Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 Episode 3 Serial (Part 2)

Immediately after, the perspective jumped to the Alchemy Department's registration point.

After a brief conversation between a man and a woman, the audience learned that they were both members of the Sun Keepers, and their purpose was to assist (?) Zhou Ning in unraveling the Life Alchemy Association's conspiracy.

A while later, when the perspective fixed on a shifty-eyed man, countless bullet comments instantly appeared.

"Yo, isn't that XB?"

"X-baby, boo hoo hoo... you're on TV! Mama is so proud of you!"

"Male 'mama', get lost!"

"XB fans, heads held high."

...XB was also watching this video at the time, and couldn't help but feel speechless seeing the barrage of bullet comments.

He had actually expected the intelligent brain to edit him in, but he never thought he'd get his own main perspective.

Now, he could only pray the intelligent brain hadn't included his self-introduction.

Otherwise, it would be a public execution, a complete social death.

But things didn't go his way; as soon as the perspective cut to him, it immediately flashed back.

The video showed the moment he first arrived in the game; he poked a small animal with his hand, squeezed it hard, and then sniffed it.

A line of subtitles appeared above his head: Engineer Apprentice / Player: XB.

"What a trap!" XB's vision went black.

He hastily explained to his livestream: "You guys listen to my sophistry—no, you listen to my explanation.

I just wanted to test if that thing was still there, because this game is just too realistic."

He didn't dare look at the video's bullet comments, because those in his own livestream were already making him feel extremely ashamed.

Even a dog would hang itself after seeing them.

The execution continued.

Next, as the perspective locked onto him approaching the protagonist, spoiler bullet comments were already uniformly flooding the screen with the same sentence:

"Hello, husband, my name is XB, I am your idol—no, wait, you are my idol."

After XB actually uttered that famous line, the bullet comments reached their first climax, and all the viewers saw the fleeting expression of disgust on Zhou Ning's face.

"2333, XB got rejected."

"XB fans, crestfallen."

"XB's silly look is so cute, I'm in."

"Is this the 'Child of Destiny' mentioned by the officials who can participate in the plot? After watching for so long, why does he look like an idiot?"

XB:...XB was so embarrassed his toes curled up, and he decided to mute the bullet comments for a minute.

Fortunately, the public execution quickly ended.

Next, the players were soon drawn in by wave after wave of plot.

The XB on screen received a task from the protagonist, patrolling everywhere like a Black Cat Detective, and the camera returned to Zhou Ning.

The video then clearly fast-forwarded, and soon the bells rang nine times, and Elvis appeared.

When he appeared, two lines of subtitles simultaneously appeared above his head and on the mirror he was holding:

Vik University Mage Department Lecturer / Curse God Cult Priest: Elvis Bart.

Unknown Anomaly [damian's ordinary mirror]: Allows you to have a mirror world that you can freely enter, exit, and explore, but it may also cause you to be replaced by a ghost in the mirror, forever lost within it.

It originated from Damian, the Archmage of the Era of the Four Heroes, who created this mirror by studying ancient texts and subsequently disappeared into it.

Zhou Ning:...Strange, why didn't I notice this thing back then?

The appearance of the concept of an Unknown Anomaly undoubtedly excited the audience.

What do players want most when playing games? Equipment!

"Mom, I really want this!"

"I want to know what happens if a player gets lost in the mirror? Do they die?"

"Just commit suicide and revive, what else?"

...Zhou Ning couldn't help but curl his lips; what a pipe dream.

There were quite a few Unknown Anomalies in the game, but these things were a bit like blind boxes; most were huge traps, and the few that weren't were all in the hands of NPC forces.

Speaking of Unknown Anomalies... I vaguely remember there being a not-too-bad Unknown Anomaly in Daklan City.

I'll look for it later when I have time.

Continue playing!

After a flashy mirror-drawing act by Elvis, he suddenly pulled an Alchemy bomb from the mirror and threw it into the crowd.

Immediately after, the intelligent brain firmly locked onto Zhou Ning's perspective, and the audience noticed that he seemed to have sensed something was wrong much earlier.

In a flash, a revolver appeared in his palm, and he pulled the trigger at the Alchemy bomb.

Boom! The Alchemy bomb exploded into a fireball in mid-air.

Subsequently, Elvis also revealed his true colors.

Since the main perspective remained locked on Zhou Ning, through Zhou Ning's eyes, a huge black fireball could be clearly seen hurtling over with a "whoosh."

Zhou Ning easily jumped to dodge it.

As he was about to land, Zhou Ning seemed to have foresight, pulling out a shotgun and firing a shot at the ground, using the recoil to fly into the air, perfectly dodging an extremely concealed lightning spell.

The fluid movements and aesthetically pleasing combat style made the audience want to offer their knees in admiration.

After a struggle, with Sherlock's help, Elvis was defeated and fled.

Before the audience could even breathe a sigh of relief, the scene was suddenly plunged into even greater chaos, as more Alchemy bombs simultaneously appeared on the scene, and a buzzing sound filled the air.

The drama's perspective then abruptly split into four parts.

The first part was the protagonist Zhou Ning.

The second part was Sherlock and his Sun Keepers squad.

The third part was Leandro de Pesa, wearing a freshman uniform.

The fourth part was the battlefield reporter XB, with eyes wide like brass bells and ears perked up like antennae.

First, Sherlock's side discovered the situation.

The one throwing bombs there was a clown with a hand-thrown ball; he was very powerful and caused quite a stir, but with the assistance of Sherlock's Meteorologist ability, the Sun Keepers concentrated their fire and quickly subdued their opponent.

Then came the third perspective, Leandro de Pesa.

Zhou Ning noticed that this Child of Destiny, who followed the original trajectory, also displayed his prowess.

Already proficient in Alchemy, he keenly sensed the danger, drew his greatsword, and charged at the target.

The one throwing bombs here was a student-like person, who was charged by Leandro before he could even activate the bomb, falling into a brief stun, followed by a flurry of sword techniques.

The poor opponent never even got a chance to move.

And then there was XB in the fourth perspective.

As the wall shattered, a coachman driving a public carriage broke through the campus wall and directly charged into the crowd.

XB was the first to be hit by the public carriage, and his head snapped to the side, killing him instantly.

After a brief silence, the bullet comments instantly flooded the screen like snowflakes.

"No!!! X—B—!!"

"2333, although he died tragically, why does it feel so comical?"

"You don't understand, XB's profession is a traffic police officer in Daklan, responsible for directing traffic in the game.

These NPCs are just too ill-mannered, XB died gloriously."

"Newbie here, just arrived, what's the deal with this XB? Is he a comedian hired by the officials?"

XB felt his defenses break again due to the idiotic bullet comments and decided to mute them for another minute.

Next, the audience noticed that in the first frame, Zhou Ning began to move quickly towards the fourth frame, and then the camera zoomed in, locking onto Zhou Ning again.

Several Sun Keepers fired at the coachman together, but after being shot, the coachman instead mutated into a giant monster, completely ignoring the Sun Keepers' bullets.

The perspective flashed back to a day earlier, to a scene of Zhou Ning riding a public carriage.

The players also learned that this coachman was originally a pitiful person who worked 16 hours a day, wanting to provide a happy life for his family, and was only controlled by cultists to become like this.

Immediately after, the perspective flashed back again, and Zhou Ning had already rushed in front of the coachman and pulled the trigger at his head.

The intelligent brain slowed down the camera again, even marking a health bar above the coachman's head.

All the viewers could clearly see three flaming bullets, spinning astonishingly, shooting out of the gun barrel in a straight line, piercing the coachman's head.

In an instant, an entire long health bar was completely emptied!

"Holy crap..."

"One-shot kill? Did I see that right?"

"Yes, you saw it right, my husband is just that amazing!"

...After killing the coachman, the buzzing sound of the Alchemy bombs inside the carriage grew more urgent.

The audience was extremely tense, involuntarily holding their breath, and Zhou Ning in the video did not disappoint them.

He blasted the out-of-control horned horse with a single shot, then climbed onto the roof by stepping on the tilted wheel.

When Zhou Ning finally disarmed the bomb and the buzzing stopped, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling as if they had watched a thrilling action movie with an incredibly strong sense of immersion.

However, before the audience even had time to take a sip of water, Zhou Ning in the video seemed to have found a new clue.

Through his conversation with Sherlock, the audience realized that this bomb attack might be a diversion, and the cultists' true target was the state visit being held at the Westershire Cathedral Plaza.
