Chapter 70 - Ch 70- Xilonen's Natlan Expressions

Sacred Flame Arena.

"Sister, where are you going?"

Seeing Chasca preparing to head toward the inner area of the Arena, Chuychu hurried after her and called out.

"Chuychu?" Chasca turned around, her brow lifting slightly. "You are responsible for treating the wounded from the Holy Night of the Return of Fire. This is not the time for you to be talking with me, is it?"

"I already switched shifts with someone else. Besides..." Chuychu frowned slightly as she looked at Chasca's pale face. "Sister, you count as one of the wounded too, don't you?"

During the Individual Competition of the Holy Night of the Return of Fire, Chasca had encountered Mauvika in the very first round.

Even though she fought with everything she had, she was still unable to defeat Mauvika. She suffered injuries in the process, which affected her performance in the matches that followed.

"I told you right after you lost the first round that you should get treated immediately." Chuychu looked at her stubborn sister with clear helplessness. "But you insisted that it was only a minor injury and would not affect anything. In the end, you lost several matches in a row afterward."

"Not only did you fail to win, but you even worsened your injuries."

The more Chuychu spoke, the more frustrated she became. She placed both hands on her hips and stared directly at her sister.

"They are only minor injuries. After resting for a while they will naturally recover." Chasca gave a helpless smile. She had the feeling that if the conversation continued, she and Chuychu would inevitably end up arguing again.

Although they had already quarreled while the competition was ongoing, arguments between these two sisters were extremely common. They could easily argue several times in a single day.

"You promised me before that you would go for treatment as soon as the competition ended, yet you ran off here instead." Chuychu glanced at her dissatisfied, her voice carrying a hint of resentment. "Sister, did you deliberately hide here just to avoid treatment?"

"Chuychu, you have misunderstood." Chasca laughed helplessly and explained the real reason. "I came here because Xilonen contacted me earlier. She wants to make some adjustments and improvements to my gun."

"My gun?" Chuychu recalled that her sister possessed a massive firearm capable of lifting her into the air. She had tried firing it once before and nearly got blown away by the recoil after a single shot.

If it was that gun, then it really did require some adjustments.

In the entire Flower-Feather Clan, Chasca was probably the only person capable of using it properly.

"I am coming with you," Chuychu said firmly.

"There is no need to be so distrustful of me, is there?" Chasca said with a helpless smile.

"Who told a certain sister to be so stubborn?" Chuychu crossed her arms and spoke irritably. "If I do not keep an eye on you now, you will just say those minor injuries will heal on their own and insist that you do not need treatment."

Seeing that her little trick had been exposed, Chasca did not argue further. She simply said to her equally stubborn sister, "Then come with me."

Not long afterward,

The sisters, who were not related by blood, arrived at the place where Xilonen was resting.

Inside the room where Xilonen had been sleeping, there was actually a red-haired woman present as well.

"Mauvika?"

"Mavuka!!"

The first voice came from Chasca, filled with confusion at Mauvika's presence.

The second shout came from Xilonen, and it was filled entirely with anger directed at Mauvika.

"You actually want me to forge an Ancient Name for an outsider?" Xilonen bared her teeth, looking like a cat that was about to explode in fury.

Hearing these words, Chasca and the others who had just entered the room were momentarily stunned.

Forge an Ancient Name for an outsider?

But Ancient Names were supposed to belong only to the people of Natlan.

After standing in the room for only a short time, Chasca and the others already understood why Xilonen was so furious.

Forcing something that belonged to Natlan's heritage onto an outsider was already questionable from a cultural standpoint. Whether the people of Natlan could accept granting an Ancient Name to an outsider was another issue entirely.

From a purely technical standpoint alone, the difficulty of doing such a thing was almost unimaginable.

The level of difficulty was no less than...

"It is just a small matter. There is no need to throw such a huge tantrum, right?" Mauvika curled her lips slightly, wearing a relaxed smile. "I believe that for someone like you, this is not an impossible task."

"A small matter?" Xilonen laughed in anger, crossing her arms. "Then why are you standing so far away from me?"

At this moment, the distance between Mauvika and Xilonen was several meters, far beyond what would be considered normal for a casual conversation.

Chasca, who often argued with her own sister, immediately understood the purpose of such a distance.

Maintaining that distance made it easier to escape.

If Xilonen suddenly lost her temper, Mauvika could immediately turn around and run, leaving the other party no chance to chase after her.

"Xilonen, I am not the only one being idealistic," Mauvika said with a smile. "Even the Pyro Archon has already approved of my proposal."

"You Pyro..." Xilonen suddenly noticed the sisters standing at the doorway and forcefully swallowed the rest of her words before quickly changing her tone. "Forget it. I was born to suffer anyway. Whatever you want me to do, I have no choice but to do it."

Originally, Xilonen had wanted to say, "You Pyro Archons only know how to exploit your workers all day long."

However, since Chasca and the others were present, it was not appropriate to expose the fact that Mauvika herself was also a Pyro Archon. Because of that, she had to forcibly change her wording.

Even so, Xilonen's entire demeanor instantly became listless, as though her spirit had been drained.

On the other hand, Mauvika looked rather pleased with herself, as if silently saying that Xilonen had run out of options.

Xilonen clearly had no desire to continue talking with this constantly idealistic former Pyro Archon. She simply turned her head toward the newcomers.

"Chasca, take out your Flying Gun. I will optimize it right here."

"After finishing the adjustments, I still have to deal with the matter of forging an Ancient Name for the Traveler."

When she said this, Xilonen deliberately shot an annoyed glance at Mauvika.

Mauvika noticed the glare but did not mind at all. Instead she asked curiously, "Is there something wrong with Chasca's gun?"

"There is no problem with it," Chasca replied. "The Pyro Archon just wanted to add an auto-targeting attack function to my gun, so she asked me to come find Xilonen to modify it."

"Oh?" Mauvika raised an eyebrow as she looked at Xilonen and said teasingly, "It seems the Pyro Archon is even more idealistic than I am. Why do I not see you throwing such a huge tantrum at the Pyro Archon?"

"Adding an auto-targeting function to Chasca's weapon is not difficult. I only need to make a few adjustments using the technology from the defensive turrets."

"But forging an Ancient Name for an outsider, and not just any outsider either. The Traveler is not even from this world, so technically they should be considered an extraterrestrial being."

While modifying Chasca's gun, Xilonen spoke through gritted teeth.

"Forging an Ancient Name for an extraterrestrial is far more difficult than doing it for an ordinary person. I cannot even find any reference materials."

Xilonen's intention had been to emphasize how difficult the task was, but Mauvika's attention had already shifted elsewhere.

"You mean it is easy to add an auto-targeting function to weapons?"

"Since it is that simple," Mauvika's eyes suddenly lit up, "how about adding an auto-attack system to my Flamestrider as well?"

"Mauvika, I curse you and your ancestors!"
