Mone interjected, "State your name! I do not slay nameless individuals!" The mysterious person, identifying himself as Conrad, retorted, "My name is Conrad, and you shall be the ones to perish." Conrad then assailed Bale and Mone with a barrage of magical projectiles.
Bale and Mone advanced toward Conrad, deftly evading his projectiles. Mone initiated an attack, delivering a swift swing with his halberd. Conrad's magical shield shattered upon impact, yet he remained unharmed. Bale then positioned his spear to deliver a piercing blow. However, as he struck, Conrad's form dissolved into a shadow, dissipating instantly.
Conrad subsequently utilized a teleportation skill, launching successive attacks against both Bale and Mone, who struggled to land effective counter-blows.
After enduring multiple attacks, Bale and Mone, in their frustration, resolved to employ a specific skill. As the aura expanded and made contact with them, both individuals realized the urgent need to distance themselves from Conrad. They fled, swiftly attempting to activate teleportation stones, but it was too late. Before Bale and Mone could utilize the teleportation stones to escape, Conrad's body, overcharged by the dark aura, exploded. The resulting massive explosion was visible from as far as the kingdom of Skyrim.
Following the explosion, the two dragonewts, Bale and Mone, lay side by side, facing the ground, their backs severely burned, indicating they had endured the blast directly. As they turned to face the sky, Bale remarked, "We are S-rank adventurers for nothing! Surviving a close-range blast." Mone added, "I want to eat a lot of delicious meat! Let's get back home."
Moments later, both spat blood, their vitality fleeting. Bale uttered, "So this is as far as we can go ?" Mone responded, "I think so." In their final moments, they exchanged the words, "Until my death, brother."
Conrad was entirely vaporized, not by an intentional act of self-detonation, but by an uncontrolled surge of the dark aura he wielded. This loss of control resulted in the demise of three individuals. Concurrently, the dragonewts' bodies began to disintegrate, fading into dust and merging with the ground.
On the same day, Alric and his group departed from the kingdom of Skyrim, accompanied by Callie. En route, they witnessed a massive explosion. Helga inquired, "Should we investigate the site?" Stella declined, stating, "I can cast a spell to survey the area; there's no need for us to go there."
After she cast the spell, which took approximately 20 seconds, the bodies of Bale and Mones had become indistinguishable, completely integrated with the ground. Consequently, Stella's spell revealed nothing particular, only a prominent explosion mark on the landscape.
Alric and his group are continuing their journey homeward. Concurrently, the King of Skyrim has dispatched a unit of soldiers to investigate the explosion.
