"tum, if you have any unpaid bills or unconfessed sins, now is the time!" Deadpool muffled-shouted from under the table. "We are in Ring 13! This isn't just a fight; it's the heat death of the universe in a 50-foot radius! It's the battle that has caused more internet arguments than the 'Is a Hotdog a Sandwich?' debate! It's the Hope of the Universe vs. The Last Son of Krypton!"
Ring 13 wasn't on the ground. It was a massive platform of enchanted Uru metal floating in the upper atmosphere, because a regular stadium would have turned into dust the moment these two breathed too hard.
Heimdall was broadcasting from a satellite three miles away. "Match Number Eleven! The Saiyan raised on Earth, Son Goku! Versus the Man of Tomorrow, Superman!"
The God-Tier Greeting
Goku was already in his Base Form, bouncing on his toes with a massive grin. His gi was fluttering in the thin air. "Wow! I can feel your energy from here! It's like a sun is standing right in front of me! This is gonna be great, tum—wait, I mean, this is gonna be great, Clark!"
Superman floated a few inches off the ground, his red cape snapping in the wind. He looked calm, but his eyes were glowing with a faint crimson hue. "I don't enjoy fighting for the sake of it, Goku. But I've seen what happens when you 'test your limits.' For the safety of everyone in this arena, I have to end this quickly."
The Power Escalation
Goku didn't waste time. "HAAAAAA!"
In three seconds, he flickered through Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and finally landed on Ultra Instinct. His hair turned a shimmering silver, and his aura became a calm, terrifying ripple in space-time. He moved faster than the eye could track, appearing in front of Superman and delivering a punch that created a sonic boom loud enough to be heard in the next match's ring.
Superman took the hit to the jaw. His head snapped back an inch, then he looked back at Goku, unfazed. He grabbed Goku's fist with one hand and delivered a flick to Goku's forehead that sent the Saiyan flying through three floating mountains.
"Is that all?" Superman asked, his voice booming through the sky.
The Final Beam Struggle
Goku flew back, blood trickling from his lip, laughing. "Not even close!" He cupped his hands at his side. The entire atmosphere began to glow blue. "KA-ME-HA-ME..."
Superman stood his ground, his eyes burning like twin stars. He leaned forward, bracing himself. "HEAT VISION!"
The two beams met in the center of the ring. It wasn't an explosion; it was a total white-out. The Uru metal platform began to melt into slag. The sky turned purple. For a full minute, the multiverse held its breath.
Up in the booth, Deadpool was holding a Geiger counter that was screaming. "They're tearing the animation cells apart, tum! Look! I can see the storyboard artist's coffee stains!"
Suddenly, the Ultra Instinct energy spiked. Goku didn't just push the beam; he walked up his own Kamehameha, using the recoil to slide through the air. He appeared right in Superman's face and delivered a "Silver Dragon" punch straight to Clark's solar plexus.
At the same time, Superman's Heat Vision increased in intensity, blasting Goku squarely in the chest.
BOOM.
The platform disintegrated. Both fighters fell toward the earth like shooting stars.
Heimdall squinted at his monitors. "Fighters... are down! Wait! One is standing!"
Through the smoke, Goku was hanging onto a piece of floating rock, gasping for air, his gi completely shredded. Superman was lying in a crater, his eyes closed, temporarily knocked unconscious by the concentrated divine pressure of the Ultra Instinct punch.
"Match Eleven winner... SON GOKU!" Heimdall yelled, his voice cracking. "By the narrowest of margins!"
Up in the booth, Deadpool crawled out from under the desk. "He did it! The spiky hair won! That's 11 winners down, 40 matches to go in Round One! The power scaling in this tournament is officially broken, tum!"
