernus's effect—return it to my hand, then Special Summon Dragonmaid Tinkhec from my Graveyard in Defense Position!"
At that exact moment—
"I activate Dragonmaid Sheou's effect! While this card is in the Monster Zone, if a face-up Dragon monster you control returns to your hand, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls—destroy it!"
BOOM!
One of Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragons was blown apart in a burst of light.
"Then I activate the Continuous Trap True Light!" Kaiba barked. "By its effect, I Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Graveyard!"
A stone tablet shaped like Blue-Eyes rose up behind Kaiba. It shone—then Blue-Eyes burst forth from the slab itself.
And the moment Kaiba looked at that tablet, that same fragmentary image flashed through his mind again.
"Not bad," Aoi said, smiling. "So you set that card."
"And because Elemental Spring triggers, I recover 500 LP!"

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell Dragonmaid Welcome! This card increases the ATK/DEF of my monsters by (number of 'Dragonmaid' monsters I control) × 100."

Aoi's expression tightened the instant she saw that look.
"So that's it…" she muttered.
"Kisaragi—let me show you a god."
"Of course," Aoi said, her brows drawing together.
"I activate Monster Reborn! I Special Summon The White Stone of Ancients from my Graveyard!"
"Kaiba—right now, I activate the Quick-Play Spell Dragonmaid See-Off!"
"This card targets 1 Dragonmaid monster I control. I Special Summon 1 Dragonmaid monster with a different name from my hand in Defense Position, and the targeted monster returns to my hand. The monster Special Summoned by this effect can't be destroyed by battle or card effects until the end of next turn."
"I return Dragonmaid Sheou to my hand—and Special Summon Dragonmaid Tinkhec in Defense Position!"
"Then I activate Dragonmaid Tinkhec's effect—add Dragonmaid Tidying from my Deck to my hand!"
Kaiba's eyes were burning now.
"Then I Tribute two Blue-Eyes White Dragons and The White Stone of Ancients—and descend, god!"
"Obelisk the Tormentor!!"
The entire duel arena shook violently. A colossal blue titan slammed down behind Kaiba like a falling mountain—alarms screamed from every machine in the test lab.
"Danger! Kaiba's summoned monster output is too high—system stability is collapsing!" technicians shouted.
Mokuba panicked and yelled, "Brother! Kisara—quick, end the duel! The equipment won't hold!"
But neither Kaiba nor Aoi answered.
"At this moment, I activate True Light again!"
"Rise—Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

"This turn, since Dragonmaid Tinkhec can't be destroyed, I won't enter the Battle Phase," Kaiba said, voice low and sharp.
