Deadpool was currently wearing a yellow jumpsuit that was three sizes too small, frantically taping his fists with athletic wrap while chewing on a piece of literal scrap metal.
"tum, leave your fancy magic and your dimension-hopping at the door, because we're going back to basics!" Deadpool screamed, accidentally taping his own thumb to his palm. "We're heading to Ring 9, the 'Concrete Jungle'! It's a battle of the boys who punch first and ask questions never! We've got the kid who swallowed a finger and lived to regret it versus the original Spirit Detective who died, came back, and then died again just for the aesthetic! It's Yuji Itadori against Yusuke Urameshi! It's the Divergent Fist versus the Spirit Gun! Clear the splash zone, because there's going to be teeth flying everywhere!"
Ring 9 was a gritty, rain-slicked alleyway in the heart of a fictional 90s megalopolis. Rusting fire escapes clung to the brick walls, and the smell of ozone and wet pavement filled the air.
Heimdall was standing on top of a dumpster, holding a megaphone. "Match Number Forty-Three! The vessel of the King of Curses, Yuji Itadori! Versus the Reikai Tantei, Yusuke Urameshi!"
The Street Brawl
Yusuke stood at the end of the alley, his green school jacket draped over his shoulders. He leaned back against a brick wall, thumbing his nose with a cocky grin. "You look like a tough kid, but I've been beating up punks since before you were in diapers. You sure you want to do this?"
Yuji dropped into a low, athletic stance, his pink hair damp from the drizzle. He didn't look angry; he looked focused. "I've fought worse than punks. I'm not going down easy."
Without a word, Yuji exploded forward. His speed was purely physical, the result of superhuman conditioning. He closed the gap in a heartbeat, throwing a heavy right hook. Yusuke ducked, the wind of the punch whistling over his head.
"Not bad!" Yusuke laughed, delivering a sharp jab to Yuji's ribs.
Yuji took the hit, but his cursed energy lagged behind his physical impact. CRACK-THUMP. The Divergent Fist landed, the second wave of cursed energy hitting Yusuke a fraction of a second later, stumbling the Spirit Detective.
The Spirit vs. The Curse
Up in the booth, Deadpool was shadowboxing so hard he hit a floating camera. "It's a kinetic masterpiece, tum! Yuji is a brawler with a delay-action punch, but Yusuke is the king of the street fight! He's got the experience of a thousand scuffles!"
Yusuke skidded back, his eyes narrowing. "Okay, kid. Playtime is over."
He leveled his right hand, tucking his middle and ring fingers and pointing his index finger straight at Yuji's chest. A sphere of brilliant, azure spiritual energy began to condense at the tip.
"SPIRIT GUN!"
The blast tore through the alley, vaporizing the rain in its path. Yuji scrambled, performing a desperate, mid-air twist. The blue beam grazed his shoulder, searing through his hoodie and drawing blood, but he kept his momentum.
Yuji landed on a fire escape, kicked off the metal railing, and dived back toward Yusuke. His fists began to glow with a terrifying, flickering black sparks.
"Is that...?" Deadpool leaned in, his mask eyes widening. "He's doing it! He's pulling the slot machine of the jujutsu world!"
The Black Flash
Yuji's fist connected with Yusuke's forearm just as the Spirit Detective tried to block. The timing was perfect—within $0.000001$ seconds of the physical impact, the cursed energy applied.
BLACK FLASH!
A distorted, red-and-black explosion of space-time erupted from the point of impact. The sheer force sent Yusuke crashing through a brick wall and into the abandoned building behind him.
But Yusuke wasn't done. He emerged from the dust, his shirt torn, his hair messy, but his spirit energy was surging higher than ever. He wasn't using the Spirit Gun—he was coating his entire body in the Spirit Wave.
"You've got a lot of heart, kid," Yusuke said, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl. "But I've got a lot more to lose."
Yusuke charged. The two met in the center of the room, a blur of fists and spiritual energy. It wasn't a tactical battle; it was a war of endurance. Yuji landed another Black Flash, but Yusuke countered with a point-blank Spirit Gun to Yuji's stomach.
Both fighters staggered. Yuji's body was reaching its limit, his cursed energy flickering. Yusuke, however, had the grit of a man who had faced the demon world's elite. He caught Yuji in a clinch, delivered a devastating headbutt, and then fired one final, massive Spirit Gun directly into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Yuji flying back into the ring's boundary.
Yuji tried to stand, but his legs gave out. He gave a small, respectful nod before passing out.
"Match Forty-Three winner... YUSUKE URAMESHI!" Heimdall shouted.
Up in the booth, Deadpool slumped back. "The original delinquent takes the win! That was pure soul, tum! 43 winners down, 8 matches to go! We are nearing the end of the line!"
The Final Bosses are Arriving!
We're moving from the streets to the boardroom of nightmares!
