Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Shatter the Ominous Star

Just then, the Ambrosial Arbor's root—sealed beneath layer upon layer of restraints—shuddered violently.

A far older, far purer Abundance aura surged outward, like a slumbering behemoth disturbed and suddenly waking.

"Hm?" Shuhu's attention snapped to it at once. His voice brimmed with elation and fanatic fervor. "The Arbor… the Arbor is responding to me! Of course! Only I… only I am worthy of this power!"

Unable to restrain himself any longer, the vast shadow began to compress and congeal, slowly revealing a colossal body that defied description.

He was going to the Arbor's root personally—to drink in that power with his own hands.

Dan Feng's expression changed sharply. "Not a chance!"

But the moment Dan Feng moved to intercept, an unbelievably condensed beam of Destruction fired from Jidu Mirage's core—not at Dan Feng, but straight at the Cloud Knights line below, already barely holding.

If that strike landed, the entire defensive line would collapse in an instant—casualties beyond counting.

Dan Feng's pupils contracted. He had no time to do anything else.

A dragon-shaped dharma-form condensed in front of him, meant to take the blow head-on—

—but at the very instant the beam was about to hit, a streak of deep blue light, brighter than stars, tore through space itself and descended from the far reaches beyond the sky.

BOOM—!!!

A violent explosion bloomed in the high air.

A circular shockwave expanded outward, shredding the densely packed Abundance skiffs overhead like paper.

Even the immense Jidu Mirage rocked hard, its tumor-like surface tissues dying and sloughing off in great swathes.

As the glare faded, a single sight remained:

A deep-blue arrow of Hunt-edged radiance hung nailed into the void itself, its shaft humming—its dissipating force purging the remaining filth cleanly away.

"What?!" Shuhu's voice rang out, shocked and uncertain.

Every gaze turned toward where the arrow had come from.

Outside Luofu's firmament, a figure slowly lowered the arm that had drawn the bow.

It was Wei Qing.

Behind him: Luofu's main fleet, completing an emergency jump-in.

On the bridge, General Teng Xiao stood like a mountain, eyes locked onto Shuhu below. Jingliu stood to the side—her Shard Sword already half unsheathed. Even at this distance, the cold edge of her sword intent turned several would-be ambushing Abundance birds into dust.

"Impossible! How could you return so fast?!" Shuhu roared.

By his agreement with Xingxiao, Luofu's main force should have been pinned down at Yaoqing by three Lord Ravagers.

Teng Xiao's voice boomed across the battlefield, cold with killing intent. "Shuhu. Your scheming ends here."

The vast Luofu fleet had already spread into formation, cannons trained on the Abundance host below—and on that grotesque living planet.

Jingliu became a streak of icy swordlight, plunging into the enemy first. Wherever her blade passed, Abundance abominations fell like wheat under a sickle.

With the pressure suddenly lifted, Dan Feng's dragon-cry rose again as azure waves surged—forming a razor-sharp pincer with Jingliu's assault.

Wei Qing didn't spare the broader battlefield a glance.

His eyes were fixed on Shuhu—on the instability in his aura born of shock and fury.

[The World].

"Guh—?!!"

Shuhu only managed a short, startled howl before the killing arrow had already punched through.

He understood instantly: his plan had failed. Those three Lord Ravagers were not to be trusted. They hadn't held Luofu's main fleet at all—if anything, they might even have colluded with the Xianzhou.

He couldn't stay here anymore.

Forcibly suppressing his injury, Shuhu's enormous body compressed and shot toward the hanging bulk of Jidu Mirage.

As long as he could retreat into that living planetary fortress—forget turning the tables. He could at least escape intact.

"Trying to run?" Wei Qing's voice—cold as a death sentence—sounded behind him.

Time's flow became bizarre again. Wei Qing closed the distance at an impossible speed, a cursed red glow gathering once more along the edge of the odachi in his hand.

"Stop him! No matter the cost—STOP HIM!" Shuhu bellowed at Jidu Mirage and the remnants of his Abundance host, terror creeping into his rage.

Cursing as he pushed his speed to the limit, he finally plunged into a massive opening on Jidu Mirage's surface.

Safe… for now—

That thought had barely formed when a razor intent that made his very soul tremble came chasing after him.

Wei Qing followed like a shadow, barging straight into the living planet's interior.

"You—!" Shuhu was horrified beyond words. This madman—alone—dared enter Shuhu's own home ground?!

The inside of Jidu Mirage wasn't cold machinery at all, but a nightmare of writhing flesh conduits and massive pulsing organs.

The air reeked—thick and bloody.

Countless malformed guards, birthed by Abundance power, squeezed out of the meat-walls and lunged at the intruder.

Wei Qing didn't even look at them.

[The World] activated again—and he released the strike he'd been holding back.

The instant time resumed—

A terrifying dark-red blade arc, like doomsday thunder, tore through Jidu Mirage's interior and spread in a frenzy.

Writhing flesh instantly withered into charcoal. Beating organs shrank, necrosed, died. Layer after layer of resilient meat-wall collapsed and dissolved.

The malformed guards didn't even reach his sleeve—reduced to ash by the erupting destructive force.

A vast gash was forcibly carved open before Shuhu. Through curling necrotic tissue, the color of Luofu's sky poured in—mixed with the stench and roar of the battlefield outside.

Even worse—

Shuhu felt it.

His connection to Jidu Mirage had been severed by that one cut.

The living planet—his final bulwark—wailed in agony as its vitality hemorrhaged away.

Crack—!

It was as if something had broken completely.

Jidu Mirage's violent trembling stopped dead. That nauseatingly vigorous life-force deflated like a punctured balloon.

Before the naked eye, the entire living planet turned gray and rigid—fully losing its activity—becoming an enormous, silent dead rock.

And then it began to fall, slowly, toward the sea of Scalegorge Waterscape below.
