"What?!" Dark Yugi's eyes snapped wide.
Kisaragi's voice stayed calm—almost amused.
"Trap Card Counter Gate activates when you declare a direct attack. That attack is negated. Then I draw one card. If the card I draw is a monster, I can Normal Summon it immediately."
She drew.
The moment she saw the artwork, a smile tugged at her lips.
"I drew Maiden with Eyes of Blue—I summon her!"

"And Maiden's effect activates on Summon: I can add a Level 1 LIGHT monster from my Graveyard to my hand."
"I choose Sage with Eyes of Blue!"
"Still blocked…" Dark Yugi let out a bitter laugh.
Kisaragi set one card facedown.
"I set one card. Turn end."
End Phase: Dark Yugi Recycles His Engine
"At my End Phase, I activate Chaos Messenger in the Graveyard. By banishing one LIGHT and one DARK monster from my Graveyard (other than Chaos Messenger), I add Chaos Messenger back to my hand."
"I banish Evening Twilight Knight and Beginning Knight—and return Chaos Messenger to my hand."
But the banished Knights weren't done.
"When Evening Twilight Knight and Beginning Knight are banished, they each trigger—letting me add a Ritual Spell and a Ritual Monster from my Deck."
"I add Super Soldier Ritual and Chaos Soldier!"

Bakura nodded, impressed. "That's Yugi for you. He didn't finish her this turn, but he recovered the resources he spent and rebuilt a second wave."
Mai exhaled slowly. "This is already beyond most duelists… no wonder it's the finals."
Everyone silently agreed.
Kisaragi's Turn: "Let's End This."
"My turn—draw."
Kisaragi glanced at her hand once and spoke with certainty.
"Yugi… this turn should put a real end to this duel."
"What?!" Dark Yugi stiffened.
"I activate Sage with Eyes of Blue from my hand. I send it to the Graveyard, target Maiden with Eyes of Blue, send Maiden to the Graveyard as well—then I Special Summon one 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Deck."
"That's impossible! All three Blue-Eyes White Dragons are already in the Graveyard!" Dark Yugi barked.
Kisaragi pulled a card straight from her Deck and slammed it down.
"This is the power of Blue-Eyes. I Special Summon—Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon!"
A white dragon with four wings descended.

"Abyss Dragon's effect—if I have Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field or in the Graveyard, then when Abyss Dragon is Special Summoned, I can add one Ritual Spell or Polymerization from my Deck to my hand."
"I add the Ritual Spell—Chaos Form!"
Dark Yugi's eyes narrowed. "Don't tell me you're going for a Ritual Summon too…"
Kisaragi grinned. "Courtesy should be returned in kind."
"I activate Chaos Form! I can tribute monsters whose Levels equal the Ritual Monster… or instead, I can banish Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Dark Magician from my Graveyard as the substitute cost to Ritual Summon a 'Chaos' Ritual Monster from my hand!"
"I banish Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Graveyard—descend, Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon!"
A massive dragon wrapped in blue scales erupted onto the field, its pressure crushing the air.

"Then I activate Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon's special effect!"
"What?!" Dark Yugi snapped.
"If this monster was Ritual Summoned using Blue-Eyes White Dragon, then during the Battle Phase: I change all monsters my opponent controls to a different battle position—and any monster whose position is changed has its ATK and DEF become 0!"
"In other words—your Chaos Soldier switches to Defense Position, and its ATK/DEF become 0!"

"And Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon inflicts piercing damage—if it attacks a Defense Position monster, you take damage equal to the difference."
Mai swallowed. "That's… terrifying."
Dark Yugi slammed down a counter.
"I activate the Continuous Trap Spellbinding Circle! It stops one monster from attacking and from changing battle position!"
"Good! If Chaos Dragon can't attack, then next turn Chaos Soldier attacks and Yugi wins!" Jonouchi shouted.
Kisaragi's smile turned sharp.
"Yugi, I forgot to mention—Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon can't be destroyed by your card effects, and you can't target it with your effects."
Dark Yugi froze—then gritted his teeth.
"Then I'll place Spellbinding Circle on Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon!"
A hexagram sigil formed and surged toward Abyss Dragon, locking it down.
Kisaragi's gaze never left him.
"Continue the attack—Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon!"
Dark Yugi instantly pitched a card into the Graveyard.
"I activate Kuriboh—I send it to the Graveyard. This battle's damage becomes 0!"
Kuriboh popped up like a tiny shield, smothering the impact.
"…I barely survived that," Dark Yugi muttered.
Kisaragi's tone stayed icy.
"Not quite. Yugi—my Battle Phase isn't over."
"What? Chaos Dragon already attacked, and Abyss Dragon is sealed!" Dark Yugi said—yet his stomach sank with instinctive dread.
"I activate Quick-Play Spell Silver Dragon's Roar! I Special Summon a Normal Dragon from my Graveyard!"
Dark Yugi's shoulders dropped.
"Don't tell me…"
Kisaragi raised the card high.
"Exactly. Come forth—Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Dark Yugi's voice turned faint.
"I… lost…"
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon—direct attack! Burst Stream of Destruction!"
