Chapter 117 - Match 9 – The Bond of Shinobi

Deadpool was currently sitting on the floor of the booth in a full lotus position, wearing a hidden leaf headband (sideways, obviously) and slurping a massive bowl of miso ramen. He stopped mid-slurp, a single noodle hanging from his mask's mouth hole.

"tum, put down your phone and grab your tissues," Deadpool whispered, his voice cracking with artificial emotion. "We've reached the match that launched a thousand AMVs. It's the rivalry that defined a generation. The sun vs. the moon. The orange jumpsuit vs. the high-collar emo look. It's the Final Valley, Part 582!"

The arena shifted into a massive canyon. Two gargantuan stone statues—the First Hokage and Madara Uchiha—loomed over a thundering waterfall. The air was thick with mist and the smell of rain.

Heimdall was hovering over the water, looking a bit nervous about the incoming collateral damage. "Semi-Finals Match Nine! The Seventh Hokage, the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, Naruto Uzumaki! Versus the Supporting Kage, the Shadow of the Leaf, Sasuke Uchiha!"

The Initial Clash

The two men stood on top of the statues, looking at each other. No words were needed. They leaped simultaneously, meeting in the middle of the waterfall.

CLASH!

Fist met palm. Sasuke's Sharingan spun wildly, reading every muscle twitch, while Naruto's eyes were narrowed in his Sage Mode. They moved in a blur of taijutsu, water splashing around them as they traded blows that would have leveled a mountain.

Sasuke kicked Naruto back and immediately began weaving signs. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" A massive ball of fire roared across the water. Naruto didn't even flinch. He summoned two clones, and together they formed a swirling orb of blue energy. "Rasengan!"

The two jutsus collided, creating a massive explosion of steam that obscured the entire valley.

God-Tier Power

"Deadpool here! Don't blink, tum!" the merc shouted, his face pressed against the glass. "They're skipping the appetizers and going straight to the main course! Look at the sky!"

Through the steam, a massive, purple skeletal arm erupted. Sasuke had activated his Susanoo, the armored titan towering over the statues. In response, a blinding golden light filled the canyon as Naruto entered his Kurama Avatar Mode. A giant nine-tailed fox made of pure chakra roared, its voice shaking the very earth.

Sasuke flew into the air, his Susanoo sprouting wings. He drew an arrow of black lightning—Indra's Arrow. Naruto gathered the natural energy of the entire valley, forming two massive Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshurikens.

"NARUTOOOOO!" Sasuke screamed. "SASUKEEEEEE!" Naruto roared back.

The two ultimate attacks met in the center of the sky. The light was so bright the cameras glitched for five seconds. When the picture returned, the waterfall was gone. The lake was empty. Both statues had been decapitated.

The Last Stand

Naruto and Sasuke were back on the ground, their chakra nearly exhausted. Sasuke tried to use his Rinnegan to swap places, but he was stumbling. Naruto moved forward, his hand glowing with one last, simple Rasengan.

Sasuke charged with a Chidori, the black sparks of his Enton lightning flickering. They hit each other at the same time.

There was a moment of pure silence. Then, Sasuke's Chidori sputtered out. He looked down and saw Naruto's Rasengan hadn't hit his chest—it had hit the ground at his feet, the shockwave knocking Sasuke off balance just enough for Naruto to land a heavy, orange-tinted headbutt.

Sasuke fell back into the mud, unconscious but with a faint smile on his face. Naruto stood over him, swaying, his eyes returning to their normal blue.

"Match Nine winner... NARUTO UZUMAKI!" Heimdall announced, sounding genuinely relieved the planet was still in one piece.

Up in the booth, Deadpool was wiping his eyes with a kunai. "That's my boys! They're finally friends again... until the next time Sasuke gets moody and leaves for ten years. That's nine legends through, tum!"

Deadpool checked the list, his eyes lighting up. "Next up, we've got a real 'animal' of a fight. It's the man who is the best at what he does vs. the man who wants to be the strongest monster. Are you ready for Match 10: Wolverine vs. Garou?"
